10 Tips for Success in Nursing School
How to Survive Nursing School
Nursing school can be overwhelming at times. Here is one way to look at your role as a student.
1) Consider school as your job. Your office is the library; you do occasionally have to leave your office for meetings (class).
2) Think of your courses as projects or accounts you would manage in your job (your assignments and coursework). You need to plan at least three hours of work (study) for each hour of credit in which you are enrolled. So, if you are enrolled in 15 hours of course credit you would plan at least 45 hours/week of study time. 3) What does this mean? It means that your workweek is at least 60 hours/week (15 hours of class & 45 hours of studying). On the bright side, you have 7 days a week to accomplish this!
Here are 10 tips to help you be successful

Bucket list: Become a nurse
Submit a wish here
I am new to the Studyblr community. You guys are great! Here is a small part of my study space which has my fake skull. Call me weird but it is visually pleasing to me, seeing as how I’m a nursing student who loves anatomy and physiology. I also collect vintage science paraphernalia to decorate my space for visual inspiration.
For Nursing Students, Graduate Nurses, Nurses that are burned out, or any Nurse questioning their path. Persevere.
BIG TIP IF YOU’RE IN A READING-HEAVY CLASS (psychology, medical-surgical nursing, biology, anatomy and physiology, etc.)
I find that because a lot of small details matter, studying from the textbook is extremely important. But when you have over 200 pages worth of material to study for an exam, what do you do!?!?!?
1) Read through the section that will be in the next lecture. Underline/highlight important information- while you shouldn’t be highlighting every single thing, chances are, a class like medsurg or a+p focuses a lot on details. Don’t take notes yet or anything- just read carefully.
2) Go back and take outline notes over the things you highlighted. In my example, I do outline notes that replicate the textbook headings, subheadings, and then information.
3) Print out or open up your outline notes in lecture. Write in or type additional notes, and highlight emphasized important points.
So why take the time to do all this? WELL MY FRIENDS, you will be a lot better off studying for exams! Because when everyone else is trying to study from the textbook and their lecture notes, you will have a streamlined version of the textbook, in outline note format with all the lecture details already in it. I found that this adds to my weekly workload, but greatly decreases my test-prep workload. :)
Hey everyone! It’s been a long time in the making, but I’m finally back to posting more printables.. just in time for those of you who go back to school soon. I have 4 to share! Her response 👏🏾👏🏾 her parents did well raising her & her family is very beautiful
I LOVE HER
Such a mature young girl!!!
I remember a time when I was younger, I hated everything about my hair. I disliked the kink, the thickness, and even the long process it took to tame my hair. Now that I m older and perm free, I love everything about my hair and its texture. Going natural was and still is one of the hardest challenges of life, but with this healthy hair I shall never revert back to the creamy crack! #itssofluffy #straightouttaperm #ilovemynaturalhair #almostthreeyears
