"I might be a mess, but I don't think I've ever been so chaotic that I didn't notice my hair change colour." Maddie said with a chuckle. "It was a potion, it was supposed to be pink. Obviously I measured one of the ingredients wrong."
"Obviously," Ben replied, trying to stifle his laughter, "Would you like some help reversing it? Or actually turning it pink? I'm quite skilled with potions."
"I can see the expertise. I was about to ask if you were a bartender in another life or something," Mateo said with a soft chuckle. "Cheers to you too, mate," he replied, clinking his glass against Ben's.
"I'm not but maybe I missed my calling," Ben replied, chuckling wth the other man, "Ah well, it still makes for a good skill for dinner parties."

"Oh yes! I'd love an apprentice, I've always wanted one," Ophelia said with a squeal. "Oh this is so exciting!" Ophelia then paused lightly, thinking about her ex finding her. "Wait... I don't have to like advertise it to the world right? We can just pass the business silently?" she asked cautiously.
Ben's face fell slightly into confusion. "Dad might want to put it in the Prophet, but I don't know if it would be international news. I'm sure we can keep it fairly lowkey, though. It doesn't have to be a big deal. Why?"
"You sound almost like you have shares in this establishment." Dorian said with a little grin on his features. "But I'll bite. Honestly, I'm hungry and the smell here is already enticing me anyway." He just hoped that the others judgement was good, though he didn't see any reason not to believe him.
"Not shares but I am in talks with them to be one of the venders for my event planning business," Ben explained, shrugging, "I've been going to this place for years. I take my sister sometimes after her games," he continued.
"Yes, it's blue, I know that it's blue, so you don't have to tell me. No, it wasn't on purpose, and yes, I am trying to figure out how to fix it."
"I would be very surprised and a little concerned if you didn't know it was blue," Ben admitted, laughing, "I was just going to say it's a good look for you but now I want to know how you did it by accident?"
"You can handle him. And you know mum will speak with him too– try to get him to see sense," Laurel tried to offer up supportively. "Event planning? That is so up your alley it's crazy," she laughed. "I would love to attend events that were all curated by you. I just know they'd be the most exciting parties."
"Maybe I'll speak to her first. She'll prepare him beforehand," Ben replied, shrugging, "Yeah, I thought so too. Plus I have all the connections to make it happen, you know? Like I know people and people like me. I could have a good client base and good vendors before I even start."
"That's brilliant news," she beamed when it was confirmed that what she was interested in was purchasable, clearly not bothered by what it might cost. "And you're selling it? Sounds like something your family should be keeping on display in your own instead of selling it," Pepper commented when he mentioned one had been crafted by his great-grandfather. "I thought the one with the gold trim could be to my sister's taste and match with other things she has."
"We have our own heirlooms from him. He made that to sell, people are normally thrown off by the price," Ben said, "You clearly understand the value though," he nodded and walked over to the display, taking out the one she was referring to, "Here you go," he handed it to her so she could look, "What do you think?"

"That sounds like some serious confidence in your skills so I'm up for testing it." Dorian admitted with a bit of a laugh. "And sure, I've only had one so apparating is still a possibility. Maybe don't ask me later on though."
Ben laughed, "Noted," he said, taking the other's arm and apparating them both in front of a pizza joint, "You will not find a place better than this. It's locally owned and its success speaks for itself."
"I'm going to jump ahead and say there's no use in trying to fix things– what's done is done," Laurel felt the need to preface, although it meant a lot to her to have her brother confirm that he'd always be in her corner. "So you remember we had a replacement coach when the regular Harpies coach went on maternity leave?" she finally began after clearing her throat nervously. "Well... let's just say I got involved with him and it got messy. Messy to the point where I cost him his job and he was removed from the Harpies as coach," Laurel explained. "It wasn't fair, I was the one who pushed him over the edge in the first place. He was the one who'd insisted on being professional and yet I threw him under the bus when we inevitably got caught," she further elaborated. "So all this to say... I know it was incredibly irresponsible, unprofessional and selfish of me. I feel awful about all of it to be completely honest with you. And I've been putting off telling you because... well because I was embarrassed of myself and how I behaved."
Ben listened without judgment. He was hardly one to make judgments about reckless and impulsive relationship choices. He had made many. Even if he had no regrets about his current relationship status, how it had happened was both reckless and impulsive. He nodded when she finished, "I'm not in a position to judge," he said, "But Laurel, you could have easily lost your own job and any future job opportunities," he paused, "His name is Dorian right? Have you spoken to him since it all happened?"
Clementine seemed to accept that for what it was. She knew how it sounded of course but for her, it was more like an artist getting inspiration. That's how she explained it. "Try it out? Would it work for me given every wand calls to a certain person or certain type of person after all."
"You're a wandmaker. All wands talk to you in some way. If you have a pull for something, there's a reason for it," Ben replied. He had been told stories of the living nature of wands his whole life. He used to hate them but seeing people who genuinely had a passion for it made him have some belief.

"I do love that about my man..." Gwen hummed with a little flirtatiously at Ben when he said he was self assured. She gave him a playful smile. Gwen never got enough of Ben, always feeling like they were still in the early days of their relationship, despite the years that had now passed. "I'm glad we don't have any regrets."
"I love it when you get possessive," Ben teased back in the same flirtatious manner. She had only called him hers which was hardly that possessive but he loved it anyway, "Christ, if anyone ever had any regrets about being with you, I'd think they'd sustained a head injury. I'm just happy you have no regrets about choosing me."
