Isn't gender a social construct and not even real. What the fuck does it matter how people identify on something that isn't real
Wouldn't that be gender essentialism
People who want to abolish gender are idiots, I'm gonna be honest. We have been referred to and differentiated as man and women since the 13th fucking century lol, this isn't a new concept. That is over 820 years ago.
Not to mention, by trying to rid of gender entirely you are literally erasing and belittling transgender people by saying "well your transition and gender identity and dysphoria don't actually mean anything because gender is made up".
Also most people are generally proud of their gender, I am very much proud to be a woman! Have you completely forgotten the fight for women's rights in the past? How important that was? Oh but that doesn't matter because women aren't actually a thing so lets forget the history behind them.
I am beyond annoyed whenever someone tries to tell me that I'm not a woman because it doesn't actually exist, especially as an intersex butch woman who is also a child detransitioner. I have been told time and time again that I am not a woman whether it be because I'm a butch, masculine, intersex, or because I once identified as a man and went through with transition as a child.
I have been put down, devalued, and unaccepted by people around me for these things and I will not let anyone tell me I am anything other than a woman.
Don't force your erasure onto people.
TRUE Gender abolishment = Advocating that there is no pressure to conform to a binary role or a "gender role". In fact, as someone who reads so many books on this topic, it is actually anti-trans/gender ideology leaning, not pro-trans. Google the term where it's primarily used.
I do believe that gender roles are put into society, and eventually, they manifest as true, that is called social conditioning. Though it is not necessarily a bad thing altogether. It is only important to teach that there are outliers. Does it fall under an ideology? Yes. Is it a construct? Not really, because there is no greater value like money, time, and laws. As well as something to be a contruct, it has to have some deconstruction. There's just not. Pink used to be called a manly color. It just changes with time. There's no specific reason. So, you make it into a construct while simultaneously wanting to deconstruct it.
