MY LOVE IS THERE IN SAN FRANCISCO ABOVE THE BLUE AND WINDY SEA! OK this is super-embarrassing (to my wife and teenager - I have no shame left). It is pretty cool that's my wife though - you all probably thought all these years I made her up or at least drew her way too pretty, am I right? Nope that was really her. (I mean "was", once this goes up figuring I'll be given roughly 2-3 hours to pack and leave) We Love You Too Tony!

Most people go on long vacations to get away from work. Though I guess when "work" is sitting in the lounge of a three-star restaurant 30 miles hell and gone from anywhere in the Canadian wilderness, sipping Manhattans while you draw...
then I guess you are well-justified in hating me.
Anyway this is "What I Did Over Summer Vacation, 2011" - just a quick pencil sketch of the cookhouse at Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, an utterly spectacular adventure camp ("glamp") buried halfway up the wild west coast of Vancouver Island. With utterly spectacular food - especially if your tastes run to salmon, crisp Canadian whites, and pretty much anything sous vide. How they pull this off with a one-hour boat ride to the nearest (very small) town for supplies I have no idea.
Go there. The days excursions and exertions totally justify the vast amount of top-quality meals you'll shovel down. And the bears actually do walk right past the dining room window.
