labastian:

“they got better things to do with their time.” sebastian was lying through his teeth. he personally didn’t know how long they would be there. he was kind of glad they got away for a moment. to be honest, it was whatever the picture was worth. being a high target for these kind of things, sebastian’s photos were worth a lot, especially with a newly announced boo. part of him believes he’s just saying this in order to make it true– that they would leave them alone.

“get in the shade so that you’re protected from the sun– being sunbathed on a photo shoot is not good for business.”

Blaine hopes Sebastian is right. He'd hate for their beach date to be ruined because of ridiculous paps not knowing how to take a hint and leave them alone. He slips into the shade like Sebastian suggests and makes sure there's enough room for him as well with his sensitive skin. He presses a kiss to Sebastian's freckled shoulder,

"Oh right, of course." He smiles a little. "My big photoshoot with Kurt. I'm excited about getting it all started, honestly. What kind of style does he like to put his subjects in? Or does it depend on the person?"

“i can see it now.” sebastian smirked. “old man smythe, slips out and falls on rocks.” he chuckled as he got himself out of the water and nudged his body out of sight from anybody on the beach. he pulled blaine with him.

his green eyes floated down to his body and to his toes. they were already starting to wrinkle from soaking in water for too long. he wiggled his toes, feeling the pain of the cracks that were in-between his toes and his feet. he pressed his lips together as he thought about his old body, starting to deteriorate. he looked over at blaine.

“yeah i’m fine, thank you. what about you.” he asked as he read the concerned look on blaine’s face. “are you okay?”

Blaine smiles a little as they make it to their destination and finally pause. "Yeah, I'm fine." He settles down on the beach, looking past the rocks to farther down where paps are still wandering throughout the sand.

"Other than being a little sunburnt," He smirks, "Do you think the paps will hang around long? Or will they get bored and move on?"

“i dunno. never heard of french paparazzi before.” sebastian cooed. he held on tightly to blaine’s hand as they made their way across the waves. it was proving more difficult for sebastian. his cancer riddled body had always been weak against anything. even after countless hours attempting to work out and regain what he lost– it was always difficult. “but i’ve been told by santana that some american reporters are always around. i would think that they would have more interest in the issues going on in Nice right now rather than tracking down some artist and his super hot actor boyfriend– but news is news.”

he kept trudging through the water. “we’re okay though.” his voice was soft and calm. “though, santana might kill me if she found out that i left my phone over there. she consistently reminded me to put my phone in a waterproof baggie and take it into the water. i’m pretty sure i wouldn’t live to see my 34th birthday if she ever found this out.” he laughed to himself as they neared the rock formation. the sand was starting to melt into pebble and large slippery rocks. now he was beginning to lean more on blaine for support. he quaked as he nearly slipped on a large rock. he wondered if his skin would survive this, since he would easily bruised and cut.

“owe. fuck.” he cursed.

Blaine moves quietly with Sebastian through the water. All their stuff is over there, so...though it's not like these paps are actively looking through people's things. Their items blend fairly regularly with anything else people have left on the beach. Still, it makes sense why they're lying low but...

how long do they have to wait for them to dissipate?

His attention is drawn as Sebastian curses and he turns his head to look at him, "You okay?" He moves a little ahead and tugs Sebastian out of the water and away from the rock formations, safely on the sand. They can walk further down the beach and hang out until it feels safer to go towards their things.

"Least you didn't fall all the way down," He smiles a little, "Or there was some sort of quicksand situation." He teases.

sebastian didn’t let blaine pull himself back that easily. he pushed forward to press their mouths together. he closed his eyes and tilted his head into the other’s to make it more comfortable for his tongue to wiggle in. freely, sebastian explored blaine’s mouth with no restrictions.

he could’ve been doing this for hours for all he knew. all he knew was they were drifting further and further out to sea. he noted a moment were he slipped and his body was keeping himself afloat. he gasped as a bit of salt water splashed onto his face and stunned his mind for a moment.

“Oh dear.” he laughed as he’s hand went up to get the water off of him, though it was a useless endeavor. “you want to get back to shore?” sebastian asked blaine. lazily, sebastian moved his head over. in the distance, he spotted a small crowd forming. however something was off.

rather than the group storming the beach with beach towels and umbrellas, sebastian could spot the equipment for cameras. his teeth came down into his lips as he grabbed a hold of blaine’s hand. “here, let’s go over here.” it didn’t matter who they were here for– but sebastian wanted these moments with blaine. not with the world.

very carefully, to not cause any signal to the patrons on the beach, sebastian moved through the water. from what it looked like, the paparazzi was searching. there were enough people on the beach to cause a bit of confusion to where they were. he’d done these maneuvers enough to know that they’d be okay if they weren’t caught.

