IF THERE WAS A REASON WHY HE AND CAP HAD FOUGHT IN THE FIRST PLACE, WHY EVERYTHING HAD HAPPENED.. it was barnes. tony didn’t.. exactly hate him - he couldn’t, not after everything that had happened, they had fought side by side after all, but.. he would always be the reason why he hadn’t gotten any closure with howard, why he hadn’t be allowed to keep his parents for a few more years, why his mother never got to meet pepper or even morgan later on and.. he couldn’t forgive that. he had forgiven rogers - mostly because they had been good. old friends and they had needed to be united, in order to fight thanos, but.. now, in here, he had a lot of time to think. sometimes, people did bad things because they had to and.. there was no changing the past. so, when he came face to face with the other, tony could only frown. “about time you got that broody expression off your face, wasn’t it? like.. come on, man.. it’s been years. you’re alive, so... look a little bit happier, will you? not all of us are that lucky.”

IF HE WERE ANYONE ELSE, TONY SUPPOSED HE COULD HAVE FOCUSED ON THE GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE - such as the fact that he was alive again, that he was.. breathing, after snapping his fingers to finally get rid of the purple grape, but.. he couldn’t focus on such good things, especially not when he was so, so far away from home - so far away from pepper and morgan and.. there was nothing he could do to tell them he was safe. god, his daughter must have been wondering what happened to him and he didn’t even know if they had gotten the hologram he had prepared, just.. just in case something bad happened - just in case what was meant to happen happened and.. he hoped they had. he hoped that they knew that everything he had done was for them and.. god, he was day dreaming. right. what an idiot. turning his attention back to his coffee, eyes snapped open, only to find a very familiar face passing by near him. “hey, sparkle fists!” he called out, rushing after her, leaving his coffee where it had been. “figured i knew that smug look from somewhere. how have you been?”

Heels clicked against the sidewalk as she walked toward her intended destination. Which was just WORK, Veronica had secured herself a job in city hall which had ( on a fair part ) been her doing on purpose. She had come to France as someone that no one knew. But, Veronica Lodge knew she would have to change that. To start off in such an important building, she felt that she would achieve just that. The straps of her purse clung tightly to her forearm as she turned toward a noise of something that sounded DESPERATE. A cry, one that probably should’ve been had in secret but, it wasn’t. It had slipped out, perhaps. “The party isn’t for a few more days,” Veronica replied with a freshly manicured hand ran through her hair in an effort to perfect the look she had spent the morning on. As far as VERONICA LODGE knew, there was no one here from Riverdale. Maybe ghosts, this person looked horrifically familiar but, there was no way. There was no way she’d see her friends again, either. No redheads, no serpents, no one. “And, it’ll be unforgettable.” After all, she had weaseled her way into being a part of PLANNING it.

ANGER. THAT WAS WHAT EVELYN FELT - anytime she thought about betty and her stupid friends, anytime she thought about what edgar had suffered because of alice cooper, she wanted.. to do something. she had never been a violent person - she didn’t have to, the people at the farm took care of everything for her and edgar, they barely had to get their hands dirty, but.. now, she was angry. now, she wanted to be the one  to hurt someone, to grab the first person from riverdale that was unlucky enough to cross her way and make them pay, make them pay for everything. SHE HAD NO HOPES OF STARTING THE FARM HERE - NOT ON HER OWN, BUT.. AT LEAST, SHE COULD TRY. SHE COULD TRY, BECAUSE THAT WAS WHAT SHE OWED EDGAR AND.. SHE WASN’T GOING TO LET HIM DOWN.  still, as a familiar voice reached her ears, evelyn turned around, a frown appearing on her expression. it wasn’t betty or alice, but.. it would have to do - for now. “oh, i know, but.. who can be interested in a party, when it will be filled with murderers?” she questioned, anger coming to her tone for a moment, before she shook her head a little bit. she needed to be calm, she needed to..  think. arms crossed over her chest, she frowned, moving in a little bit closer to the other. if betty was here.. she would find her. for sure.“will it? well, i find parties to be quite boring, if you ask me, especially if they’re being planned by the daughter of a criminal. but then.. what would one expect from veronica lodge?

Neville had just finished his last class for the day, deciding to take the mandrake he had shown home to look after it. It was still a baby so it still needed to be cared for. As he passed through the park, he looked around him, not spotting a single person so it was safe to put the plant down and pull it out. Making sure he put his earmuffs on first, he wasn’t making the mistake again like he did in his second year at Hogwarts. Not having his earmuffs on right made him pass out thanks to the mandrake’s scream. Luckily it was still a baby as a mature one would’ve killed him. “Alright little guy, you’re coming home with me.” Smiling, he couldn’t help but feel a little proud for being able to care for these things and teach his students about them as they do have some great healing traits. Noticing a presence from the corner of his eye, he put the plant back, making sure he wouldn’t knock another person out by its scream. “You didn’t hear anything, did you?”

