for best experience, listen to; not allowed - tv girl
oikawa could tell your heart was hurting. and he couldn’t help but talk to it.
“he never texted you back, did he?” oikawa questions and you pause, letting your shoulders slump in defeat.
you sigh, “nope.” looking back over at him with your eyes that told it all. you stand closer to him and lean on the wired fence, letting your fingers hook around its wires.
he can see that there’s a bitter expression on your face as you think about the boy who you waited for and the message that never came.
oikawa takes a deep breath, “hey.”
you stare over at him with your eyes brimming with crystal tears. he notices, but doesn’t speak yet. instead, he steps closer to you, his nose almost touching yours and he breathes out, “just know, he’s missing out on getting to know the cutest girl on the planet.”
you see the view of his chocolate eyes, and how sweet they are as they look far into yours. And his soft lips, that speak to your heart with a grin, while his swirly hair touches your forehead.
oikawa slowly turns his back to you, and his eyes travel up to the orange sky, “there is someone out there for you, ok? and it just wasn’t that guy.”
you bite your lip and there’s a outer space look in your eyes as you watch the sky with him. your mind is full of floating thoughts, and then there’s oikawa’s words that stay grounded and remind you to not worry about a thing.
You let out a relieving sigh, and let your eyes meet with his, “I hope he finds me one day.”
he feels the heat rise to his cheeks again, and nods before letting his mind wander to all of the times he wanted to tell you that he already found you.
he’s still waiting and he’ll keep waiting. you just need to find him now, in this club of broken hearts called high school love.
Imagine catching butterflies with Xiao… Well, kind of. Do the ones in your stomach count? Those have been living there for a while >.<
Notes: Just some fluff
After a day of barely being able to catch crystalflies once again (you needed them for crafting condensed resin AND to fulfill a commission request, after all) your moping takes you to a picturesque spot.
The leaves are a soft yellow as they sway with the breeze, and under it is a perculiar sight; Xiao, napping by its roots and looking oddly comfortable. Though as you approached him, you note that with all his work protecting Liyue, you wouldn’t put it past him to neglect rest for his duties. Xiao is kind, that way.
…Or perhaps adepti did not need to sleep, and he’s simply decided to do this because the weather was perfect for a short nap. You never know, with him.
Stepping closer, you notice something glittering on his hair - it almost seemed alive. Three seconds later you realise it was alive - a crystalfly is perched on Xiao’s head!
No way… Can I catch it? You start to circle about the sleeping man, not getting too close lest you startle either one of them. Before you can think twice, it starts to flap its wings as if to take off, causing you to dart forward in an attempt to grab it.
Just as you did that, Xiao’s eyes flutter open - just in time to freeze as you tried not to trip and fall onto him. You’re half-sure that if he hadn’t processed this quick enough, he might’ve instinctively taken you for an attacker and countered your action. You awkwardly crack a smile while you loom over him, finding it hard to explain to Xiao how you were not doing anything suspicious.
When he speaks, you step back and take your shadow along with you. The sunlight hits his eyes better now. You can’t help but think that he’s incredibly pretty, even in normal moments like these - no, especially these, you suppose you’d rather say.
Later on Xiao offers to help you with your crystalfly farming after having heard of your struggles with it. The trick is to be quick and not hesitate, he says - but how could your speed every compare to his?
When you mention how you wonder what it’s like to be that swift, XIao suggests the unexpected; picking you up to higher ground to try it for yourself (seeing as gliding is indeed faster in some cases). You then find yourself high up in the large tree that stretched toward the sky - arms instinctually wrapped around his neck to steady yourself. Despite the height, you felt safe in Xiao’s arms - they’re protective and secure in how they support you, lifting you with unassuming ease. And with that, your little hunt for more winged gems continue.
streamer!au could be an smau for xiao 🤔 ahh i want to make streamer headcannons for the genshin boys
warning: language
there’s just something nice about having xiao as a boyfriend, who is also a streamer. most of this is really just admiring him and his quirks when he plays, his jibes and interesting reactions, and also that nonstop attention he to give to you regardless of what he’s doing (which takes place especially when he streams)
xiao is a well-known one, in fact, and his schedule is usually to stream three times a week for about a couple hours at a time. he grew in popularity after playing a game with a friend (@tartartaglia on tweetch go subscribe) and people really liked how chill he was. once he turned on his video for the first time, you can probably guess more and more people watched him. his subscribers take all that they can from seeing him live because he’s just that type of person to pull in a crowd without even trying. or noticing.
he’s good looking, his voice is soothing to listen to, and he’s a good gamer. xiao knows strategies for certain games or even just brute forces his way through others. either way, he’s a popular choice for a team player.
his commentary is also pretty entertaining. he could be playing a horror game and start ranting, in a monotone voice mind you, about how the ghost is literally making his gameplay harder (which it’s supposed to… anyways). he’s not particularly afraid of jump scares and stuff, just a little startled at times. though, xiao also doesn’t yell—he just slightly raises his voice.
“and i have to run because you’re breathing down my neck like an asshole and I can’t stop or else i’ll lose. fuck shit.”
“hey ghost, can you shut the hell up? i’m trying to hear the damn mechanism.”
he also lowkey rage quits but it’s not in a fiery way, more like… cold…
“screw this game.” *square dies again when hitting a spike, exhales in exasperation while running a hand through his hair ”i will throw this computer into the fucking sun—“ *dies again and slams forehead on the table*
or he could be playing the most wholesome game that doesn’t seem to match his aesthetic. to be honest, he’s playing these games most of the time
“oh my god—guys they have tomato plants. i’ve always wanted a tomato plant.”
“they have cats? i’m playing this instead, childe can play genshin on his own.”
the chat is surprised to hear his obvious infatuation for small animals and things deemed to “cutesy” for him but they love the stark contrast from his demeanor. another thing they also didn’t expect was how soft he was for his s/o.
xiao says more than he would like about you and this is because he doesn’t even notice that he talks about you. like people know he’s dating someone, there’s always food or water being handed to him from the side and a voice calling his name in the background. but you’ve never shown up on stream once, he’s just hinted at the fact you’re together. it keeps some fans off his back but also keeps your relationship a but more away from the public eye.
“who am i making this avatar look like? just someone.”
he feels bad for not being able to be with you while he streams and you’re just laying on your bed a waiting for him or on his gaming couch which is out of the camera’s view. he does look over from time to time when it’s not noticeable on camera (it is, his chat is too nice to say anything about it in the moment but tease him later because they know you’re there)
so then he starts doing streams with his camera off sometimes. no one minds, they only ask if his hair is up or down to know if they missed anything (smh). during these streams he’ll pull you into his lap and let you stay there, head resting on his shoulder and you can either be on your phone or napping
as mentioned, he doesn’t yell so you don’t mind what he plays because he still has to do commentary. xiao actually appreciates when you’re this close to him because you’re also a “safety barrier” when he plays more suspenseful games. when there are jump scared you notice how he places a free hand on your back to push you closer to him.
one time he accidentally turned the camera on while he wanted to turn his mic off to talk to you and take a little break. he turned the mic off but people could see you and he was soft. like full on SOFT. no one could see your face since he was cupping it with his hands.
“are you comfortable, love?”
he doesn’t say much on a daily basis, including in his streams, but the tenderness his words hold directed at you is heartwarming. then he notices the chat going faster and faster.
MIC OFF CAMERA ON
OI ALATUS UR CAMERA IS ON
there’s no panic in his eyes, he simply closes them and sighs. leaning forward to turn off his camera and put his mic back on.
Childe blurts out as he watches you come down from your fit of laughter after having seen him almost flip over into the water fountain at the local outlet. His hand twitches in your firm grip, having never pulled away after you had saved him from the impromptu swim. He thinks he should pull away now with how much he feels his hands sweat from his slip-up, but he does a tentative tug and finds that you only hold his hand tighter.
“Oh, really?” You say to him instead, a smile on your face. “She knows who I am?”
Childe scoffs at this. Who in his family doesn’t know you by now? He remembers the first time you had driven by his house; his mother (and father, sisters, and brothers) rushing to the window to see who had come to pick him up for the movies, classes, lunch and asked him every time if the two of you were dating.
He says ‘no’ each time, but every time he wishes he could have said ‘yes.’
“Of course she knows who you are. I thought you’d focus on something… else…” Childe trails off, distracted by the way you brush your thumb over his hand tenderly. Your hands are very soft, he thinks, and wonders why he has never realized that before.
