A grand old building.
And while it might appear to be somewhat in disrepair, it is still the only institute of its kind in the city - catering to post-graduate and research students, and providing them with the facilities they need - and has been around for 90 years.
It was recently in the news, when the scholars around the corner at Mantralaya decided that they needed to displace nearly a thousand students to turn it into temporary office space.
