“No, uh…” he squinted into the apartment, trying to see the damage. But there was still too much smoke, which made hims cough and back away a bit. “Decided to throw some wine in the burner. You know, standard… cooking stuff.” Elliot frowned at himself, and his hands, which seemed to be a little black from the smoke. There might be some burns under that, too, but he was still a little too shaken to know for sure. “But takeout is so bad,” he whined, slumping somewhat. “It’s always cold when it gets to me.”
scarlett nodded her head slowly. “i’m not that fancy of a cook so i can’t say that’s ever happened to me. my brother cooks a lot, but i guess i took the lazy gene and prefer people to cook for me.. i do make a mean chicken or shrimp fettuccine alfredo.. and i’ve got stuff in here if you’re still hungry if you wanted to come in.. we could get your hands cleaned up.”
