Old friends|| Izzy and Bay

Izzy: nodded as Bay spoke, trying not to let her confusion show through at all. Mostly she was confused about the break up but the shared custody of friends was pretty out there at well. "No you don't sound crazy at all. Boys are drama which is why im sort of anti relationships," she laughed. "But I'd love to sit with you. The friend I was talking about before is currently only doing half days of school so he leaves before lunch. It'll be nice to have a friend to sit with," she grinned.

Bay: rolled her eyes a little. "I was like that too," she agreed. "It all just kinda happens though, and before you know it you're in," she tapped her fingers mindlessly on the table. "Cool, that'd be nice. Do you know Jack Nelson? He's in grade 9 and usually sits with me too."

Jack: wrapped an arm around her so he could give her a small squeeze. "Thank you," he whispered before he started shaking his head. "I'm not I just tricked you into thinking I was," he giggled. Raising his eyebrow, he tilted his head so he could look up at Bay, his nose brushing against her jaw from the odd position he was now in. "Why do you not seem to believe that?" He frowned.

Bay: laughed, shaking her head back at him. "No, I'm pretty sure you are," she told him, nudging him a little. "You bring out my soft side too, you turn me to mush." She let out another little sigh, scrunching up her face at the question. "Something just doesn't feel right lately, I guess. I mean, don't go reading into it cause I love Dustin but, I just... don't know. It all seems like a lot, I guess."

Izzy: nodded in understanding, frowning. "Oh I'm sorry," she said softly. "That sucks." She didn't push it though knowing it was probably hard to talk or think about, even if she knew nothing of breakups herself. Laughing a little, she shook her head. "My mom's the greatest person I know and I love her more than anything, but she can't sit with me at lunch and stuff like that."

Bay: picked at the edge of her pizza box, fixating on it for a moment and her mind plummeted into the depths of the mess that was her and Dustin's relationship currently. "It's fine, I'm fine," she lied, letting out a little breath and rolling her eyes, giving a small forced laugh. "You could sit with me at lunch," she offered. "Normally I have to switch off days with my usual group with Dustin since, uh, breakup, and yeah, we're kinda sharing custody of the two other friends...." she trailed off uncomfortably. "If I had my own friend I wouldn't have to share though, which might be nice," she thought aloud. "I probably sound crazy right now, and you don't wanna sit with me at lunch, sorry."

Jack: smiled sadly, shaking his head again. "It means a lot that you would but I don't want you to," he whispered. "Fighting doesn't make anything better which is why when people do say mean things I just keep being nice." At her question, he took a minute to think before nodding. "Yeah I'm going to. I trust him not to tell either... and you're going to marry Dustin duh. I'll be his best man and give the greatest speech."

Bay: nodded a little. "I won't do anything you don't want me to do," she promised. "You're, like, the best person ever, you know that?" She let out a soft laugh. "Okay, cause I don't like keeping things from him, even when they're other people's things," she let out a little sigh. "Right, yeah."

Jack: shrugged, shifting so he could rest his head on Bays shoulder. "She wouldn't but I don't want people getting into fights because of me either," he explained. He wanted to mention that he was sure someone would end up in the hospital if Stef caught them bullying him but he knew he couldn't really talk about his friendship with the older boy. "Just till I graduate," he laughed. "Then I'm going back to Simpson... plus I'm not sure if I'll ever get married."

Bay: frowned a little. "I would," she told him softly. "I'd do anything for you, kid," she continued, wrapping an arm around him. She nodded a little. "Are you gonna tell Dustin? Or is this just between you and me?" she asked. "I'm right there with you," she let out a nervous laugh.

Old friends|| Izzy and Bay

Izzy: shook her head. "Thank you but if course you are," she said with a soft smile. "I wouldn't have said anything if I didn't think it was true." Raising her eyebrow she looked over at Bay in confusion. "How do you have half a friend?" She asked, not sure how that was even possible. "But two and a half is better than your best friend being your mom."

Bay: gave an attempt at a smile, not wanted to argue too much with the girl despite not believing her. "Thanks," she managed softly, still a little uncomfortable with the compliment. Bay shifted a little in her seat. "Ex-boyfriend," was all she could manage in explanation. Dustin being her best friend turned boyfriend turned ex was still a difficult terrain for her to live with much less explain, but she still had to consider him at least partially a friend, even if they were somewhat estranged currently. "But your mom's super cool. And pretty and famous and stuff. I bet she's a lot of fun to hang out with. Probably a lot cooler than anyone at Degrassi you could hang out with."