Blaine smiles as the kiss ends naturally, a soft laugh leaving his lips as a wave comes up and gently taps Sebastian on the face. He slips under the water, running his hands through his curls as he comes back up. He's about to say he doesn't mind keeping to the water a bit more, compared to the shore, but then Sebastian's expression changes.

His eyebrows crinkle together as he looks to what has captured Sebastian's attention. There's some small groups forming on the beach but...his boyfriend seems concerned.

"Okay," He says softly and moves with him to where Sebastian is tugging, "Is...is everything okay? Who are those people?" He asks, noticing that they're hovering around their towel.

surely, blaine has to know– being the boyfriend of a male like sebastian smythe, that he would never have to lift a finger. even to satisfy the public. sebastian would hold his luxurious lifestyle out by building the nobility of his brand while blaine could turn fat with breakfast being served at his bedside daily.

though, it was blaine’s determination to work and share himself with the world that made sebastian admire him. something he loved to see in the city of angels. one could walk down the street and pass by a somebody who is determined to show the world that they were worth remembering. sebastian was able to make that happen.

as anybody who knew sebastian personally, they would know that sebastian was lost in blaine. the world has to know that it was difficult for sebastian to fire his long time public relations manager over blaine. to sebastian, hunter felt like the only friend he had. often the only person who would drag sebastian home, puking drunk and allow him to sleep in his bed. even with the disaster that came from that event, sebastian couldn’t bring himself to poison hunter’s career by telling the public what he did. he felt like he was cheating blaine a little bit. but so far, sebastian hadn’t heard anything from blaine about it.

“are you saying that i couldn’t bring that to reality?” sebastian asked him. he came closer to blaine. he felt something brushing up against his leg. he looked down as well– as if he could see past the deep blue water to see what’s at their feet. “i believe that you would be able to do it.”

Blaine smiles as Sebastian inches closer to him in the water. He shakes his head and leans forward, nuzzling their noses before placing a soft kiss on the corner of the taller's mouth. Sometimes he still can't believe that this is his reality. That he's managed to find a good guy but, not only that, he's rich and incredibly well off--offering to hang the moon for him, if he only asks.

But while it's incredibly tempting, Blaine doesn't want to mooch. "I think you could do whatever you wanted," Blaine says, slightly teasing, "You're always looking out for me and giving me anything I could ever ask for. And that's more than enough."

“i haven’t been to those beaches in a long time.” this was a thought that just occurred to sebastian– ever since he was a teenager, it had been way too much to orchestrate. every time he went out, it was always a public event. maybe part of the reason why sebastian liked being with blaine so much is that he was alone but he wasn’t lonely. he’d always loved just sitting with blaine and drowning in his presence. they didn’t have to talk or anything, just sit there.

“you think you would like the workless life?” sebastian asked. that was a weird thought– sebastian himself really didn’t have to work. he didn’t even think that his kid would have to work if he ever had one.

Blaine slips under the water again, letting the sun warm his shoulders when he comes back out. He runs both his hands through his curls, looking back at Sebastian as the waves gently rock them in place. He feels something swish by his ankles and looks down, trying to figure out if its seaweed or some fish.

"Workless?" Blaine bites on his lower lip, "I mean sure--who doesn't think about that?" He smiles, "But I dunno, I think I'm too young for that yet, right? While it sounds incredible...I want to be able to make a name for myself first. At least try, you know?"

“which means i would be a super tall 70 year old man.” sebastian replies as he bobbed in the water. “every day you say? you know we don’t live too far from the beach babe– it is possible that you could go to the beach every day. though, i would be very interested in what would happen to your skin. from what i heard, salt water baths are all the rage.”

"Are beaches in LA nearly as beautiful in this one?" He grins, dunking his head under the water again. He tilts back until he's floating, looking up at the perfect blue sky, "If I didn't have to work, this is definitely how I'd always be spending my time."

sebastian dipped himself down so that his body was covered in water, but his head was above water and he was sitting down comfortably. “oh yes. this would be an addiction if it didn’t make me look 70 years old.” he jokes– watching blaine poke his head out of the water. there was something about those soaking curls and the way they framed that face that made sebastian’s heart melt. his mind captured the imagine to put on paper later.

"I could do this every day." Blaine admits and maybe that's a bit dramatic. He wondered if he lived by the ocean, if he'd grow tired of it eventually. Though he's not sure if that'd ever happen--the thought of living close to waves all the time? Definitely a temptation. "You're lucky you're super tall." He teases.