EVELYN KEPT LOOKING FOR A FAMILIAR FACE, she knew it was probably useless, but... she needed to know if her plan had worked. SHE NEEDED TO KNOW IF.. EDGAR’S DEATH HADN’T BEEN IN VAIN, BECAUSE.. SHE WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO LIVE WITH HERSELF IF IT WAS. it should have been her - not edgar, who had dedicated his entire life to making sure she was safe, it shouldn’t have.. been him. she blamed herself - of course she did, but.. at least, she wasn’t stuck behind bars, in here.. if she saw a familiar face - betty or alice or any of their friends, she would be able to finish her plan. get one of betty’s beloved family and friends to kill her, no matter what it took. shaking her head at the other, evelyn shrugged. “not really, no. why, should i have heard something? i don’t really care about whatever you’re doing.”

DYING AND THEN COMING BACK TO LIFE WAS A STRANGE FEELING, ONE THAT TONY DIDN’T WISH ON ANYONE, but.. here he was.. stuck. he was here, physically, alive and well, but.. his heart wasn’t here. his heart was with morgan and pepper and his family, it wasn’t.. here, with people he didn’t know. of course he kept going - knowing that.. one day, he might have been able to find them but.. until then - he just had to go on with his life. passing through a coffee shop on his way to work, tony’s eyes fell on a very familiar face that made him stop where he was, a frown passing through his features. “well, i’ll damned. cap, is that you? it’s been so long -  didn’t know if you’d have wrinkles or something by now. what brings you to france? didn’t take you for the croissant type.”

daenerys did not known cersei, of course if her name was given she would KNOW but from a face alone, she had no clue. her last memory being arriving at dragonstone. the girl plucked various foods and tried them at her leisure. when hearing the other, she offered a smile, sympathetic puppy dog eyes, eyebrows knitting inUNDERSTANDING “you’re worried about your past life?” she asked. “fear not.” she said, moving to the taller woman. “this land is safe. i come from a cruel, unforgiving land. it will take time to adjust but you will.”

IF CERSEI HAD THOUGHT THAT SHE HAD HATED PEOPLE BEFORE, well.. she knew absolutely nothing. ROBERT, THE STARKS, SANSA.. they had been nothing, nothing compared to how much she despised the dragon queen. she had lost her life because of her, she had lost her child because of her and.. there was nothing that she could do here, as they were here, face to face and.. she could do nothing about it. still, it didn’t look like the dragon queen remembered her and.. she could use that. SHE COULD, MOST CERTAINLY, USE THAT. forcing herself to smile, cersei’s nails dig into her palm, as she turned over to look at the other. “i wouldn’t say worried.. more.. apprehensive. when people from your past start showing up here - people who have hurt you and your family, you never know what to expect, that’s for sure.” pausing, cersei turned to her. “it’s.. a relief to hear that, though. have you been here long?” she questioned, moving closer towards the other, a frown appearing on her face.

sansa heard the voice and it felt like a cold rush of sharp, biting wind. she turned and her green eyes looked upon the other woman, she felt sick all of a sudden. her bogeyman had ARRIVED. she had to find sandor NOW, she couldn’t stay here. waves of nausea hit he. it wasn’t immediate fear that cersei would lunge at her, it was knowing she would never escape the lannisters. despite her hair being raven black to play pretend as baelish’s niece who heWEIRDLY kissed from time to time, it was still obvious it was sansa stark to anyone who knew her. “what are you doing here?” she swallowed.

A STUPID - STUPID GIRL, WHO NEVER LEARNED, NO MATTER HOW MUCH CERSEI HAD TRIED TO TEACH HER. the stark girl might have escaped her grasp, only to become the sister to the king in the north, but.. destiny had a funny way of working things out and now.. here they were, face to face again, as if the years hadn’t passed and she was still face to face with the girl that would marry her son, at least.. before everything had happened. before, she had thought it had been sansa, she had thought it had been tyrion, but.. it was olenna. the old cunt, who had taken her son from him, using the stark girl as an escape. it wasn’t.. like it made her a fan of the girl, though. “isn’t it obvious, little dove? i was dragged here, just like everyone else. doesn’t make me any happier to see your miserable face, though. tell me.. where’s your brother? the bastard who proclaimed himself king in the north.”

