All I know is what I’ve seen. Women bleeding to death in dirty rooms, up back alleys, women desperate to avoid the stigma of an unplanned baby. And there IS still stigma! I know that this is a question of conscience, and my conscience tells me that this bill should pass.
I AM NOT OK
Something has really struck me in these photos, maybe it’s just me over analysing things but;
In the first image and last image Sister J is looking up as if she’s praying. The first image comes at a time of uncertainty - Shelagh is leaving the order and although they know it’s the best thing for Shelagh. it still pains them both. In this scene it appears to me that Sister Julienne is praying for Shelagh - praying that she’ll live the life she’s called to. But she has to see Shelagh go through the pain before experiencing the joy. Though circumstances are very different, there’s still pain (literally) before the birth of her child, the joy. There’s also uncertainty surrounding the birth, as things with any birth can go wrong at any time. Again Sister Julienne is looking up as if she’s praying. Praying because seeing Shelagh in such pain is heartbreaking for her, but she still needs to comfort her. So while Shelagh takes comfort from Sister Julienne, Sister Julienne takes comfort from God.
The other two images on the other hand come at a time when Shelagh is frightened. In the image on the left Shelagh is frightened because of the uncertainty of the health of her Son and in the image on the right Shelagh is frightened because of the uncertainty surrounding the health of her unborn child. Sister Julienne’s body language in these instances is slightly different in the fact she’s leaning towards Shelagh. In these scenes she doesn’t need to take comfort from God - but instead impart her own faith and hope on Shelagh and a time when she’s struggling. In these scenes faith is needed for Shelagh’s children - and Sister Julienne seems to cope with that better than when faith is needed for her own daughter, as she sees Shelagh.Â
Can we please just take a moment to appreciate this song, even if you’re not a Paramore fan I feel as if you should listen to it, I cannot fathom this songs beauty into words. Never before have I listened to a song and had the instrumental reduce me to tears but somehow this song made me do just that. Keep listening until the end, this is where the powerful instrumental kicks in. It builds and builds, almost to a climax. Close your eyes and listen. But then it fades out. The music dies, you expect the song to have ended. Think of it in this way. The build up is thoughts going wild, everything is getting too much. You can’t take anymore. You end everything. Silence. Nothing left. Gone. You think it is all over. But then the music slowly fades back in, its not ended. It comes back from it’s depths, just like you can. You can fight your way back. If you just “Think of the Future” you will fight your way back. Never before has a few seconds of music told a greater story.
Thanks, finally someone took a moment to do an appreciation about this awesome song.

Happy Birthday to the wonderful Laura Main. Thank you for bringing to life a character that has taught us kindness and compassion. For giving us a character that has taught us to never give up hope and to stay true to your heart. And thank you Laura for just being your wonderful, ever optimistic self.

So I finally watched the Christmas special and I’m genuinely going to need at least 5 business days to recover. It was beautiful and the tonic 2020 needed.

Daydream
daydreams - if you could be anything or anyone, who would you be?
Is Gillian Anderson an appropriate answer?
Truth be told I just want to be a happier version of my current self, one who’s accepted her past and is healing in healthy ways. She’s in there somewhere 💫🥺
Thank you đź’ť
Just because you have anxiety and panic attacks doesn’t mean your life has to get any smaller. And…most importantly, it’s ok to talk about it.
