Morgana couldn’t help but smile as she looked around and observed the gloomy weather. The dim lighting from the sun as it was hidden by dark clouds, the smell in the air from the rain that fell. Why was it that rain seemed to make everything smell more crisp? Morgana reached her hand out from the protection of her umbrella to feel the rain pour down and hit her palm. What she wouldn’t give to just close her shop for the day and spend the day on the beach in this weather. It would have been just like she was home again. She got to the corner where she had to wait to cross the street. It took her a minute to notice someone else was there. They looked cold and didn’t seem to have any protection from the rain. “You look like you could use this.” She murmured extending her umbrella over towards the other person. “You can take it if you want, the rain doesn’t bother me.” Actually if she had her way she would have left her umbrella at home, but she’d been convinced by a feathered friend to bring it with her.
Basil had his umbrella this morning, but thanks to one of the officer's two left feet he had somehow broke it while it was hanging on his coat rack away from him. So now heading home and wet from the down pour. He was just glad that he had his coat at least.
Though it will probably rain tomorrow.....I better go get another one while I'm still out here.......
He turned himself around and hadn't thought about it as he stopped at the cross street next to someone. Not until she saw something kind of shaking and saw the young woman holding her umbrella over his head, He heard her and although he probably should have, he would have wanted to return it to her and still doesn't take care of the problem the next time it rains.
"It's quite alright Miss. I'll be just fine myself......but if you don't mind me asking, if you didn't want it, why bring it?"