“hey, hey, you’re gonna yank my arm off– i’ve only got one good one.” sebastian said as he pulled his light frame off the ground. he followed after blaine, amused by how blaine acted like an excited child for the water. he walked calmly to the edge of it and walked seemlessly into the water. he embraced it’s chill on the hot summer day. “oh, that feels good.” he said as he waded in deeper.

Blaine laughs softly and crashes into the water, slipping down under the waves and wasting no time in getting wet. He's always loved the water and on a really hot day like this? The waves were a relief. He smiles as he pokes his head up, finding his boyfriend. "Right? It's perfect on a day like today."

“as long as you promise not to go running off with him on me.” sebastian jokes as he brings blaine in for a kiss. “i’ll put in your good name to his mixes. tonight though, i am ready to spend one day without looking at my phone. now how about that water?”

Blaine laughs softly and shakes his head about Kurt. "Oh come on, I could never." And he means that. If Sebastian can't already tell, he's pretty smitten with him, nuzzling their noses after a soft kiss. "Sounds perfect." And then excitedly gets up, tugging Sebastian up and out of the sand, "Yes, let's go!"

“a peer of sorts.” sebastian tells blaine. “i believe he actually has a studio in new york and on in la. i’m not sure.” sebastian takes the water. “well, seeing your pretty face during the interview has earned me a couple of emails. he wants to know if you do some modeling for him.”

sebastian left out the fact that he didn’t like the man’s brand that much. personally felt it was a bit too flamboyant. however, he thought he would just throw it out there in case blaine wanted it. what could go wrong? he took a sip of the water.

Blaine isn't sure about the 'of sorts' comment, it seems like there's more to the story there. He feels like the name 'Kurt Hummel' sounds familiar but he can't quite put his finger on it.

"He wants me to model?" He asks, excitement wrapping around his words, "Really?" He chews on his lower lip. "I mean, I'd love to give it a shot--if he's interested. That's...I mean, that's crazy."

“oh, i think they’ll see you shine. but just to let you know– i got an email the other day from a colleague.” sebastian told him. “ever heard of kurt hummel?” in that moment, he reached for his phone, just to realize that it was in his pack. too lazy to get it, he just relied on blaine’s forward knowledge of the fashion industry.

Blaine chews on his lower lip, sitting more comfortably on the towel in the sand. He reaches over and digs for a water in his bag, taking a sip. Kurt Hummel? The name sounds familiar but he's not making the connection. "Uh, no. Why?" He offers Sebastian the water in case he wants some. "Who's that?"

“i’m glad you’re here with me– big movie star.” he plays as he leans down and rest himself against the hot sand. he took blaine’s hand. “it’s okay hon, the water isn’t going anywhere.”

Blaine laughs, a blush spreading along his cheeks as he shakes his head at the compliment. "Big movie star?" He pokes Sebastian's side, leaning in for a soft kiss, "You're one to talk. And besides, that movie might not do anything for me." He laughs. "We'll have to see."

“i will never give up an opportunity to touch you.” sebastian tells him as he grabs the thick sun tanning lotion. sebastian moved to rub in the lotion to blaine’s skin. he looked up to see blaine’s eyes long for the water. unfortunately, the spf 100 lotion needed at least fifteen minutes to set. he pushed his lips against blaine’s curly hair. “in a moment dear. can’t have you washing away all this hard work.”

Blaine pouts prettily, wanting nothing than to get into the water. At least they're here, away from the responsibilities and pressures of LA. "Thank you for bringing me here." He smiles softly, leaning down to kiss him.

sebastian indulged in his boyfriend. he hummed against blaine’s lips and rubbed the other’s smooth tanned skin. “you need some sunscreen babe?” he asked after pulling away from blaine. he figured, even though blaine had that beautiful golden tanned skin, it wouldn’t protect his skin from the unforgiving sun.

"Uh, yeah...actually, on my shoulders? That's usually where I get the most sun. I'm pretty okay otherwise. Unless you just want to rub for the sake of it." He winks, turning so that Sebastian can reach his back. He chews on his lower lip, glancing out at the water again.

“actually, i think i’ll just use you as a sunblock.” he laughed. he reached for blaine’s torso. “that would be the best thing i can get on the market.” he pushed himself up and pressed his lips to blaine. “you think you can say here and be my umbrella?”

Blaine laughs warmly as Sebastian wraps his hands around his waist, pulling him further down so that they can join in a soft kiss. "You drive a hard bargain, Sebastian Smythe." He teases but he does find himself kissing him, nuzzling their noses afterwards.

“baby– how long has it since i’ve gotten something a la carte.” he jokes as he flips himself over under blaine. “i don’t think that i can get my chest? i can’t reach.”

Blaine rolls his eyes fondly at Sebastian's ridiculousness, moving to straddle his hips as he works sunblock into the other man's chest. "There. How's that?"
