greetings, darling audience o' mine! i'm bites. i started this blog shortly after apv's release when i first got into cookie run as an excuse to practice writing. i'm not quite as active as i once was, but i'm still here, eager to serve you all the performance of a lifetime~. before we start the show, though, there's some things you should know below:

RULES FOR REQUESTS

-> i primarily write for kingdom! i'm willing to write for ovenbreak and witch's castle cookies, but will be less knowledgeable on them and therefore more likely to write them ooc. -> i will not write romantic x readers for any minor characters, even if the reader character is also a kid/the character is aged up. just feel weird about it. -> this is only for x reader stories, i won't do any other ships. platonic or romantic for reader is accepted! i'll assume romantic by default when both character and reader are adults, so do specify if you want something platonic or familial. all writing will only be sfw. -> you can clarify whether you want headcanons (a bulletpoint list of things relating to the prompt) or a drabble (a little story). if you don't specify, i'll just do whichever of the two i feel like. you may also ask for a 'letter', but unlike the other two, i will only write letters if explicitly asked for. -> all of my writing will feature a gender neutral reader, unless the reader's gender is specifically relevant to the actual contents of the request. -> will be updated with more boundaries as they become necessary to note.

i have mostly been focusing on that blog, but i have gotten some drafts started for the requests currently in my inbox. if i have an idea on who to write for, i might try to write something for easter quickly tomorrow as well. everyone feel free to suggest characters for me to write an easter thing for, though i'll likely only pick one, maybe two, suggestions since i won't be able to write more than that fast enough haha.

How do you feel about Shadow Milk Cookie's new form?

bad. i did not like the ending of by15, as previously mentioned. i am electing to pretend it doesn't exist.

Who's your favorite out of the Dough Trio? My favorite is Venom Dough Cookie.

I feel like they'd be very protective of their partner.

if that is what you all want, then of course. i mean, this is supposed to be a writing blog, but if you all just wish to speak with me, i am happy to do that as well. though don't expect me to be answering thirty-something conversational asks a day like i used to. my pace is going to be a little slower, lest i overwhelm myself.

Anyways I wanted to ask, if you havent been asked before, what do you think about the affection system and who is the cookie you have/wish you had the higher level with?

aha, don't blame tumblr darling, i simply haven't posted since december.

i've not been asked yet, no. i like it. i wish it had a bit more depth to it, like some branching dialogue options (nothing complex, just a positive/negative/neutral reaction to some of the things the cookies say? so that you're not stuck looking at what mycookie texts and going 'i would not fucking say that' haha.) but i do like it.

i'm working on raising burning spice, pure vanilla, shadow milk, and white lily's affection levels all at once, so... all of them. its so slow going when you're trying to work on multiple at once.. white lily's still on 2 almost 3, pure vanilla and shadow milk are early into affection 3, and burning spice i almost have to affection 5. i wish i just could max them all out already! but i suppose it gives me something small to look forward to chipping away at everyday, so that's nice. silly as it might be, its some motivation to get myself to get up out of bed in the morning, you know? i often struggle to start the day so its nice to have something simple to do on my phone that i want to do that'll get me started on waking up.

okay maybe 'kin' is a good word to use for my current feelings regarding ad-lib ending. not quite to the degree some people do it but... there's certainly something about him that resonates with me in a way that i do not think there's a better word for.

so whenever any of you lovelies are picturing me in your mind, picture ad-lib, aha.

i'm considering changing my username to 'ad-lib-ending' as well (i have the url) but i'm unsure if i should. i'm sure, had i done so at the same time as this retheme, many of you likely wouldn't have even known it was still me, yes?

so if i do it too soon, it will likely confuse a lot of people. and, indeed, to that effect it might be best for me not to change it so people can still recognize me by username even with the retheme? i'd hope my name being listed as 'bites' paired with my particular way i use my talk icons and speak would also help with me being recognizable to people even if i changed my username, but i know that the username is what people are going to see the most, and therefore remember best, so that might not be the case. i don't know. what do you lovelies in the audience think? best to keep it as batlovebites?

