Reblogging fat Olympic athletes as self care.
If you wouldn’t post someone like Holley to your #fitspo blog, then it’s obvious that you care about aesthetics more than actual fitness.
Fat does not equal unhealthy.
She had an awesome True Life episode as well. She was a varsity football player in high school!
Just your daily reminder, fat does not equal unhealthy and there are lots of amazing and strong fat people in the world who are super fit. And even if you are an unhealthy fat person that does not mean you aren’t just as smart and wonderful and deserving of respect and love.

teach yourself that fat bodies are beautiful.
Saw this in the display window of a local book shop I like.
Sorry, I've been inactive. There's a lot going on over here. It's nothing bad directly involving me, but it's bad for other people I care about and what not. As well as working 40 plus hours a week and trying to maintain a relationship.
I dearly wish that people would view their bodies as they view flowers…

Loving yourself…does not mean being self-absorbed, it means welcoming yourself as the most honored guest in your own heart.

My Mindset.
I’m attractive, I know this. You telling me I’m attractive doesn’t make me feel any better, you telling my I’m ugly doesn’t make me feel any worse. My self-perception is solely based on my own opinions, because sorry, you’re not important to me.
RANT
okay, so I started up a nude blog about a month ago as a way to explore my sexuality and all that as I feel like the sexual abuse in my past sort of delayed and skewed my sexual development.
Well I got a message from this "body positive blog" asking for a submission and already I'm a little weary because it's like why are you messaging a nude/porn blog for this kind of stuff? Well I go on it and all the pictures are of thinner white girls with nice boobs. I went through about seven pages before I was like is this a joke? So I message them back saying I wasn't going to submit to a blog that didn't promote legitimate body positive concepts. The mediator of the blog comes back at me almost immediately saying how rude I am and that they "never turn down any submission" and I'm like that's great... but still as a body positive blog you should be making an effort to find EVERY kind of body to put on your blog. THEN he says "well we can't help what we get, we get what we get".
BULLSHIT, bull fucking shit you get what you get. You went out of your way to ask me to submit to your blog. You didn't have to choose me, you didn't have to choose to ask the girl who basically already fits society's acceptable version of attractiveness, but you did. This fucker could have found thousands of other participants to submit to his blog not me.
piece of fucking shit. I can't believe someone can call themselves "body positive" and then call me "rude" and "ignorant" for pointing that out. I'm seriously fuming.
I repeatedly get told that I need to lose weight. I’m sorry but that is such a load of crap! No I’m not the skinniest girl but I also don’t want to be. I love my feminine figure, slightly thicker thighs, curvy hips and a stomach that isn’t flat. I LOVE IT. The problem with today’s society is that if we do not match up to ‘the perfect woman’, we just get slated and humiliated. My boyfriend loves my body and I’m more than happy with that. If he’s happy then so am I. The rest of the world can shove their ratty opinions between my strong thighs.