“Well,” you begin, and Childe snaps his gaze back up to you, willing his cheeks to stop turning red! as he tries to focus on your words and not on the feeling of your palm clasped against his. “What about you?”
“Huh?”
“Do you want us to be dating?” You ask, and you have always been straight-forward-- that’s one of the many things he likes about you-- but never like this. And he thinks he should have understood why, or at least understood when he sees the way you had taken a deep, stabilizing breath before confessing, “Because I want us to. Be dating, I mean.”
Childe feels your hand squeeze his, and he breathes out. “Oh.”
“Uh-huh,” you say, your smile trembling. “Is that… okay?”
Childe responds by squeezing your hand back, and for good measure, he takes your other hand as well and holds them as though he never wants to let go. “Definitely,” he finally says, and he can feel the heat coming off of his face and yours with how flustered you look. “Really good actually,” he says laughing, his eyes crinkling.
a/n: i was listening to venus by gustav holst and this was born! also sorry i keep changing my format i can't decide which i like best :(
zhongli
the ghost trapped in the old library you frequent. he watches as you pull long novels off the shelf, following the movement of your eyes across the pages. he takes an interest in you, lingering over your shoulder and attempting to read before you turn the page. he feels closer to you this way, closer to the life he used to have. he's careful, not allowing himself to get too close - though he does occasionally lean in close to peer at the words over your shoulder. he quite likes being near you, and the demure air that surrounds you. you're comfortable to zhongli, and long as he may to touch and hold you, he restrains himself, as not to interrupt the atmosphere you've so carefully created.
xiao
a quiet ghost that you've known since you were young. he lives in the attic, as not to disturb anyone, and silently watches over the home as you sleep. he's always had a soft spot for you, however. you always seem to know when he's there, and you stay up talking to him late into the night. xiao has come to love the sound of your voice, though he can never say anything back. he's come to love the you that nobody else knows, the you that cries, and dreams, and speaks to ghosts in the walls. he comes after you sleep, gently lifting the nightmares from your head, leaving sweet dreams in their place. and he watches, as you fall for others, and love others, and yearns - wishing that he'd been born in your lifetime, so he could finally tell you all he wished to say.
diluc
the ghost in an old abandoned mansion you frequently explore. you're drawn back again and again, whether it be to run your fingers against the faded wallpaper, or stare up at his dusty portrait in the ballroom. diluc watches from the shadows, following you through hallways that he once walked through as flesh and blood. he finds himself appreciative of your curiosity, and the care with which you treat his former home. he's no stranger to vandalism, and the way others take his memories and cover them with multicolored paint. you, on the other hand, are curious, and in turn, diluc can't help but feel curious about you. he often finds himself drawing ever closer to you, wanting to learn about you as you have him. he watches as you quietly speak to his portrait, and ignores the itch to call out in return. he's resigned himself to the shadows, where he quietly watches over you with a strange sort of fondness.
kazuha
the ghost that lives in the forest. he often kicked lost balls back to you when you were no more than a toddler, sending them mysteriously skidding back to your feet. he'd drawn you in to the trees, watching you return even as you grew. he listens to you as you speak, presumably to him, as if he were an old friend (which he supposes he might be). he longs to join the conversation, but for now he'll smile to himself as you relay to him a particularly winding story about your day. occasionally he'll reach out, brushing his hand against yours, as you laugh at the cold feeling. you guide him through the forest on long trails, pointing out cool trees or mushrooms that he's seen quite a few times before. he enjoys these walks, and the forest seems so bright and new whenever you enter it. he'll pull leaves off of trees that he knows will catch your eye, watching as they fall to forest floor at your feet. he wishes instead that he could reach out and hand it you, but for now, it will have to suffice. the look on your face is worth it, after all.
rosaria
the ghost of a nun that frequents a church graveyard. you caught a glimpse of her on your camera after exploring with friends, and you kept coming back since. she watches you as you read the headstones, and listens when you speak to her. she tends to keep her distance, but when she does come closer, she can't help but smile as you shiver at the cold that surrounds her. something about you doesn't put her on edge, maybe it's the simple curiosity or honesty with which you speak to her. but she even comes to enjoy your presence, and expect it. when it grows warm, she'll walk close to you to keep you cool, completely unafraid. she listens to your questions, wishing she could answer, and your secrets, soaking them up as they spill from your lips. she would never tell a soul - not that she could anyways.
Warnings: Idk it's just angsty & negative at first but it gets better near the end

Inspired By: TXT – 0X1 = LOVESONG (yes because many parts of the lyrics remind me of Xiao)
Summary: It's one of those days again, where the violent peaks in the adeptus' karma become too much to bear on his own. In his moment of despair, he finds himself calling out your name.
Note: Xiao's backstory broke my heart and it still didn't heal 💔. I know he's merely fictional, but he deserves the whole entire world and I wish I could end his suffering and make him happy 🤧
You didn't know why, you didn't know how. You were simply enjoying a cup of black tea in your favorite teahouse in Liyue Harbor when a hand of cold steel had taken a hold of your heart, and you knew something was wrong.
Without even so much as a fragment of hesitation, you left some mora on your table near the window and abandoned your barely-touched tea as you exited the place in a rush of restless concern. There wasn't much rational thinking going on in your mind, mostly because your thoughts were blank and it was merely your instincts that told you it wasn't right.
There was just one coherent word perpetually repeated in your slightly confused yet worried mind; Xiao.
Your feet had a will of their own as they brought you through the streets of the port city, it was as if your body knew exactly where to go and what to do while your mind didn't quite follow yet. All you had was a feeling, a seed of distress that had settled in your gut stubbornly and directed you to what was hopefully the right place. You were quite certain it had something to do with your beloved adeptus, and the more you grasped onto that thought, the more you started to realize what could possibly be wrong.
You had to hurry.
By now you were running, leaving the streets of Liyue Harbor behind and venturing into the wilderness surrounding the city. Maybe it was your imagination that was clouded with worry, but it was as if a magnetic force was pulling you into a certain direction and you could only hope it was correct. You would never forgive yourself if it wasn't, if your feeling guided you to the wrong place, if you wouldn't be able to find and help Xiao, if you –
No, you weren't going to be too late.
Your lungs were burning at this point, every inch of your body begging you to stop. Not yet, not yet, you pleaded to yourself. You were close, Xiao was near you and you could feel it in your entire being. It started to come together now that you found yourself in the vicinity of the old run-down shrine not too far from the harbor.
"Y/N," echoed over the plains weakly, and your heartbeat stilled for a moment as the voice reached your ears, familiar and – regretfully – evenly familiarly strained.
You ran, making a dire call on the last remnants of your stamina to push through in order to reach your deeply troubled lover. You had yet to understand why you always seemed to sense Xiao's suffering, but it had often brought you to him when he needed you the most and you were incredibly grateful for the, let's say, sixth sense you had.
"Xiao!" you called, ultimately spotting the male hunched over on the ground in the old shrine, barely able to sit up against the forgotten statue of a fallen adeptus. His jade spear was a few feet away from him, covered in dust and shards of stone.
Your heart wrenched in pain at the sight, and you wasted no time to approach him and crouch down on the rough soil right by his side, barely noticing the debris scraping your knees. His eyes were shut tightly as you took him in your arms, pulling his trembling form against your chest that would hopefully offer him some comfort, even if it was just a little.
"Y/N," he breathed, his fingers gripping onto the fabric of your shirt as if you were all he had, as if he was afraid that you would leave again, as if you were his only light left in the darkness that consumed him.
No words were needed for you to understand what he was going through, just one glance had you knowing all you needed to know. The yaksha was sweating profusely, surges of sharp pain and terror racking his body and a thick black fog crawling around you threateningly, like vultures waiting to devour their dying prey. The karma he was burdened with was a presence lurking perpetually, but on days where it became unbearable, it had him tearing at the seams.
"Xiao, I'm here," you whispered softly, running your hand over the tense muscles in his back soothingly. "You're not alone anymore, it's all good now."
You knew it wasn't, and so did he. His internal battles with his karmic debts were everlasting for as long as he lived, and his immortality rested on his shoulders heavily as a curse.
But your words also held some truth, something that wasn't just a hollow consolation to offer some empty comfort. He truly wasn't alone anymore, and even though you could do nothing to ease his heavy burden, you could offer him your warmth and love every time his world froze over once more.
"...'s too much," the adeptus growled, breathing heavily. He was hot and feverish, weak and exhausted. His eyes were dull and tired when he finally looked at you, damp hair sticking to the sheen of sweat on his forehead.