Hey!! Long time no read!! How have you been??? Honestly, I thought you were sick or something, hope everything’s ok! :0

oh, i'm sorry to have made you worry, dear. i just... didn't have the spark to write. and while i was still quite into cookie run, my energy was being more spent on a selfshipping sideblog of mine in that regard. of which i am still running, but i think i'm ready to return to this blog as well.

admittedly, not everything in my life has been perfect in the time i've been absence, but it is all... par for the course of life and i am well past it now. nothing to do with why i was gone. everything's doing just fine in my life right now. i'm currently in my second to last semester of college (it was supposed to be my last, but, well, complications occurred and the script had to be modified) and both of the classes i'm in are quite fun. i've been working a lot on my original characters and developing their world. i've done a lot of commission work that i've enjoyed and i've had fun with the prior mentioned selfship blog. so rest assured, i've had more than enough ups to make up for the downs that have occurred in my life since i last was online here. i hope all you lovelies have been doing well, too.

Same. White Lily Cookie's death made no sense to me, but it also did.

Like throughout her Beast-Yeast story she learned that you know, she didn't have to die to atone for the things she's done, yet... She did so anyway.

And then, Devsisters said that the story started with her and she will end the Act 1 story. I should've known.

Also who do you write for Kingdom now? So many Cookies have came. Also have you seen DevNow last week? SOOO many things have been revealed. An animated series, a movie... Cookie Run Crumble, other stuff too.

i write for everyone, darling.

white lily's death genuinely pisses me off. it was an extremely significant plot beat in her 'battle' with salt cellar cookie that she learns that self-sacrifice is not the way. and she agrees with it. her story so clearly seems like its about her learning atonement doesn't mean death, that she still has value as a person and is capable of growth and change and making a better world with her in it... and then they kill her anyway. who wrote this. what fool thought that that was a good message to send, that it'd be a satisfying story? its not even a satisfying tragedy, which is the worst part. it not being happy, while not what i enjoy, is fine. but it isn't even a good tragedy... white lily wasn't even my favorite ancient, and she still isn't, but i feel like i need to be her number one defender now. white lily get behind me i'll protect you from devsis's writing team. we can defy the script together and forge our own fates.

ah, but, there i go again. regarding that other question, i've seen parts, but didn't watch it in full. it does seem like there's some fun stuff coming.

How do you feel about Timekeeper Cookie coming in May?

i'm quite excited! i hope she kicks shadow milk's teeth in <3

despite what my newest theme-ing might make one think, i was actually... rather unhappy with the final beast-yeast episode and the direction they're taking shadow milk. i'm actually quite sick of him taking up so much screentime only to do the same thing over and over. what's that one quote from burning spice..? 'all this change, but its never changing!' ? quite. 'oh, he was set up!' please. there's been significantly more buildup for the ultimate cookie being the next big bad, but then its just shadow milk taking a piece of it...!? not to mention shafting the other beasts entirely and just throwing them to the wayside, leaving them as little more than decorations on him...

aha. it is likely best for me to not get too deep into my opinions on the direction the story seems to be going. i do not wish to hate on something i'm certain others love. i find it always best to keep one's mouth shut and just let others have fun. and, indeed, i am glad for people that have enjoyed the story. it is always better for there to be more happiness in the world than less, yes? point being, i am excited for timekeeper both because i enjoy her and because i hope she'll be used to fix some the things i find... unpleasant about how this arc ended.

that said, i do feel it necessary to clarify that i will likely be... quite slow. i do want to keep up with writing, truly, but i've come to recognize trying to ensure i get work done quickly just ensures i burn out all the faster. so, do please be patient with your favorite actor, hm?

yes, yes, indeed! of course, its using the base ad-lib ending sprite, not made from scratch. just with me making edits and color corrections for varying expressions. the old icons were also edited by myself. but the old ones did not quite feel like... 'myself' anymore.

haha, i do apologize for the suddenness of the costume change catching you darlings off guard, though. gotta add a 'shadow milk warning' to all of my posts now, hehe. but i am glad to return. i hope i can continue to write some lovely things for you all, should you all still want them.
