"Go away." He's not particularly interesting. So why does such an abundant amount of people make a point to bother him?

Sleep hadn’t ever been particularly difficult for Yui to come by, all things considered. Even on the most difficult of nights, she could simply will herself to sleep by shutting her eyes and counting until the conscious world fell away into comforting darkness. Tonight, however, was different for the young woman. Despite being in a room with all girls - and her roommates seemed kind - Yui was unable to sleep. There was something about the island that she couldn’t quite shake, as if it was all too good to be true. While she was able to distract herself from these thoughts during the day, nighttime was much different.
And so it was that Yui Komori walked, barefoot, along the surf. She’d forgone shoes for the night - operating under the impression that she’d have to clean sand out of them in the morning if she didn’t. Besides, the push and pull of the waves against her ankles felt nice as she walked. Drawing the light jacket she’d pulled on before she’d left her room closer around her body, Yui heaved a deep breath. It was only then that she paused as her gazed slipped to the moonlight on the ocean waves. It was soothing. The entire island seemed to be sleeping, save for herself.
Yui’d just begun to walk again when she caught sight of a figure a few yards away from me. They’d paused, just like she had. Normally it wouldn’t have startled her and she would have kept walking. However, this person seemed to be staring directly at her. Nervousness twisted her stomach, making her feel ill. Before she’d even thought to turn and get away, her nighttime companion had already started toward her. And so, Yui plastered a small smile to her lips in order to mask her fear. It was probably just someone else who couldn’t sleep, right? “G-Good evening!”
Shu has absolutely no problems falling asleep. In fact, he's quite possibly too susceptible to falling unconscious at any given time, opportune or not. Nonetheless, it's nighttime and contrary to his wishes, Shu is not asleep. Not anymore, at least. He'd been outside to escape the noisy people he had to call his roommates, and when the sun had begun to set... it had just seemed like way too much effort to attempt to trek all the way back to his dorm to do what he can do perfectly fine where he is, namely sleep.
And slept he had, peacefully at that with the sounds of the ocean dully registering in his ears. All the way up until now, when his eyes had peeled open to find the sky darkened by night. Haah... how annoying. His back is stiff from sleeping against a tree for so long, and the idea of an actual soft bed appeals to him enough to bring him to his feet.
It's when he's walking back to his room that he spots someone. He fixes them with a lethargic stare from afar, and his hesitation only lasts a moment. He resumes walking. It just so happens that they're standing in the direction Shu has to go. Maybe if he walks by without speaking, they'll ignore him like he plans to them.
"G-Good evening!"
The blond stops. Heaves a heavy sigh. Turns his head. Brings a hand up to lazily scratch his head. Of course not.
"It's not such a 'good' evening if I'm awake to say so..." Why can't the world ever let him sleep his days away... his centuries even... Annoying.
vamp so hot you can fry an egg || open/intro
He hated the outdoors enough as it was, but this was just infuriating.
This particular environment was exceptionally terrible for Kanato, and he despised the way it made him feel. He despised the way the humidity made his hair cling to his sweaty face, he despised the salty fumes of the ocean, he despised how the sand coated his bare feet more with each step… it was all so bothersome.
Even though the sun was setting, the heat of the day still lingered as Kanato trudged along the beach, having just awoken from a rather restless sleep. He clutched Teddy tightly to his chest muttering curses to the doll.
“Whoever’s idea it was to put me on this island with all these worms… I won’t forgive them!" He hissed, trembling as his rage began to build. The heat had stolen whatever moisture was on his lips before and his throat was aching with parchment. Despite all that, he felt nauseated at the thought of feeding in these conditions.
“I hate it here… i hate this place!" He wailed, feeling his patience snap. In a fit of anguish he took Teddy by a limb and flung his precious toy across the shore. It took Kanato just a few seconds to realize what he’d done, and he gasped softly.
“T-Teddy!" He screamed, as he frantically ran after the bear. He slowed his pace as he found his doll laying in the sand, along with what appeared to be a person sprawled behind it. Perhaps Teddy had collided with them and knocked them off their feet… but had he really thrown it that hard? He picked up Teddy, gently brushing grains of sand out of his fur and knelt beside the person. Troublesome as it was, he wanted to make sure they were okay, though he felt it was their fault for not getting out of the way… Still it would be no good if he stirred tousle this early on.
"…Hey, get up…” he said prodding the body. What kind of person lets themselves get knocked out by a teddy bear anyway…
He'd be lying if he said an island resort would have been his first choice for a vacation; not that that's what this is, but he isn't about to attend classes so it might as well be. Hot, humid, and uncomfortable, the conditions of this location made going outside even more troublesome than it already was. Annoying.
If he could have it his way, Shu would stay in his room all day long. Lounging around in air conditioning with peaceful atmosphere to listen to music--
Except... right. His room isn't peaceful, nor is it quiet. He's got bickering roommates who won't shut up, and their annoying screeching cuts through his music. If he can't even listen to a crescendo and he can't sleep, Shu doesn't see much of a point in sticking around some place. Which had been why he'd left in the first place. He'd only planned to make it to the hallway, then maybe collapse on the floor against the wall honestly. Yet somehow... here he is. At the beach. Standing right in the middle like a zombie.
Aah... he's spent. The sun in beating down, and there's sand in his shoes, but it takes all of three seconds to realize he doesn't actually care. Watching the ocean waves roll in and out, the steady pace makes like a lullaby. He could fall asleep right now, whenever it becomes too troublesome to remain standing.
Then something comes flying at him, and Shu figures that's it. He's done. His knees give way, and his body hits the sand with an unceremonious thud. It isn't like he couldn't withstand the impact of the relatively soft object, which he has yet to identify and probably won't, but rather his willpower. With just one blow it completely collapses.
He's got sand in his hair, but... whatever. Allowing his body to relax, he thinks it'd be okay if he just laid here for the duration of the day.
Except someone bothers him just as he's settling down, and immediately the eldest Sakamaki groans.
"Ngh... don't wanna..." He's too tired to properly react to said pest being one of his younger brothers. If he had the energy, he'd be far more annoyed. Probably.
