I currently work for the Norfolk Tides which is a Minor league Baseball team, and I think creating an app to increase fan experience at Minor League Baseball games is a great idea. Creating an app on smart phones to help increase the fan experience and fan involvement is so important in society today. This is important because not only does everyone typically have smart phones, but also because including technology into baseball makes people, especially young adults more interested about getting involved during the game experience.

So first the in-game experience; if fans do not feel included in the game they loose interest quickly. So for example, when I went to the Seattle Mariners baseball game they had different activities during the game for fans and families to participate in before, during, and after the game. All of these components help make the in-game experience so much more interesting. Next is social media; social media in society today is everything. Especially, Snap Chat so most baseball teams have the typical social media components, yet if they have different Snap Chat filters, young teens and adults love this aspect of the experience. The second screen experience helps fans understand the game of baseball, as well as watching replays, trivia games, or other things provided on big screens in the stadiums. Finally, digital-centric content needs to be used during the baseball experience to ensure everyone is happy and occupied throughout the entire game.
