Zelda Besh is definitely NOT Millie! Seriously hands down one of my favorite running jokes throughout the book! But in all seriousness this book had EVERYTHING! Heart, wit, sass and all the steam! I started reading this story when Kate was posting bites on Book and Main last year and the full story was so worth the wait! This is one of those books that you eagerly anticipate and you know you’re going to love and then you read it and it’s so much more that what you thought it would be! If you think you’ve read the boss/employee troupe let me tell you,you’re wrong there is so much more to this story!! It’s beautiful in such a simplistic way, Kate doesn’t overload you with details but you still feel immersed in the story, everything else falls away and it’s just you and these two beautifully,amazingly flawed characters! Ash might have climbed to the top of my favorite character list, I was expecting to love him but he just barged in and said “nope I’m your favorite now” And Zelda! All of Kate’s female characters are strong and Independent but Zelda is different she’s overcome so much in her life but she’s not broken, she used those experiences to make herself strong but not hard she’s still light and sunshine and that is just everything!
