hey :)) i find myself in a particularly bad mood that doesnt seem to go away. can you tell me what you would do? i think the issue is i cant deal with criticism, especially if coming from parents or teachers, because im afraid they might think i'm stupid even though im not) thanks xx

why do you think they might think that you’re stupid? believe more in yourself, you are smart and you’re valid. Start really believing this and you won’t be bothered by other people’s criticism anymore. Use their words in a constructive way, take what you think is actually helpful to make you become the best version of yourself and don’t listen to what you think is not helpful. If the things they tell you are just toxic and aggressive try to detach yourself from them and realize that if they attack you it’s only because they might be hurt/stressed/frustrated by other circumstances in their life. But first and foremost start believing in yourself, love yourself, start building your own self- esteem. Only you can do that, and i believe in you, i know you can make it ♥

@flogbaby but like what? lol i wasn’t trying to fight and i didn’t mean to piss anyone off so i’m sorry! btw i am white but i’m not american i’m italian lol and i do know bees, i know that they’re bred to overproduce and all that stuff... i just didn’t explain myself very well in the original post because i meant that we do not need to eat honey but we should still provide safe areas for bees. Anyway i’m happy that you do what you feel is right to help bees and maybe i will join a beekeeping club (tbh i don’t even know if there’s one in my area) lol i hate when people kill any kind of insect tbh they’re so fundamental to our ecosystem but somehow they’re also very underrated, i don’t understand why people are afraid of them, they’re just tiny lil creatures lol

If you literally Google is honey good for you, it pops right up that it is in moderation. Just like your little "bees existed forever" reply. Bees are dying if you didn't notice, and giving them a safe haven from as many pollutants and other harmful things humans have done is bad then I don't know what to tell you. There are plenty of humane techniques to take just a smidgen of that honey and be able to support the maintenance of a colony that would otherwise die

I think we should provide them safe spaces without stealing their honey. If you google “is milk good for you” or “is meat good for you” you’ll find articles that say they are. I don’t really believe in “moderation”, meaning that if something is good for your body it is even in large quantities (for example fruit is good for you no matter how much you eat it), so if you have to be moderate with something i’m pretty sure that food isn’t meant for us. Let’s take coffee for example, if you google “is coffee good for you” there are many results that say it is “in moderation”. I used to drink coffee,i stopped drinking it 7 years ago, and i know that coffe is unhealthy, doesn’t matter if you drink just a cup a day, it’s still unhealthy. Yes, you guessed it, i’m a health nut lol.Also i think we can all agree that providing safe heavens for bees is not really a solution, that’s more like trying to put a patch on the damages we’ve made. The real solution would be to stop using pollutants and start caring more about the environment. Producing honey to take care of bees is just an excuse to cover up for the fact that we’re exploiting bees to eat their honey. To save the bees we have to solve the problems that are causing them to die first.

i see and experience life very differently from most people so i know that i can come across as a radical weirdo sometimes, especially when talking about animal rights, and i don’t expect anyone to understand my beliefs and that’s ok. I don’t want to fight with anyone tbh especially in times like these where the world seems to need lots of love, peace, and acceptance. Let’s work out our differences and accept each other please, fighting and arguing is just pointless. Only Love raises our vibrations ♥

I'm a honey farmer. My family has kept bees for generations, and we have happy, healthy hives. I assure you that my bees are very well kept, and we have lots of family stories about people/nature trying to basically kill off our bees. Humans are the worst and will kill all the bees unless honey farmers like me and my family keep them safe. Honey is good for you.

I am very happy for you and your family, i guess we just have different opinions and we can’t always change that or convince others of our own beliefs so for all that matters it’s better to accept each other and keep doing what we think is right. So good luck with your life pal :)

when people try to talk about how honey is supposedly unethical because we’re stealing the bees’ food I’m just like, genuinely curious if you’re aware that the honey we eat is the result of beekeepers raising colonies and harvesting the excess honey while making sure the bees are all good and fine, and that the honey you buy at the store is from a farm and not just like going into the woods and sticking your hand in a beehive like a bear in a cartoon and stealing the wild bees’ honey

get ur fact straight before sharing false information. Honey is unethical. Especially the one you buy at the store. Producing honey entails the killing and exploitation of bees and even taking only the “excess” is unethical to me. Honey isn’t meant for humans, bees work hard to produce (aka vomit) their honey and that excess may be crucial for them to survive the winter. Beekeepers usually give them sugar to make up for the stolen honey but sugar is much poorer in nutrients. Also i don’t understand why humans think that they’re entitled to take whatever they want from animals. Honey is not for us.

P.S. not to mention that honey isn’t even healthy for humans

Symbiotic relationships like the one we share with bees exist everywhere in nature. Humans provide safe, protected and healthy living environments for bees and humans get a nutrient rich, tasty food source AND the bees pollinate nearby crops and trees. And with this symbiotic relationship keepers also help to create new hives, prevent and treat disease and help to combat the declining be populations.

Wanna know how I know that you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about? Because most of the “honey” you buy at the store isn’t actually bee honey. It’s basically flavored sugar water that’s never actually seen the inside of a beehive.

So why don’t you take your fake vegan outrage and channel it somewhere else. Like a book or something.

considering that the modern form of humans appeared on earth only 200 thousand years ago i guess that bees for all those millions of years just didn’t know what to do with themselves right? we are the cause of declining bee population and thinking that we can combat that by producing honey is just delusional