HER LIFE WAS HERE,  her life was here.. only that it wasn’t. sure, she had been here for so long, but.. cersei could still remember how things had been.. before, back at home. she could still remember what it felt like to watch the city from her balcony on the red keep, could still remember what it felt like to sleep in her own bed and now that.. she had everything she could ever want and.. she could still remember jaime. jaime, who should have been alive, jaime who should have been the one who was given a second chance, jaime who deserved everything that she had gotten and who was, as far as she knew.. still dead. still gone, still.. no, she couldn’t think about that. she was alive,. she knew that it was everything he had wanted and more. still, during moments like this, it gets.. harder to forget, worst to forget and.. cersei only wished to be alone for a few seconds, before making her way back to the apartment. however, when a familiar voice reaches her ears, cersei turns around immediately, shook passing through her expression. as he held on to her arm and handed her his golden hand, cersei frowned, before shaking her head. “jaime? you’re here, you’re here.. you’re alive. i’m right here. i’m here.” there was still doubt in the back of her mind - he wanted the maid of tarth, he had been with her, AS FAR AS QYBURN HAD TOLD HER, BUT.. there was nothing she could do but hope it wasn’t true.

HE WAS GONE. he was dead, he was gone and.. there was nothing else that evelyn could think about. sure, it was better than being trapped in a jail cell, it was better than being trapped behind four walls and being able to do nothing about it, because.. it was her husband’s crimes she was paying for. edgar.. everything he had always done for her, everything he had sacrificed for her and.. now, the entire world viewed him as a criminal. a low life, someone who was.. much better off dead. france was supposed to be a NEW BEGINNING FOR HER, france was supposed to be where she could continue the work that her husband had started, but.. evelyn hadn’t had any luck. the plan she had started to put in motion, back in riverdale, was left useless, because.. she was stuck here. betty would get away with it, alice would get away with it.. and edgar would remain dead. so, anytime she saw a flyer about the damned party, she felt like screaming, she felt like breaking down and.. she was angry. so angry - as she ripped out a flyer, tore it to pieces and threw it to the ground, evelyn grunted, trying to fight the tears that were slowly coming. it wasn’t fair, it wasn’t.. who was she without edgar?  who was she without the love of her life? “edgar, i’m sorry.. i’m so sorry. i failed you, i.. “ clutching her stomach, she tried to breath, slowly, just like he had taught her, but.. it was hard. when the sound of footsteps approached her, evelyn shook her head, staring at the wall in front of her. “i’m fine, just.. just go get ready for your stupid party. i’m sure it will be just peachy.”

to remain anonymous was her biggest asset while here, she did not know how she was here or how she had left the guardianship of petyr baelish but there was no time to fret over such matters. she was here and she would survive. a kindly woman had allowed her to stay in what she assumed was an inn for the price of cleaning up a little and serving some drinks but coin was limited and she was wasn’t entirely equipped to survive here - YET. she would, in time, learn. the girl had her shawl up around her head, as if to still protect the distinctive red hair that was now dyed almost black. she moved through the market, accepting free sample foods. she had a satchel of foods she had collected but she almost tripped and she dropped it, she sank down to gather it back up before seeing one of the fruits roll to someones foot. “could you pass that, please?” she asked without looking up.

CERSEI WAS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A FAMILIAR FACE - a glimpse of any familiar face would have been good and.. she found herself growing desperate for any familiar sight, even of people that she previously wouldn’t have wanted to see - the starks, the silver-haired bitch.. even her brother, the brother who had apparently sent jaime to her, so she wouldn’t be alone, during the end and.. now, she owned the imp a debt that she would never be able to repay - something that cersei despised, with everything she had. still, as she was making her way to work that day, cersei’s eyes ended up falling on a very familiar face - she was disguised, yes, but.. it was a face that cersei was sure that she would know anywhere. she followed the girl down to the market, before her eyes landed on the girl. “well, well, what do we have here? hello, little dove.”

“the food here is incredible.” the blonde enthused. she had dreamed of a land where there was no war, only peace and the streets were of well fed people. she wasn’t on a throne, no crown upon her head but she was content for now with seeing people well. she had no lust to travel again, a home being all she had ever truly craved, the only shadow of doubt to this place was how alone she felt. without the cherry picked family she had chosen for herself in essos, she found herself intimidated by the modern land and keeping to herself. yet at a little stall she popped warm fried goodness into her mouth and smiled childishly at the person beside her. “i have never had anything quite like this.”