It wasn't a rare sight to see Xiao like this, but rather a sight you had to witness too often, and you knew you would never get used to it.
Everyone thought of the vigilant yaksha as cold and emotionless, indifferent and invincible, almost taking his guard over Liyue and its people for granted. Yet here he was, your arms that were around him all that kept him from fully breaking apart in his most vulnerable state.
"I know," you agreed quietly, because there was no use in telling him otherwise. These phases were torture in its rawest form, leaving him with a pain that couldn't be described with the words available in the human language.
"But remember one thing, Xiao," you continued, brushing some loose strands of hair away from his eyes tenderly. "You are stronger than the darkness, you are better than the darkness. The past is in the past, and the person you have become is a hero loved and appreciated by many. I know you don't believe in your own light, so please let me be your light to guide you through the shadows, okay?"
Words were just words, and you knew that all too well. You couldn't relieve Xiao from his misery, but you still had become his okay when nothing else was okay anymore. He had let you see through his strong facade so quickly, he loved you, needed you, and that alone was enough to grant you the power to save him in his darkest moments.
His life before you was a mess. Loneliness and sorrow were gnawing at him, the darkness around him weaving a web that seemed impossible to escape from. But he had found his guiding light, his motivation to endure the pain, his reason to fight the demons in his mind and come back even stronger than before.
It was all you.
"Y/N," he brought out, slowly letting go of your shirt and draping his arms over your shoulders. He looked at you earnestly, his hazy amber eyes still barely able to focus on you properly. Dried tears had left trails on his cheeks, and you softly reached out to wipe them off.
He slightly leaned into your touch, his gaze not leaving yours. His body shook when another wave of pain surged through his being, and he furrowed his brows.
"Y/N, say you love me," he begged hoarsely.
Oh, he knew you loved him, just like you knew he loved you. But hearing you speak those three words out loud never failed to ignite a spark of hope and warmth in his heart, and not even the strongest peaks in his karmic debt could take that away from him.
"Xiao," you started, properly cupping his cheeks this time. "I love you."
After that you brought him closer, and his crumbling world was whole again when your lips touched his. It was warm, it was safe, and the yaksha finally found it in him to relax. You felt it too, and relief washed over you as you smiled into the kiss.
You were glad you got to meet the yaksha, on that fateful night many months ago. You were his, he was yours, and together you could conquer the shadows.
(like a modern streamer au can be your game of choice but i feel like xiao would play fps games like valorant)

hi !!!! for now i'm doing fine hehe, but thank u luca for being so nice :>
request; xiao fluff, modern streamer au
cw; swearing, mentions of in-game weapons/shooting/killing
please reblog ! it helps a lot :)
xiao.
xiao's catlike amber eyes flicker back and forth from the open corners of the concealed area his character is hidden in to the spike, which is bound to explode anytime soon. "xiao, childe's headed your way, watch out! i'm protecting this sector," hu tao's loud voice booms through his headphones, and he grumbles, "that stupid ginger really can't just leave me alone, can he?" the chat in his stream goes wild to hear the normally calm streamer cursing, and his viewers eagerly spam messages about how excited they are to be impressed by his incredible aim once more.
childe, who's playing as phoenix, rounds the corner, only to be met with xiao, who's already raised his weapon to shoot. without losing a hint of his composure, xiao fires off a couple rounds, and the headshot icon appears in the corner, eliminating tartaglia from the final round. shaking his head, xiao can't stop the small proud smile that spreads across his face, "if tartaglia actually planned where he was going, he might have won." a second later, the word 'victory' is splayed across his screen in muted green tones as hu tao lets out a gleeful cheer, "haha, i killed zhongli! we win!" "good job, hu tao," xiao compliments her, running a hand through his teal streaked hair. the chat seems to be sending messages at the speed of light, all of them claiming they're taking as many screenshots as possible, and complaining about how they wished they were lucky enough to play competition with him.
"do you want to end the stream here?" xiao asks, tilting his head quizzically and looking at the other girl. "yupp, yanfei's already offline too, she said she has work so she won't be able to join us," hu tao pouts. "ah, then i guess we won't be able to play with a full team. so i might just mess around a bit more, practice my aim in death match mode," xiao states, "it's only around 2am anyways." with a wink, hu tao giggles, "xiao, don't you have someone waiting for you~? you should go to sleep too." through his webcam, xiao sends her the most terrifying death stare ever - it's what his fanbase says is strong enough to conquer demons.
"alright, alright, i'll stop teasing you," hu tao raises her hands in playful surrender. with a salute to her camera, she beams, "don't forget to subscribe if you liked the stream! if not, i might have to put you in a coffin~" laughing to herself, hu tao waves at xiao before disconnecting from the call, her webcam in the corner of the screen disappearing. xiao sighs, leaning back in his chair. blowing a few strands of hair out of his face, he says, "that was pretty fun. hope you guys enjoyed it, by the way." he scans over the chat comments, eyes widening as he realises most of them are asking about what hu tao said earlier. "someone waiting for me...? oh. just ignore hu tao, she tends to spout a lot of nonsense anyway," xiao says, although he's unable to look directly at the camera.
'shy xiao?!' the viewers freak out, everyone spamming about how cute he looks. pale pink dusts his cheeks as he prepares to return to the game, "thank you all. but stop it, okay, i've got to focus now." suddenly, a soft knock sounds on the door behind him, and xiao, who is usually as cool as a cucumber, nearly falls off his chair. the chat goes feral, begging people to clip that part, laughing at xiao's antics, and asking if he's alright. someone even sends a donation that reads 'for the hospital bills if ur injured'. xiao straightens up, pretending as if he isn't embarrassed, "thank you for the donation, but i doubt i'll need it. i'm fine. anyways, i have to see who this is, so i'm going to mute my mic and turn off my camera for a while. just wait a couple of minutes, alright?" the next move should have been xiao doing what he said he was going to, but he was so eager to open the door that he didn't click the correct icons properly, ending up with his mic unmuted and his camera left on while he answered. messages in the chat kept going, wondering if it was on purpose, and querying how they should let him know. however, xiao didn't notice, because as one of the most popular streamers on twitch, his chat was always moving at lightning speed.
"xiao~" your voice is drowsy as you shuffle into the room, his hoodie far too big on your figure. xiao swallows, his brain short-circuiting as he takes in how adorable you look, "y/n! are you okay?" "when are you coming to sleep? i miss you," you raise a hand to rub your sleepy eyes, the sleeves of the hoodie covering your fists. xiao's expression softens, the gentle smile he reserves for you and you alone curving his lips, "c'mere. do you wanna cuddle?" you nod once before yawning, prompting him to chuckle softly. ambling over to him, you clamber onto his lap, burying your head in his neck and exhaling a sigh of relief. "sorry for interrupting your stream," you murmur, already feeling slumber overtake you. "don't worry about it, dove. you're more important anyway," xiao states, trying not to blush about your close proximity to him. the two of you have been dating for over a year now, but your touch never fails to get his heart racing as quick as when he first met you. "i've got to continue streaming now, but i'll try to be quiet for you, mmkay?" your only reply is a muffled "okay, love you," as you doze off again in his embrace. with his heart threatening to explode from the tender affection, xiao presses a kiss on the top of your head, "love you too, y/n."
"okay guys, i'm back. hope the wait wasn't too long." he returns to his regular distant streamer façade, pausing when he realises his mic was unmuted. "oh, fuck," the swear escapes under his breath. praying to every deity he ever knew, xiao looks up at the ceiling, massaging his temples, "please tell me you guys did not see or hear that." unfortunately for him, the chat confesses the exact opposite, and they start sending a million questions, causing xiao to groan. sparing a glance to the chat, xiao admits, "this is my significant other, my partner, my other half, whatever you want to call it - we're together, and we've been dating for quite some time now. they don't wish to be known publicly, so please respect their wishes and don't try to find them online." xiao's fanbase was one of the most well-conducted fandoms in comparison to the rest, like childe's, whose chat was constantly filled with barking and bad pick-up lines, so he was hoping they'd behave this time as well. "uh, i'm not really sure what to say here... so i guess i'll just continue playing," he mutters.
for the next hour, xiao continues streaming valorant and interacting peaceably with his chat, albeit in low tones so that you won't stir. and a clip from this stream that goes viral and causes his fans to scream for weeks was of how when someone in the chat complimented you, xiao's grip around you tightened slightly with pride and possessiveness as he smiled, "i know. i'm lucky to be theirs."

