i don't actually find that DNIs work (save for like... one person...). generally bigots or people youd usually set DNIs against do not listen to boundaries

i have the red text on my profile for peace of mind. i write stories revolving around my own trauma and struggles for a lot of reasons. i want to keep it clear before anything else that if a serious topic is going to be involved in my story, i'm not just adding it for funsies. i also have ocd.

other thing of note is that i find the pro/antiship conversations incredibly exhausting and reductive and that the labels themselves don't actually have any strict definition. said bluntly, i believe the conversations to be had around it are more complex and including topics that shouldnt warrant a fandom label

one of the oldest character traits of memory is that she likes to be picked up and carried, (gently) shaken, or spun. she loves physical affection from those shes close to, and with scell that also looks like pleas to get into physical fights.

in old roleplays the "picking up and carrying" thing happened mostly with psych. i think he used to carry her mostly like a cat (under the arms). she also used to get into tussels with scell. i shant talk about the outdated texts though. i love those guys anny version that they are. Big Heart

actually to bring up the old text again. the purpose of her scarf for a while was just being scruffed like a kitten. quite a few pieces of old art somewhere in forgotten dms of her being carried around like that if my memory serves. the in lore reason her scarf exists is not nearly as sweet or can even really. be described as kind. but know that this does exist

i have to cut myself off now... it's late and i'm tired and being haunted so i will go on a tangent forever. i don't know if anyone is interested in the less serious fluffy stuff but i have quite a bit for both mem and blue...

What animals would u assign to each character? Like if they were furries what do u think would fit the most? I drew psych as a little fat bunny and it made me think about the others ..

I approve of fat bunny psych. I actually do have cannon animals I use for symbolism purposes- but I can put what they’d choose for themselves

Atrophy is a snake but I think he’d choose himself a handsome stallion

Horrors a dog (obviously) and would choose a dog- or a wolf

Psych is…a bug? I actually have no symbolism for him beside insect and object stuff- but he’d choose a badger as his fursona

Killer is a cat and i honestly think he’d be fine with being a cat

Dust is a rat and we’ll likewise with killer, horror really assigned them accurate fursonas

Dream is very bird like- I associate him with owls pretty heavily but I think he’d pick to be a horse like his brother

Ink is a dove but I think he’d call himself a pigeon even if those things are kinda the same

Scell is a wolverine and he’d probably pick to be a crocodile

Memory is a cat and she’d choose the same

Dr blue is a bunny and he wouldn’t pick a fursona he once again doesn’t really like animals

Psych is canonically a furry though he genuinely does have a fursona in text. I don’t think he calls it that because he doesn’t have the knowledge to know that but. He really likes being a badger

Psych loves badgers- think he’d be scared to own one because he might accidentally kill it

Atrophy likes anything endangered and massively poached. That’s awesome let me remove critically endangered animals from their natural habitat- that’s what he thinks

Horror..dog., I mean he has a dog. I guess he’d like to have a wolf because he thinks hes such a alpha male

Dust- I think he has enough we are cutting him off

Killer is unable to feel the warmth of anything loving him

Dream loves horses, he’s a horse guy- this goes for all of dream, swan loves horsies

Dr blue doesn’t like animals too much

Memory loves cats and would get a peccary instead because she’s weird

Scell probably would also like rats, he’d just buy one off dust-

i completely forgot about that dr blue animation i'd mentioned i'd make. unfortunately it was for pride month and i fear i may be a little late so here. was the roughest storyboard version of the joke (and i'd probably want to fix the dialogue but we ball)

anyways this is my opportunity to go on a rant outside of the tags about their dynamic because i like to talk about them (and actually write quite a bit for them i just don't share it). best put, both of them see each other as weird and strange and themselves as the actually normal ones in this relationship. it's kind of like that one picture of the bunny being groomed by the cat with the fun fact that both of them think they're the dominant one in this dynamic

the one whose actually the weirdest in the relationship? hard to say. i'd want to say memory because her whole thing is being a little off putting and being in spaces she should not be in. hunts (people) for sport, sometimes to kill. keeps interacting with people who are at best annoyed by her often for fun. knowing false prophet. but i don't know, mr "encyclopedic knowledge of the body, machinery, and the entire vent system of the place he lives in and doesn't believe in god despite having more reason to know that they're real than memory does and so repressed about everything it almost makes him seem out of touch" runs it pretty close.

they'd like to code together. memory has a deep yearning to get her paws on technology and fix it up but since the collapse of her timeline she's kind of been left a walking biohazard and dr blue would try to gently inform her that "well.... yes.... i understand but you're kind of... gooey everywhere and i don't think that mixes well, how about i teach you how to make webpages... or how to get past this wall in this game." blue enjoys putting little trash pieces together and making trinkets out of them and memory teaches him how to sew and knit so that he can make a little more than soda tab bracelets. i like to think that they probably get in trouble together sometimes too

What jobs and the like would everyone have in a domestic AU?

That’s actually a good question- so like a normal ass au where everything is good. Ok here:

Atrophy: Clothing designer or unemployed writing romance novels, living off of the money from his admirers

Horror: Slaugher house, probably has the role of using the captive bolt stunner on the livestock (air gun). Alternatively a cannery. Uses most of his money for someone he admires..

Dust: unemployed or he does kids birthday parties with his rats. They call him the pied piper..

Killer: unemployed, probably in someone’s basement rotting

Psych: Janitor for a hospital, or like I guess he could be a guy who does a lot of clinical trials because he needs money desperately.

Dream: ex-Pastor, ex- military, now is a lumberjack + woodworker.

Ink: Priest obviously

Fresh: also Same job in nightwatch, sketchy pizza place owner

Memory: Youth worker, child therapist

Scell: pharmacist

Dr Blue: industrial mechanic

I think that’s everyone? At least all the adults.
