So, I had a thought and only tumblr will allow for such things but.. I pity the right wing, hear me out. The reason I pity them is that the people who mostly are, are uneducated, low income, and usually fighting to feed their families or themselves. Psychologically, being in a state where you are constantly in survival mode leaves no room for cognitive or critical thinking, therefore, easy to get them to submit based on tribal chanting such as "make [insert country here] great again". Am I being daft in pitying them? Because they have no education to be able to critically think or choose outside of what their amygdala commands. It been taken over. And you see this in cults. They strip you of all of your needs and give you scraps. From that you become dependent. And easy to manipulate. So I pity them, because they arent able to see what truly is. Now I will punch a nazi as much as the next person, however, to deprogram someone from a.cult, we must first understand.
Here's an example, the fifth element, Gary Oldmans character has been seduced by the evil entity, and then he has a meeting with the priest. He's created all these nuances to help him get through his evil ways without answering to the consequences, then, he chockes on a cherry stone. None of these tools can help him. Tools born from evil. His misguided evil. And yet it is compassion from the priest that saves him.
What I get from this is, the right rely on the billionaires to save them, they fight hard for them because they believe those outside of themselves to be the enemy and therfore useless, when in actuality, our doctors are those from other countries who have seen diseases we have not seen. Our nurses are those who have seen and held us when no other would. So, racism, facism, misogyny, in that moment is null and it is based on a foundation of ignorance, lack of education and fear, and we should pity those who see nought but their own nose.