Xiao flinched lightly when your head met his shoulder."Sleep then, will you? I'll assure your safety."
He stared in front or him, patiently waiting for you to drift into the dreamland, not daring to move nor speak until you're completely asleep. Xiao sighed quietly and rested his head against yours, his eyes closing. "Happy.. you're the one to make me feel happiness, [ Y/N ]."
"I never would have dreamt about having someone as precious as you.."
"Though I Am Far, Our Bond shall not be torn apart."
Kazuha X Reader
Genre: Fluff, angst if you squint
A/N: my writers block has gone down quite a bit so here is a lil’ something that came from it!
Every month Kazuha would come to visit Inazuma after traveling and he’d bring back all types of treasures. From a glaze lily that he had pressed because it reminded him of you, to an expensive kimono that matched with his so you two could wear them to Shōgatsu to celebrate yet another year of your relationship.
Yes, you cherish his gifts and keep and take care of each one, but the best gift he could give you is his time. Hell, you wish for it whenever he misses your birthday and you blow out the candles, wishing for him to visit you. He always did, every month Kazuha made sure. Whenever he would visit, you two would gaze at the scenery from the tallest mountain you could find and Kazuha would tell you stories about his adventures. Or you two would have a friendly spar to examine each other’s growth. Though one thing is for sure, Kazuha has never and will never take your love for granted. You allowed him to open his heart, bring out his chaotic and mischievous manner. When he comes back to Liyue after a long trip on the Crux, you and him sometimes accompany Hu Tao with her little pranks on others. It’s fun, after all, those moments are some of the moments you never want to forget. You two never want to separate, and it’s like you never will. Kazuha will send you letters when he’s called back to the Crux for some journey far, far away from Liyue or Inazuma. He’ll even tuck his signature pressed glaze lily or silk flower to let you know it’s him. It’s like there’s a string attached to the both of you, and it just constantly stretches no matter how far the two of you are apart.
Even when Kazuha is about to board the ship, leaving you again for only the archons know how long. You will be wearing a melancholy smile, and he’ll pull you in for a hug, burying his face in your hair, he’ll say, “Though I will be far, our bond shall not be torn apart.”.
Those words always reached you and always will. They were the most genuine sign of Kazuha’s undying love for you. As the Crux sails away, you wait to see that soft smile from him again.

𝐃𝐈𝐋𝐔𝐂 kisses you tenderly like he's handling yet another glass of wine. The embrace he has you in is enough to make you melt against his touch. Gentle, yet passionate, he always gets lost in the moment. The feeling of your lips against his makes cheeks warm, this intimate gesture was a feeling he'd never thought that was this addicting. When he pulls away, expect him to look like his breath was caught away. Red cheeks, messy hair. How endearing he looks.
"May I?"
𝐊𝐀𝐄𝐘𝐀 kisses you like you're the most delicious thing he'd ever tasted. An arm wrapped around your waist while the other is carefully wrapped on the side of your face, these are the rare moments that kaeya let's his inner soul to be loved. You'd be suprised on how nice the kiss feels. It's just the right amount of deepness, to him. Kaeya, knows exactly what things that get you like, sloppy kisses or fast ones. He uses his tall physique to tower over your small body..,
"You seem quite taken aback. Did I suprise you?"
𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐄 kisses you like he's been wanting to even though you already kissed a while ago. Childe never gets enough of your lips, he finds the startled look on your face when he captures your lips in his own simply thrilling. With both his hands resting on your hips, childe likes to get you in the moment with fast and sloppy kisses. He doesn't necessarily care for audience but there's just something about getting caught making out in one of those alleys.
"I'm sorry, your lips simply looked too irresistible"
𝐙𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐋𝐈 kisses you like you're a fragile doll that even the slightest touch may break your skin. Old traditions have practically imprinted zhongli's mind, he's a complete gentleman. Asking for your permission for a simple embrace, including kisses. He likes the feeling of your body pressed firmly against his. With his height, he sometimes has to lean down so he can capture your lips better. With his thumb rubbing soothing circles om your palm, and the other gently cupping your chin. Zhongli cherishes these intimate moments.
"My dear, you are something else.."
𝐗𝐈𝐀𝐎 kisses you like he doesn't know to. Frankly, he actually doesn't. However he does have to admit that he first thought that the way mortals spoke so highly of a small interaction like 'kissing' a waste of time. The first time you both kissed though, xiao found himself sitting on top of wangshu inn looking at the starry veil that covered the sky with a finger over his lips. He felt literal tingles cover his body in a way it hadn't before. Xiao is stiff but he will get the hang of kissing after a few times, he could've been a fast learner if he wasn't so nervous. (Yes, you noticed.)
"Is this the sensation mortals talked about..? Hmph... How foolish"
𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈 kisses you like he knows there'll be moments like this again and he couldn't wait for it. Venti likes the feeling of your arm wrapped around his neck while his embraced your waist tightly. He likes to tease you by lighty pecking your lips then pulling away with a wink that makes your heart race, sometimes. He would pull you off your feet and spin you around. You still don't know how he does this though. Probably because of the fact that he makes you lighter with anemo.
"Say.. You seem quite enthralled! Is it because of me?"
𝐀𝐋𝐁𝐄𝐃𝐎 kisses you like it's everything he'd ever needed. Relationships are a hassle according to albedo. But when you get together he finally sees why every couple does everything they can to keep themselves together, he will drop everything and approach you if you asked for a kiss. Don't worry, he isn't desperate. Just curious as to why he feels so warm and loved in your embrace. Albedo likes to take things slow, processing the tingles he feels each second.
"That was a new experience, do you mind if we do it again?"
𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐎𝐔𝐂𝐇𝐄 kisses you like he doesn't want to. That's actually an act of some sorts to look superior and all. The roll of his eyes and the strings of insults and denial that spill from his mouth makes it seem like he doesn't want to kiss you, you also laughed at the way he stiffened up when you actually pressed your lips against his. You've got to say. The red blush coating is cheeks in either embarrassment or anger was very cute. Scaramouche likes to take things fast. Rough and fast kisses are just in his nature so expect them when he's in a particularly good mood to pull you into a heated kiss.
"You want a kiss? no." (His last words before he actually kissed you later on)
𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐈𝐅 kisses you like it's something he wanted to do but just hasn't gathered the courage to do so. He's a mysterious man, wanting to keep hos thoughts to himself rather than speaking. However when he's with you, his quiet demeanor was quickly reduced to a fool completely in love with you, dansleif kisses you while leaning down seeing as he's quite tall. He doesn't know why but the sight of you trying to reach him on your tippy toes elitists a soft and gentle smile out of him.
"If you let me. May I?"
𝐊𝐀𝐙𝐔𝐇𝐀 kissss you like he's overcome with love. Perhaps it's the way he'd steal fleeting glances at your form so carelessly that even the crew had noticed. Even so, he's a carefree soul looking for the true peace of his heart. When he notices his heart rate speed up along the way his face blooms in a soft shade of barely traceable red. He concludes that you are his eternal peace and happiness. When Kazuha first kisses you. It's like he's been waiting for this since forever. If it was you then he will wait forever.
"Can I kiss you again.?
𝐋𝐔𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐄 kisses you like she's never done it before. Its actually true, she'd never gone this far. In a relationship atleast. To you, it's kinda amusing to see the headstrong and confident lumine reduced to a shy and flustered mess. She isn't sure on what to do so she just follows your lead. This is your downfall, cause she will get used to this and not be flustered anymore. The tables turn, she will sometimes suprise you with a kiss then walk away.
"H-huh.. Did you just.."
this is my advanced thank you for 300 followers (even though we are 20 short) thank you all!
The skies had been cast over with rolling clouds of dark grey. Where the sun and moon used to glow so reverently, there now only fell a heavy rain in their wake.
It was fortunate for the land, your father had commented after a few days of downpour. The rain season was hardly this generous in recent years, and with the nation currently closed off there was an uneven flow of imports due to adjustment. More paperwork, longer shipment times. The people would have to endure less patron flow as the rain kept most indoors, but harvests and plenty of crystal clear lakes would be a sight to behold in the coming months.
This is good, you convinced yourself. Perhaps the dry storm seasons won’t be as many.
The streets outside slowly became less and less active with the usual flow of people. You stand against the door frame of your family’s restaurant, watching the never-ending sea of grey clouds above. The rain is cold against your skin as you stick out a hand curiously. It feels refreshing, pleasant.
“We’re closing up a little early today since the rain is starting back up again. Bring in the sign that’s outside. It would be a shame if it got blown away by tonight’s storm,” your father said as he wiped down the counters and put away clean bowls.
