âUhh game software design and production.â Marvin nodded. âKind of nerdy I know.â He shrugged. He spent most of his time playing video games might as well make a living out of it. âA you in college or anything ? Or just focusing on your daughter ?â
Nerdy? âTch, itâs not. Iâve played enough video games to have some respect for it.â And somehow, a major like that just seemed to fit a guy like Marvin.
Roy on the other hand, hadnât been to school since heâd graduated five years ago. Heâd been to preoccupied with going solo, establishing himself, and then Speedy. Nowadays, heâd seriously considered college on more than one occasion. If it was even an option between Lian and finding a job to pay the rent plus whatever tuition fees heâd inevitably incur by signing up for classes. Still, he had eventual plans.
That aside, he had no idea what kid of major he was supposed to even go in for. A few vague ideas, sure, but everything was far from definite. But he supposed he had more than enough time to figure it out. âFocusing on my daughter, for now,â Roy replied with a light shrug, âalong with finding a decent-paying job.â he sipped his coffee. âBut Iâll go as soon as I think I can manage it.â Hopefully, sooner rather than later. Ah, well.
"Well thanks. I don't get that response too often." Marvin took one last sip of his drink frowning when he realized it was empty. Too bad coffee wasn't endless. "That's good. And it's not like there's a deadline for when you can go to school. No rush." He shrugged. If Marvin really was honest he wouldn't have minded waiting a few years to start college. So many years in a row of going to school kind of sucked after awhile.
"I hope everything works out for you though. Sounds like a load. If you need help with your kid I'm no babysitter but I'm sure I could watch her while you worked or something. Or if you needed help with anything.. else..." Casual conversation was a little harder than he realized. At this point Marvin had a few close friends and casual conversation wasn't something that was needed anymore. He could be a bit anti-social so this was pretty good for Marvin.

Roy was silent for a moment, trying not to see it as awkward as he took another sip. Right⌠It could always be worse. He should know that pretty damn well. Given the position heâd let himself fall into mere months ago â things were definitely looking up now. He just had to figure out where the hell to go from here. âHm.â
He stirred his coffee idly, casually eyeing Marvin from across the table. âSo, uh⌠College, right? Got a major?â Might as well make small talk, in lieu of any better ideas. He hadnât maintained a decent, casual conversation that wasnât with someone from the rehab center in a long time. Now was as good a time as any to start building the skill back up.
"Uhh game software design and production." Marvin nodded. "Kind of nerdy I know." He shrugged. He spent most of his time playing video games might as well make a living out of it. "A you in college or anything ? Or just focusing on your daughter ?"

She giggled, placing a finger to her lips in thought before she waved a finger towards Melvin. âLets see⌠Etativel nivram!âÂ
Marvin began to lift off the ground. "Holly crow !" His eyes went wide as he swatted the air. "You really are good !" This is so cool ! "This is probably the coolest thing I've ever done." He giggled as he floated with around.
Before Conner had a chance to protest he found his shirt raised and Marvin looking inquisitively at his abdomen. More embarrassed than angry, he shoved the invading hand away and frowns. ââm not made of rock,â he stated, rolling his eyes. More like made of steel, he added mentally. âItâs just from football practice. I told you, we work out a lot and it just so happens that I stay for longer in the gym anyway.â He rolled his eyes once again and dropped his hands, hoping that the subject would drop. He didnât need people pointing out how inhuman he was aside from being on missions.
"Practically." Marvin rolled his eyes. "Yeah maybe I got some work to do but I think I'm getting there." Marvin flexed his non-existent muscles grinning. "I'll be saving people one day you'll see !" He kicked at his board some, watching it roll a bit before jumping on and going into a manual.

Zatanna smiled nudging his arm with her elbow. âOh stop it, flatteryâll get you everywhere.â She winked playfully before raising a brow. âYou used to skateboard, right?â
Marvin smiled, chuckling slightly. âOh yeah yeah I still do. Kind of my hobby. What about you ?â
Zatanna rubbed the back of her arm giving him a sheepish smile. âI still practice magic ever so often.â
"Oh ? Got any moves you can show me ?" Marvin mentally slapped himself at his choice of words. "I mean, if you could show me a magic trick that'd be so cool !"
