Not usually in poison - though that should never be ruled out - but because of what it can do. Fae food, you see, is addictive. One mouthful is all it ever takes to make one ache for more, one meal is all it takes to make someone willing to starve when they return to the world. What can compare to the delectable dishes they tried in Faerieland?
It is very hard to politely refuse Fae, but, when it comes to offerings of food, one must, lest one be trapped forever.