With a nod you happily went outside, umbrella in hand. The rain pattered quietly and rolled off the sides of its protective roof, surrounding you with a soothing atmosphere. The day had dwindled to a lethargic close, and with a languid fondness you watched the last few shopkeepers huddle back into their shops and homes.
The streets emptied out within minutes leaving muddy streets behind. The smell of wet earth hung in the air nostalgically.
Maybe it was fate, that double-take you took. With one last gaze out across the rainy-soaked street, you noticed them. The figure was so still—statuesque— that you wouldn’t have noticed them through the rainy mist if it hadn’t been for the bright crimson of their clothing that stood out.
Had they nowhere to go? Or were they someone who enjoyed standing in the rain? Better yet… How long had they been standing there in the pouring rain?
The question made your heart sink just thinking about it.
From within the building, your father’s voice called out with amusement. “Y/n, come in quick or you’ll get soaked. I don’t want you getting chilled and falling ill because you wanted to watch the rain.”
There was a squeeze of your chest when you turned back to the rain—a pang of guilt that gripped onto your mind. Rain fell relentlessly hard as it picked up, and it filled your mind with concern for that stranger in the rain.
Your body only partially turned toward the door, a quick hesitation stopping you in your tracks as you took one last look over your shoulder. That person… would probably get sick at this rate. Something in the way they stood rigidly against the elements held no joy for the downpour. No childlike amusement like the one you held for rainy days.
“I’ll be right in,” you reassure. “I forgot I left something outside.”
Peering your head quickly through the door frame, you see your father wave you off with a patient smile.
“Be quick.”
With a nod, you wait until you see him disappear up the stairs to the second floor to turn in for the night. You are quick on your feet making your way down the street of shops and houses. The patter of your boots on the rapidly-forming puddles pushed your aching legs forward, umbrella tightly gripped in hand.
The stranger was still unmoving as you approached, steps sounding out with the splash of water with each step. You were sure he heard you, yet he did not turn to meet you as you drew near.
“You’ll get sick if you stay out here in the rain, stranger,” you lightheartedly commented as you stopped next to him, holding your umbrella over him just enough to still partially shield you from the rain.
His eyes remained on the grey sky above, only now torn away slowly from the trance. There was a sorrowful haze that gripped those misty, crimson eyes.
“Do you think the rain is beautiful?” he asked.
This sudden question took you by surprise. The way he looked out at the sea of clouds held anything but sympathy for the grey skies that rained mercilessly.
You blinked, not knowing how to respond to this mysterious stranger. Unexpectedly, though, you felt at ease in his presence.
“I think the feeling of it is beautiful,” you responded, looking at the sky with him.
He hums at this answer, seemingly contemplating it. The answer comes from someone who spends their life indoors, and he understands it. Somehow, these small differences in experiences from person to person brings a little comfort to him. To know that not everyone’s simplicities of life are plagued by grief soothes his soul.
Brief silence overtakes you both as you stand in the downpour.
“Do you not like the rain?” you quietly ask after a while. There’s a worried crease in your brows as you look at him, and he cannot help but feel like he gravitates toward your warmth.
Only the harsh patter of the rain on your umbrella and flooding of the streets fills the silence for a beat as he remains in his thoughts.
“It’s been a while since I heard that question directed at myself,” he chuckles. The small smile that graces his features doesn’t reach his eyes, but answers fondly all the same. “When I was younger, I loved the rain.”
There’s weight in the words as he speaks them. You choose not to pry into the emotional scars tied to his answer.
“Are you travelling?” you ask, changing the subject.
He gives you a smile, and you notice how his snow-white hair clings to his face from the rain. It leaves a pleasantly warm feeling in your chest—how gentle he looks.
“Something like that.” Though his answers are vague, you aren’t one to pry—not when his eyes hold a distant sorrow in them. “It’s best to head inside. You could get sick out in the rain.”
“Come indoors with me, then,” you offer simply. With a warm smile you add, “If you’d like.”
He blinks at you, watches as you hover the umbrella closer over him. The rain is soaking most of you by now, and your smile is radiant— innocent in it’s bright sincerity as you offer him a roof over his head.
It makes this kind gesture all the more difficult to refuse.
“Kazuha,” is all he responds with, a thankful smile softening the gloom that surrounds him as you both hurry back down the muddy street. You introduce yourself just as briefly and lighthearted.
With a motion to the bar counter, you tap your hand on its surface to offer him a seat while you close up the shop and disappear into the kitchen. Kazuha wordlessly takes a seat, the warmth of the restaurant enveloping him pleasantly. His hands grip the towel that now rests around his shoulders a little tighter.
Within minutes, there’s a steaming bowl of noodles placed in front of him. “You’re too kind. I couldn’t possibly—“
You wave him off, plopping down on the seat next to him. “If the food is available, why not share a meal?” you interject simply, settling down next to him to begin eating your own noodle dish. “It’s hard to cook small portions when you’re only ever used to making large amounts for hungry customers. So, please, help yourself.”
“Thank you.” And Kazuha means it. “I’ll take my leave once I’ve finished.”
The look you give him is a little incredulous.
“In this rain? It’s an awfully harsh storm we’re expecting tonight.” You set down your chopsticks, looking at him fully with wide, concerned eyes. “You’re free to stay in the guest room until the storm passes. I would feel terribly guilty to leave you out in the rain.”
It’s silent, and you’ve both left your food untouched as Kazuha becomes a little tense. There’s something weighing on his mind with how he avoids your gaze, hands anxiously clenching and unclenching in his lap.
He reaches into his pocket, clutching something in his palm shielded from your view.
Now you’re curious.
His voice lowers, soft and cautious. “I don’t want to put you in danger with my presence.”
The smooth metal of the vision’s frame clangs quietly as Kazuha places it on the table, sliding it towards you.
“I’m a wanted man.”
There’s no response from you for a brief moment. Visions are rare to see nowadays, and even more dangerous to have. Your fingertips smooth over its surface momentarily, eyes sparkling with intrigue and wonder.
“The vision… Why is it missing?” you wonder silently.
Kazuha looks down. “That’s—“
“You don’t have to explain anything. This doesn’t make you a bad person,” you quickly defend. It takes him aback, caught off by the sudden emotion that makes your eyes twinkle. “Stay.”
“It would put you in da—“
“I don’t care. Your life is important. I’ll help you.” There’s a fire in your eyes as you hold his gaze, face serious. Your expression softens as you place the blank vision back in his palm with a reassuring gentleness. “I won’t lose another person to them.”
There are details that both of you do not know, information left out of each other’s backgrounds and circumstances. But one thing reigned true—there was goodness in his heart, and in yours, too. Perhaps this is what convinced him to accept your generosity.
He’s smiling, gentle upon his expression as he picks up his chopsticks once more.
“You aren’t the first to put your life on the line for me,” he adds quietly. The atmosphere has relaxed once more as you both continue eating through idle conversation in the dim restaurant lighting.
You hum, mouth full of food. “And I’m sure I won’t be the last. But,” you bite your thumb, pondering. “I’m sure you’ve been running for a while.”
With a quiet sigh, he answers, “Longer than I thought I would last, if I’m being honest.”
There’s a glint in your eye, and you’re deep in your own onslaught of thoughts. There’s an underlying anxiousness that falls upon your shoulders. Kazuha wishes he could read you better.
For the remainder of the quick meal, you hold your tongue but he can see the gears turning in your head. The bowls are emptied, hunger satisfied, and you show him to the guest room through hushed voices.
“Kazuha,” you call quietly before leaving the room you prepared for him. Your voice lowers further, barely above a whisper and you make it a point to sidle closer to him. “If you had the chance to escape Inazuma… would you?”
His eyes go a little wide for a moment. “You couldn’t mean…”
“I have a plan.”
And in that moment, he gazes at you with reverence and trust. His heart would be safe in the palm of your hand. You wait for his approval to continue with the idea. The smile he flashes you is contagious, and you are a beacon of hope in this tumultuous uncertainty.
He sits on the sleeping mat you've prepared, patting the spot next to him where he plopped down. “Let's hear it, then.”
In the late hours of the night, two hushed voices debate their best chance of escape.
“I have a close acquaintance, captain of her own fleet from Liyue.”

CHILDE:
Childe’s entire family loves you. His mom, dad, older sibs, sister Tonia, and little bros Anthon and Teucer, specifically. You’re always a wonderful addition to their family. They bring you everywhere! Ski trips, Disneyland, Fishing Trips, even to his distant Uncle Dimitri’s wedding where each and every one of his relatives thought you were his significant other? Yes. Absolutely. Still a fun wedding though.