CERSEI LANNISTER WAS A DEAD WOMAN WALKING. she was.. not meant to be here, she knew that much, she knew that she was gone, she knew that she wasn’t meant to be here - because.. if she was here and jaime wasn’t, it wasn’t fair. he had came back for her, in the end, he had done everything to keep her safe, he had come back for her and.. CERSEI COULDN’T EVER PAY HIM BACK. she could only move on with her life, as if everything was fine, as if she wasn’t.. a dead woman walking, trying to find someone from home - anyone, she would even be happy with a glimpse of the dragon queen’s face and.. soon enough, her prayers were answered. face scowling at the sight of the other, cersei looked the other up and down.  “enjoy it while you still can.” she grunted, under her breath, hands clenched into fists by her side. “one never knows when.. an unfortunate accident might happen, around these parts.” there was no telling the hatred that cersei had for the other, because.. all she wanted to do was hurt her.

kara’s blue eyes scanned across the words on the flyer in her hand. a party? “ interesting choice for a theme, ” she said aloud, head tilting as she continued looking at the flyer. “ although, admittedly i’ve always wanted to live out my daisy buchanan fantasy from when i was in high school – i know she wasn’t exactly a role model but she was certainly fashionable. ”

TONY HAD HEARD ALL ABOUT THE PARTY - OBVIOUSLY, considering the customers usually liked to stay and chat with him after he had finished fixing up their cars, but.. he wasn’t attending on going. NORMALLY, THERE WAS NO WAY TONY STARK WOULDN’T BE FOUND IN A PARTY, doing whatever he wanted and drinking and chatting up with a few old friends, a lady on his arm every time, but.. that wasn’t him anymore. he was tony stark - morgan’s father, pepper’s husband and.. how could he be having fun at a party, when they were suffering, over his death? there was nothing he could do, nothing at all, but.. he could try and find them. “i mean, who doesn’t have some kind of weird fantasy from their teenage days? mine was dressing up as captain america, until i knew what an asshole he was. can’t say i’m a fan.” he and steve had made peace, in the end, but.. they would always have their differences - that was for sure.

TONY WAS DRAWN TO THE SCENE - JUST LIKE HE WAS ALWAYS DRAWN TO STRANGE SCENES, hoping that he’d be able to find them - to see even a glimpse of pepper or morgan or anything - hell, he’d be happy with a glimpse of steve’s ugly, stubborn face or even nat’s grin, he supposed that anything in here was possible - considering.. well, considering he was here. he wasn’t meant to be - HE WAS MEANT TO BE G O N E, he was meant to be dead, meant to be gone, because.. he had done what he was always meant to do, whatever it took.. that’s what he was going to do.  what he did, for his little girl, for pepper, for everyone.. 

if only he could.. tell them - if only he could.. get them back - but... as of now, it wasn’t possible. still, as his eyes landed on the man, his breath was caught in his throat, because it couldn’t - what the hell? when the little experiment failed, tony frowned. “you know, if you wanted it to work, you probably should have focused more on the technicalities and less on the appearances. not to say that a little showtime isn’t good, but.. come on man, that could have blown up.” grimacing as he looked the other up and down - the younger version of his father, he couldn’t help it but.. wonder. what would he be like - even younger than the version he had gotten to meet?

You know you buy an outfit and only wear it once maybe twice a year and how often do you actually go to a party alone and leave alone thinking ‘man that was the best time of my life’.”

EDGAR WAS DEAD - edgar was gone and dead and not coming back and.. she had to deal with it, every single minute that she spent in here, she had to deal with the fact that her husband was gone and dead and not coming back and.. that she couldn’t do anything about it. she had tried, she had tried with everything she had, but.. she hadn’t been able to save him - have been knocked out by betty and alice at the last minute, evelyn wanted.. to get revenge on them. evelyn wanted to make them pay for everything they had done to her, to edgar and.. now, she was stuck here and.. had absolutely no way to make that happen. the least thing she wanted to do was go to a party - somehow, she had ended up in the middle of the street, staring at the flyer for some sort of party. people were partying, people were having fun and she supposed she should, too, because this was.. this was a new chance, a new place and she wasn’t stuck behind bars anymore, but.. how could she even do that, when he was gone? “i think that’s exactly what you meant - i mean, parties fucking suck, people are celebrating, people are having fun, while somewhere, there are people who are just.. gone. not coming back.” shaking her head, as she realized what she had just said, evelyn sighed. “sorry, i just.. never mind. enjoy the party.”

EYES FLICKERING TO THE SIDE, ryan recognized her immediately - the saltzman girl, hope’s friend, the one that had helped him create the trident and fill it with dark magic, the one had fooled over the months as he was pretending to be headmaster vardemus and, he had to say, it was.. a good thing, to see her again. it was a good thing - especially if she didn’t recognize him, because it would mean that hope was also here somewhere and.. even if he didn’t have a vendetta against the mikaelson girl anymore, even if he didn’t hate her, he wanted.. to see her. to say thank you, for giving him a few good last hours and.. for helping him be happier than he had ever been, in a very, very, long time. “i think the clothes were pretty much the same, just.. outdated. think of the oldest combination you can think of and.. go for it.” he shrugged, hands clenched into fists by his side, before his eyes flickered over to the girl again. if she tried anything.. ryan would make sure she payed for it, terribly, for everything that had happened.
