I love this feature, item quests to unlock slots. I think it’s actually my favourite portion of the lair update, because these sorts of gathering quests are exactly the sort of content I’ve hoped the site might add in the future.

If something like this is implemented for, e.g., story quests, or even as a piece of a resurrection of the Adventure Mode concept, that would be even better.

I’m envisioning daily quests, like in MMOs, where you do X task and/or turn in Y items. Many players have a surplus of many item types, anyway, and it’d provide another sense of use and direction for those items that otherwise just get hoardsold.

It would create another mode of engagement for the site, and if implemented in an adventure mode analogue/story quests, would be a big meaty chunk of new content for players. You could have questlines, that you can only progress through n stages (quests) of per day, and work through a long questline with a great reward (such as exclusive apparel bundles, genes, specialty items, etc) at the end, and smaller rewards throughout as you complete each quest.

Maybe it could be implemented in relation to the Bounty of the Elements, or other further lore: things like a daily quest to investigate magical anomalies. Players could choose to do quests in any given element, similar to gathering.

TL;DR: FR I love this quest implementation, please include it in more features!