Not only were you instantly best friends ever since the two of you made eye contact on each other’s front porch, but you’re both each others plus one to every event. The same goes for you! Childe comes over for Christmas eve, and your entire family loves him just as much as his. Your prying aunts think he’s handsome, stubborn uncles bombard him with questions about his personal life, and your loving grandparents hand him a personalized knitted sweater that matches with the rest of your clan. Literally everyone in both of your families are waiting for the both of you to announce your love. All that was left was for Childe to finally muster up the courage to confess his feelings, whilst you were waiting to do the same. As wonderfully said by both of your parents, “Just… get together already!”
DILUC:
Diluc is a sheltered kid. He’s mostly at home as living in a lavish suburban area, there was nothing much to do. It was always you who went over to Diluc and never the other way around. Not that it was a problem though, because his father himself went up to your parents and had asked if you could bring Little Diluc out of his shell. Slowly but surely, you were able to! Playing Hide and Seek with him (hiding from the maids), playing house (where the both of you pinky promised to get married in the future 🥺) drinking tea with him, and playing pranks on his dad, Mr. Crepus whenever he isn’t too stressed with work.
When the two of you grew up and got your driver’s license, you went wildin. Pulling up to the convenience store on Diluc’s sports car to go on midnight snack runs, go around the hills overlooking the city and vibing to Japanese city pop music from your playlist. It was the comfort that the two of you gave each other that made everything feel so right. He was never good at expressing his feelings, so every time he feels at peace and comfort with you, he gingerly grabs your hand and squeezes your hand three times. To assure that he’ll be with you always. You never fail to return this sweet little gesture, a sign that you’ll be there for him. Forever and always.
KAEYA:
Kaeya is the handsome guy next door who’s always over at your house 24/7. Your family welcomes him warmly. Sometimes, they even get a bit sad whenever Kaeya’s not visiting. He has wicked charms that no one can resist after all. He acts like a love interest from a Disney Channel/Nickelodeon sitcom who’s always at the Main Character’s crib for some reason. He always has something up his sleeve. May it be a funny harmless prank, a new hobby to try out, or even attempting to make a lame cheesy joke. Kaeya makes your mundane and uneventful life, so entertaining.
There is never a dull moment with him. Playing video games, (he is an absolute pro at Just Dance and Mario Kart by the way), biking around the Cult De Sac with him, Movie nights, and visiting the kind old lady who lives in front of both of your houses are just some of the blissful activities you would do with him. When the two of you weren’t with each other, (grounded or stuck doing homework in your) Kaeya would communicate with you through string telephone cans. He would always jokingly bother you and ask how you were. Despite the fact that the two of you talk every day. Even after the two of you grew up, things stayed the same. Well, old habits die hard. Kaeya would still always come over to your house, albeit most of your activities had evolved as you had matured and grew older. Like playing horror games with him and movie nights had turned into study nights instead. The most important aspect that matured were your blossoming feelings for each other.
ZHONGLI:
Zhongli had always been a curious and smart kid. He was very knowledgeable of a lot of things at a very young age. However, even if he acted mature at a young age, he still had a wonderful childhood partially because of you. He always knew what to say. You would always ask him simple questions like why do fireflies emit light and why do dandelion petals fly away. He would always explain it in a very straightforward fashion and in a way that you could still understand.
He’s not afraid to take risks as seen when you go around the Riverbend with him and Camp out with him during the summer (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday were on your backyard whilst Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday were on his), the both of you would share a tent, turn off the fairy lights, a flashlight being your only source of brightness as the two of you tell each other stories or read stories from a picture book. Zhongli would always be the one to narrate from picture books though because you told him that he has an amazing voice. The years go by in a flash, and although the two of you stopped doing these cute little activities, didn’t stop the two of you from camping from time to time and telling each other stories. One day, he knocks on your door with a bouquet of the daffodils you were always so curious about, confessing to you everything he’s always wanted to say.
XIAO:
Xiao’s parents and yours have been best friends since childhood. So, it’s no surprise that you share a treehouse with him and that the both of you are the best of friends too. It has you and Xiao written all over it. Dark Green accents and designs for him whilst your side of the treehouse had your (favorite color) over it. You brought up board games, food, toys and other fun stuff. Your friends would always beg on their knees to hang out up there, but Xiao mostly refuses them to come up because this treehouse was exclusive to the both of you. It was your playhouse. Your second home.
Without knowing what it meant, you and Xiao had carved Xiao + (Y/N) on the treehouse walls along with a little heart. The both of you thought that it was a symbol of a friendship that will last forever. When the two of you grew up, you’ve spent less and less time as your lives got busier. To the point that the treehouse had to be refurbished and turned into a tool shed. (The carved heart remains there still.) But even if you had to say goodbye, you found a new thing to do with Xiao! Sneaking out of your houses and climbing up into each other’s roofs at 5 in the morning as you watch the sunrise. Eating a snack, playing lofi music, engaging in deep conversations with him and just sitting in comfortable silence. Xiao would then confess soon after, under the rise of the romantic sun.
Request: can we get goshiki, lev and yamaguchi with a reader who just got a tounge piercing 👉👈? i feel like they'd be very interested in piercings in general and think they're super cool. - @ashbadushy
Genre: Fluff!
A/N: This is my first writing since I came back so I’m a little rusty! Stick with me, I’ve also never had anything but my ears pierced so 😃
Goshiki:
• Most Definitely, 100% Tendou’s Idea
• You and Tendou were like two pea’s in a pod, and once you met Goshiki it was THREE
• Was a little upset you hid it from him
“Why aren’t you talking to me?”
• The poor boy was simply just wanting you to talk to him 💔
“Whatttt, I am!”
“Why is your tongue shining?”
• You and Tendou both automatically looked off
“I hate it when you two keep secrets from me! Please I want to know!”
• You stuck your tongue out while your boyfriend marveled at the little pearl ball on your tongue
“Did it hurt?”
“Yes”
• He frowned a little but inspected it some more
“Do you like it?”
• He looked a little confused by your question
“I think it’s so cool!”
• You knew he meant it too, and you also knew that if he didn’t, it would break your heart a little no matter how much you loved it
• Tendou nodded and smirked at Goshiki
“Okay lover boy, toodaloo me and bestie have some more Piercing shopping to do!”
• Goshiki swore up and down he was gonna get a matching tongue piercings
• Chickened out
“I swear he grabbed my tongue like it was a piece of meat!”
Lev:
• king of obliviousness
• Though he’s so nosey he didn’t notice your piercing no matter if it was during lunch, you sticking your tongue out at someone, or even just speaking to him
• At this point you assumed your boyfriend just knew?
“Woah what’s on your tongue?!”
• Everyone raised an eyebrow at him
• You slowly stuck your tongue out for him to see
“WOAH! Look at you!”
“I’ve had this for 3 months”
• His face dropped
“You never told me!?”
• *now everyone was just plain staring at him blankly*
• Though now that he knows he will always ask to see it
“Can I see it y/n!”
“Lev I’m eat-“
• Will forcefully push your cheeks together and watch your tongue stick out, thinks it’s the funniest thing to ever exist
• Things are good until-
“Y/n, If you don’t stop lev from getting a tongue piercing to surprise you, I’ll scream.”
“Actually Kenma I want to see what you sound like when you’re loud so go ahead, why can’t he get one?”
“I don’t want to see your giraffe boy walk around with his tongue out”
• As if planned your boyfriend walks in placing a pearl like candy on his tongue
“Sho y/n wa ya fink?”
• To be fair you knew he meant “so y/n what do you think?” - it’s not the first time he’s had muffled speaking to you
• You wouldn’t understand how many times he would try to speak to you with his face planted on the ground
• You smiled at him
“Nice but if you get a tongue piercing I won’t be able to kiss you-“
• His tongue was back in his mouth
“Fine I guess your right, there’s only room for one of us to have a tongue piercing”
• still is so sweet though, will 100% always brag that his girlfriend is so cool
“Yeah my girlfriend had a tongue piercing” 😃
“You told us, and I know her idiot”
• Kenma was tiring of hearing abt it
Yamaguchi:
• Your sweet sweet boyfriend KNEW how impulsive you were
• Especially with Tsukishima’s snarky smirk 😐
“Y/n is too much of a weakling to Pierce her tongue”
• And that’s how you ended up dragging Your boyfriend and his snarky best friend to a tattoo parlor
• your boyfriend was a nervous wreck while Tsukki stayed stoic as ever
• You silently approched yamaguchi and Tsukki after paying - and you three walked out
“I knew Y/n wouldn’t go through with it”
“Tsukki! She doesn’t have to if she doesn’t want to.”
