Dust does enjoy one thing about horror and it’s his music. He figured out if he complains about the songs he likes during his torture sessions Horror plays them more frequently.

“No Horror.. don’t play bullet with butterfly wings.. 50 more times..”

I guess he’d act more convincingly by screaming for him to turn it off.

He’s basically a real estate agent (wow boring ass title to give him)

A lot of unrealized aus actually get to meet him- remember unrealized means they’ve had 0 contact with anything outside of their au. If you see him and he talks to you you’re fucked

Not that he does anything violent or says anything horrible, he’ll just tell you he’s surveying the land to give his customer an accurate description. What’s actually happening is your timeline has been chosen to be sold to his master the host god.

Creation gives up aus if they get too boring- not spawning enough inspiration for potential creators. So it’s offered up to the entertainment God to be broken open and modified.

That’s actually what happened to killers timeline lol. Just one day this normal classic adjacent sans saw this colorful freak and then the next week some demonic speed runner player modded everything. That’s what you get for being boring killer.

But yeah When an au or timeline is sold off to fannon it can be modded, hacked, rewritten- anything really. It’s freshs job to make the deals and sell off those aus to needy fans.

He’ll also appear to characters he finds personally entertaining- or the host marks as potentially entertaining. Paperjam, Memory, Horror, Killer, Error- all of them are taunted by this demon. Ink as well but it’s moreso them being coworkers.

Swan/Dream likes to hunt him for sport but that’s his only vulnerable relationship, all the others he takes a pretty controlling influential role.

Would you guys like to see his design sometime? A note about his design is he actually tries to dress as secular as he can. He really doesn’t like his master lol. Nor does he like the clown aesthetics- he has his own 80s businessman look he’s really into. He does have worship clothes but he only wears them when it’s necessary. Which is basically opposite to ink where ink is either wearing his holy robes or is ass naked.

The idea of horror listening to the smiths is funny to me. Atrophy would like the smiths, that’s probably the way horror found that song.

But yeah I can see horror taking the ends looping sounds - splicing them and repeating them on speaker for dust.

Anyways onto the question there’s plenty of ways he’s tortured. Horror just has fun with it really. The more he learns about dusts specific timeline the more personally intimate it is though.

I think horror likes burning him alive, that’s probably the most common method as it’s actually how they met each-other. That’s a long story but it’s “sentimental” to horror to chain him up and pour gasoline onto his bare body

A fact about dust is the way he successfully won his timeline is he managed to create a chemical that basically rapidly heals you. Not in the determination way where it rapidly melts and creates new cells. He managed to use other human soul substances (kindness mostly) to be able to survive a battle with the player.

But- the aftermath of that is horror can literally do anything to him now and he will just regrow. Dusts invention is now a curse. So it’s not uncommon for horror to remove limbs, break his teeth in, carve out his ecto body and dust to be able to fully recover like 3 hours after.

The stuff you see at the beginning of nightwatch is just typical gore torture. But to the end of dusts stay at the house (as I said before when horror gains more knowledge on dust)- I think it gets more interesting.

For example Dust is actually terrified of looping sounds and noises (Mostly because of his experience with repeating failed timelines). There’s this one later scene where horror puts him in a room wall to wall covered in clocks and alarms all blaring at once for hours. Rarely the torture ever gets to Dust but i make him break down a little in this scene. Funnily it’s the least physical torture you see but his weak spot really is anything that has to do with repetition.

I think the torture in the second act is way more interesting than the first.. but I think the basic torture dust goes through sets a basic bar

Killer is my neglected child

It’s not that there isn’t any lore of him I just think I somehow never talk about the guy in posts. Does anyone want to know about killer?

Just a side fact about the names.,, killer isn’t called “killer” until horror gains the ability to read code (from his host occultism)

He’s usually just called the cat thing, kitty, the thing, leaky

Dust chooses to name himself dust because he thinks it’s awesome- he will probably still reply to the name sans though. Horror learns his name when he first becomes a host cultist.

That’s a thing with worship, for the host, creation, the atomized- breaking reality is like a fundamental to being initiated. For host worshipers it’s learning the true name of your timeline/au. Horror just took on that name because “sans” is pretty far away from himself as an identity

Look at me rambling about horror. Back to killer..

I think he’s interesting because he is really ok with what’s happening to him. Killer meeting Horror is very close to how Horror met Atrophy. Just in this scenario horror isn’t as…kind and nurturing to killer as Atrophy was.

Killer did beg horror to take him though. Perhaps old posts contradict this statement but in my most recent version I have written- killer asked for horror to just do what he wants with him. Killer has to deal with the fact that he’s immortal now, immortal and ridden with the guilt of being forced to kill everyone repeatedly.

In away it’s an escape to be turned into a machine. He sees himself no more than livestock really. Horror I guess appreciates his corporation. That he doesn’t fight back or really do anything at all.

He doesn’t have to worry about his stages in this form either because his determination is constantly regulated and reduced with his vein pumps. He’s usually kept in a low stage because of this.

It’s really easy to just give up and be nothing at all, even if it’s consistently painful it’s blissful in the day to day simplicity of being an object.

I could go on about how he’s supposed to reflect Psychs experience being a blood machine but blah I probably said to much already.

i love nightwatch horror i loooveee nightwatch horror i love nightwaych i want to make a playlist for him .. if you have any suggestions .. heh.

i remember you saying something about a song for him but whenever i try to remember it my mind blanks out

I can make nightwatch playlists on Spotify if people want, the downside is you’ll all see how basic my taste is..

There’s a few songs I’ll add more but hope that’s enough from the top of my head.

I don’t use Spotify I mostly use my mp3 player and discman but I can use it for this

If anyone wants any specific playlists I can make some, just send an ask.. but remember my taste isn’t the most complex I don’t think. I’m still a music noob
