- [ ] Well it was a late Saturday evening and it was the day after I got my learners license , so I was really eager to get behind the wheel of my dads car. I tried asking my dad, but he was fast asleep and the keys were on the dinning room table, so I figured that it would only take a few minutes since I only really wanted to back the car up a little and than drive it back in place. It wasn’t that simple. So I got into the driving seat of the car and my close friend Aaron got in the passenger seat and we’re both excited like YEAHHHH I’m about to drive my pops car. I was more nervous than excited because I’m the one behind the wheel, but I wasn’t going to chicken out, so I put the car in reverse and I was a little confused in which pedal to press at the time. I pressed on the gas pedal and went flying back and I didn’t know how to real stop so I kept pressing pedals until I knew which one to press. While all this was happening my friend Aaron was scared for his life and I remember him telling me “Jon bro you are really really close to the car behind us, like really close bro.” I was like an ant length away. I carefully pulled back into the parking space and put it in park, and left it alone. So I was truly grateful that I didn’t hurt myself or my homie and that I didn’t wreck my pops car. So ever since that experience I never took something from my pops without asking for his approval and just became patient.