• You stopped in your tracks and stared at Tsukki before sticking your tongue out at him
• Oh how you wish you could capture his expression
• Your boyfriend on the other hand
“That’s So Cool Y/n!!”
• Yamaguchi made sure you took care of yourself after you piercing
“Y/n you have to rinse your mouth after lunch so nothing happens to your tongue!”
“Y/n no spicy foods! Wait until your healed!”
• He hated not being able to kiss you for awhile but he stuck to the simple forehead kisses
• He thinks your tongue piercing is actually Cool and is his favorite impulse thing you’ve ever done
• Will always ask how you’re feeling about it because he knows your a little insecure about having it sometimes
“I think it looks nice - we should go buy some new piercing for it!”
• Definitely encourages you to get different piercing because he loves seeing you wear different stuff
“I have a weak stomach y/n don’t change your piercing in front of me!”
AKAASHI the type of partner that if you get nervous while ordering something it could be on a drive-thru, face to face, by phone, or just talking to someone, he would definitely do that for you. Sometimes he even already knows your order, but if you decide to change it, say it! He feels really happy when you tell him that you want to work on that, and he would gladly help you!
pairing: atsumu x f!reader
word count, genre: 1.7k words, angst.
warnings: none
summary: who holds on to a silly, childhood promise? apparently, atsumu does but he realizes there's more than one way to keep his end of the promise.
“You’re the only one I want to get married to!”
The little boy laughs, his hands ruffling the already messy hair of the little girl. “Is that right?”
She eagerly nods, her smile shining as bright as the sun. “Mommy always says when I grow up I should be with the one who makes me the happiest in the world.”
“I feel the happiest with you. So,” She pulls his right hand and hooks her small pinkie with his. “I want to be with you forever. It’s a promise.”
He looks at her with softness in his eyes, and though he knows that no one could tell what the future holds, he keeps his finger linked with hers.
“It’s a promise.”
A knock on the door pulls Atsumu from his dazed state. When he looks up, he catches his reflection in the mirror and his shoulders sag at his disheveled appearance.
He takes his time, or rather stretches what he had left before the big event. But whoever was standing outside was surely persistent.
Grumbling, he stomps towards the door and opens it. “Took you long enough,” Osamu shoves his twin to the side and makes his way to the couch. Atsumu clutches the knob and nearly slams the door close.
“What are you still doing here?” His brother’s munching on the M&Ms that were stacked on the coffee table. “Don’t tell me… you’re getting cold feet?”
He sighs before also settling on the couch. He perches his head on the backrest and looks up at the ceiling. “Seriously, Atsumu, are you okay?”
“I don’t know. Am I?” He’s teasing but even he couldn’t actually tell whether he was okay or not.
Osamu rolls his eyes and smacks his head. The older twin glares while cursing at him. “Don’t play right now. This is a big day.”
“Did you see her?”
Osamu hums affirmatively, throwing another chocolate in the air then trying to catch it with his mouth. “She looks amazing. Your jaw would drop if you saw her,” he says in between chewing.
Without missing another minute, Atsumu lets out a shout which shocks Osamu. He stands up, fixes his tie, and grabs his coat. His brother smirks, “Finally ready?”
He feels his coat pocket, searching for the piece of paper which he worked on all night. Once he’s made sure it was there, he smiles, “Yeah, let’s go.”
—
The live music combined with the chattering of the guests drown out Atsumu’s thoughts. Absentmindedly, he lifts his wine glass and swirls the drink in his hands.
He hears a familiar sound amidst the loud voices and he searches for the source. There was no doubt about it. No matter the setting, he could always distinguish your laughter.
He watches with a small smile as you happily converse with your relatives. By the looks of it, your aunt and uncle were expressing their congratulations and well-wishes. You were glowing and your eyes held a twinkle, just as they always did when you were on cloud nine.
Atsumu would know that, especially since you always looked at him like that.
His surroundings seem to quiet down when your attention falls on him. You send him a bright grin and in that moment, Atsumu remembers that promise the two of you made.
He finds himself calming down, sending you a warm smile of his own. And before he knew it, he’s up on his feet, clinking his glass and he waits until everyone’s attention was on him.
Confused, you make your way to the table and take your place beside him. You tug on his dress shirt and whisper, “What are you doing?”
Atsumu was not supposed to speak tonight. He already said no to you after days and weeks of begging him to do it. But here he was, the paper in his hand and he gives you an assuring look.
“This is my gift to you.” He straightens his posture and looks over the crowd. He downs the remainder of his wine and begins.
“I’d introduce myself but the people here are the ones that the bride and I grew up with and our shared friends so,” the audience erupts in laughter. “So I’ll just skip to the main part of my speech.”
Atsumu faces you. His undivided attention is now solely on you. He tries to blur out the people in the hall. Imagining it was only you and him in that moment.
“For as long as I could remember, this woman right here had always looked forward to this day. I remember,” he wants to say the promise, “that she’d always tell me stories of how she dreamed her wedding would be like.”
“So I can’t help but want to ask, was today everything you ever hoped for?” He asks.
“Yes,” he follows your movements as you look back and hold your husband’s hands. “It was everything and more.”
Atsumu admires the newlywed couple, but anyone who knows him well enough could see sadness and regret lingering in his eyes. Osamu doesn’t miss it.
“That’s all I needed to hear,” he mutters defeatedly. He turns back to the crowd, “You know, as her best friend, I was having my doubts if Suna could actually make her happy.”
The said man playfully throws a napkin at him, but Atsumu dodges it. “I’ve seen her heart get broken and played over for many years and I know Suna’s ways. He wasn’t my first choice for her.”
I should have been the one, he selfishly thinks.
“But Suna is a really genuine and great guy,” he throws his other best friend an approving nod. “And through the years that they’ve been together, I’ve heard nothing but good things about him. Since they got together, there’s never been a day where she cried to me or complained about being upset.”
“They say that the best love is the one that makes you a better person and what the connection that these two have is unsurpassable. There’s no other man that I’d entrust my best friend with than you, Suna.”
“And to my best friend,” he could feel his voice betraying him. But he chokes it up. “Remember when you said you want to marry the person who makes you the happiest in the world?”
For a second, Atsumu thinks you understood what he was implying but your smile does not falter. “Today is a dream come true for your seven year old self.”
He raises his glass and invites the audience to a toast, “To the happy couple!”
—
After his speech, Atsumu heads to the open balcony for fresh air. The cold air bites his skin and wakes him to his senses. Suddenly, he feels shame wash over him as he recounts what he just did.
He sits down on the bench, tousling his hair i and groans loudly. Osamu plops down beside him and offers a shot of tequila. “So that’s the reason you were so worked up earlier in our room.”
Atsumu snatches takes the drink and it burns down his throat. He shakes it off, “I don’t want to hear it. I’m just glad it’s over.”
“For what it’s worth, you did the right thing. I know your little stunt there made her happy,” Osamu assures him. “If you want to know, just ask her yourself.” He nods to the door when Atsumu looks at him questioningly.
Following his line of sight, Atsumu sees you walking toward them. “I’ll be inside.” Osamu stands up and gives you a hug before returning to the reception.
You take the empty space and Atsumu visibly stiffens. He wasn’t ready to face you yet, not after what he just did.
“You’ve always had a flare for surprises.” It was you who breaks the silence and Atsumu listens. “And I know I always acted irritated when you did something that wasn’t planned but that,” you bump your shoulders with his, “That was nice. I liked it.”
He chuckles, “I’m glad you did.”
“You’ve never failed to make me happy, Atsumu.” You rest your hand atop his and send him a meek smile. “And I hope you’ll still be there for me. I know this is selfish of me but I don’t want anything to change between us.”
He wants to say no. After this night, he wants to pack his bags and disappear for a year. He wants to erase his harbored feelings out of his system so he’ll stop feeling regret and longing whenever he sees you with Suna.
But if staying by your side is the only way he could fulfill his promise to make you happy, then as much as it might hurt him, he’d stay.
“Okay,” he turns his palm over and squeezes your hand. “Tell me the moment that Suna disappoints you or makes you cry, and I’ll beat him.”
The atmosphere changes as your laugh fills in the dead of the night. You should be inside, dancing and enjoying your wedding night but instead, you’re with Atsumu enjoying what precious moment you have left before married life takes over.
When the two of you begin to talk, it’s hard to stop since it seems you never run out of topics. But something crosses your mind and you can’t help but wonder out loud,
“Hey, I just realized something. You never really told me if you liked anyone.”
Atsumu chuckles nervously, “Well, you know I’m busy with volleyball, and I just don’t have the time for casual dating.”
You narrow your eyes at him, ready to accuse him of lying when he playfully shoves your face to look away from him. You swat his hands away and hit him. “But really, Atsumu, have you ever been in love? I’m just curious.”
“I have. Once.”
“Just once?”
Atsumu gives you a knowing smile, “Once is enough, I think. She’s left me with plenty of good memories.”
“You still love her, don't you?”
“I don’t think I’ll ever stop.” Atsumu stands up and you follow suit, the two of you walking back to the building. He opens the door for you, letting you inside first and almost like a whisper, he confesses,
“But you’re happy now and that’s all I could ever ask for.”

• not in a very bad way, but you two definitely had some different type of power
• You two treated all first years like your babies though
• When Daichi was being specifically a little scary it would lead to you yelling at him making him back down
“I didn’t mean to make Hinata more nervous!”
“You know how scary your face is Daichi!”
“Honey, he can’t control that!”
• You huffed and walked towards Hinata who was trembling and smacked his back making him yelp at look at you
“You got this Sho! Remember how badass you are!”
“Yeah!”
“Are you going to whoop the great kings butt?!”
“Yeah!!”
• You two were bouncing while Suga shook his head, he was definitely glad you were able to turn his nerves into excitement.
• Suga walked over to you with a smile placing a kiss on your forehead hugging you
“You’re a goddess I’m not sure what I’d do without you.”
“Make Hinata panic.”
✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿
• Post game tiredness hits like a train so when Hinata, Tanaka, and Noya all knocked out on their plates while you and Kiyoko served them food
• You saw Kageyama’s head getting heavier for him before you slid the messy place from under him and places some rice under making a soft ricey cushion for him
Suga: Uhhh y/n...
Y/n: I didn’t want his face to get too messy so rice was a nice little pillow and less messy
• Everyone raised their eyebrows at you while you shrugged and helped Kiyoko pick everything up
• Suga laughed and shrugged before you walked behind him and wrapped your arms around him
Y/n: They’re you and Daichi’s kids
Suga: They are not!
Daichi: :(
Y/n: Look! Now you made Daichi sad!
Both: Did not!
• You rolled your eyes at both the boys and took their plates placing a kiss on Suga’s forehead
✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿
• You’re not sure how you and Suga ended up taking care of Hinata when he got nervous but you did
• You sat outside of the boys bathroom while Suga tried to calm him down
Suga: it’s okay, no one expects you to win this alone.
• Standing up you noticed them walking out of the bathroom and Hinata looking down still a little shaken
Y/n: He’s right, plus you and Kageyama have both learned a lot since you two got here!
• Hinata nodded eagerly at you
Hinata: I’ll win and make you proud y/n senpai!
• With that he ran off while you laughed lightly, Suga looked at you and raised an eyebrow
Suga: Shorty better watch himself, I’m getting kind of jealous.
Y/n: Yeah right, and Daichi’s not dead
Suga: y/n you know he gets upset when we talk about it...
Kuroo:
• The week started with Kenma skipping practice a lot
• When you saw the setter walking around with a switch in his hands you automatically knew the reason why
• Now you and your boyfriend were standing with your hands on your hips, and tapping your foot, while Kuroo crossed his arms.
• The boy didn’t even look at you two
“Kenma, Honey, you haven’t been at practice?”
• He didn’t look up still
“Yeah, been busy.”
• You looked at your boyfriend who sighed and took the game away, while Kenma hissed at him
• DHWJCIWJF YOU CANT SAY HE DOESNT LOWKEY HISS IM CACKLING
• You narrowed your eyes at Kenma
“Have you eaten? Here. Eat my bento I packed.”
• The boy softly took the bento and began to eat before leaving some saying he’s full and returning it to you.
• You nodded, taking his small appetite into account, while tell your boyfriend to give him his game back
• He eyed you before holding it back
“Are you going to practice?”
“...Sure....”
“Kenma.”
“Yes!”
• You smacked your boyfriend who let a oof out and you handed Kenma his game back, as he smiled at you sweetly before walking away
“One of us has to be the bad cop y/n.”
“You’re a terrible bad cop most of the time?!”
• He threw his arm around you and continued to walk with you to class
✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿
• During practice you were helping Lev with his receives
“Okay Lev! One more ball and you can take a break!”
• He nodded and gave you a thumbs up
• You smiled and hit the ball across the net, and Lev received it - horribly...
“Uh oh...”
• You look to the side to see Kenma’s switch on the floor and his face slightly red from impact
• or anger
“Kenma I’m so sorry!”
• Kenma was about to explode on Lev but you rushed up to him
“Are you hurt? Are you okay? What hurts honey? Here’s your switch let’s go get you some ice-“
“How does it feel Kuroo? Y/n doesn’t treat you like that.”
“What? Yes she does!.... y/n! :(“
• You giggled while icing Kenma’s angry self to which Kuroo scolded Lev about his receives
“I’m fine y/n.”
• You sighed and patted his head before walking over to Lev who automatically hid behind Kuroo
“Lev I’m not here to scold you, just try to be more careful. Remember what Yaku taught you about receives don’t hit the ball-“
• As you went on scolding Lev, Kuroo smiled. Seeing you be so kind and patient with the boys made him so happy.
“Kuroo if you keep staring at me I’ll punch you.”
“What? I can’t look at my own girlfriend?”
“No.”
• No one knows who the real captain is sometimes ✨
Akaashi:
• You and Akaashi were both younger than Bokuto, yet somehow he was still the baby of the team
Y/n: Bokuto if you don’t sit down I’ll steal Akaashi away from your extra practice
Akaashi: Please...please don’t sit down
• He sat down 🤠
Bokuto: NOW YOU HAVE TO SET TO ME!!
• To say the least Akaashi dipped after practice was over and when he realized you had stayed behind-
“Bo it’s okay, I can set to you! I was one of the best setters when I played!”
• Bokutos eyes lit up while you realized you won and Akaashi had to stay behind
“One more y/n!”
“Got it!”
• This has been going on for what felt like hours, and all Akaashi wanted to do was go home and spend time with his girlfriend
“One mor-“
“No! Bokuto San you have to go home!”
• Bokuto pouted and threw his head back in sadness only for you to laugh and run over to Akaashi and throw your head on his chest
“I’m tired.”
“That makes sense, you played for... 2 hours? With Bokuto-San.”
• Yet leaving practice didn’t mean being free from bokuto
“I’ll leave on one condition!”
• Akaashi raised an eyebrow while you laughed at how much you knew your boyfriend wanted alone time
“You buy my lunch for a week”
“Bokuto-san, you eat like it’s your last time and only for use to be alone for a day?”
• Bokuto pondered for a little while until you started speaking
“Bo I always buy you lunch? You always forget your money.”
“I can’t starve! If I die without eating until I’m full I’ll end up dead and starving!”
✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿
• Okay, It’s not like you two could leave bokuto alone especially with Kuroo
“Y/n-Chan~”
“WHY IS BOKUTO TAPED TO THE WALL?!”
• Kuroo smiled at you sheepishly while Akaashi stared up at Bokuto who seemed pretty calm (surprisingly)
• Kuroo tortured Bo by slowly peeling off the tape making Bokuto yell
“Leave it to Kuroo to ruin Bokuto’s calmness”
• Kuroo laughed at your comment
“It’s what he gets for sabotaging his best friend’s alone time with his girlfriend”
“I DO NOT!”
“Leave him”
• Akaashi placed tape over Bokuto’s mouth while the owl like boy squirmed around with muffled yelling
 • Kuroo shrugged and smirked
“maybe I’ll become the new Ace!”
• You sighed at Bokuto’s raised ,idled screaming before you let him down and Bokuto fell to his knee’s
“I promise I’ll give you guys alone time! Please just let me keep being The Ace!”
“Bokuto-San no one is taking-“
“Deal!”
• Kuroo smirked at you cutting off your boyfriend while your boyfriend raised an eyebrow at Bokuto who was relieved
“YEAH! IN YOUR FACE BRO! TRY TAKING MY SPOT NOW!”
• Needless to say Bokuto gave you guys your space! For three days
