inscuciance:
Stella didn’t like the feeling of insecurity, so in many instances where she did feel it, she would disregard the feeling to the best of her ability. But when Beau quelled those insecurities, even if she didn’t want to show it, a smile bloomed on her face. She would never admit to feel insecure in their relationship, but it was hard not to when it felt too good to be true. “Then I want to go,” she told him, one hundred percent truthfully, as well. She kissed her fingers before pressing it to the spot on his arm where she hit him, as if he was in serious pain and that would fix it. “You’re never quiet,” she argued, shaking her head. “Well, let’s not let your sister see anything. I don’t want her to tattle to your parents.”
Stella gave a little laugh before saying, “Well, I would think you like it considering half of the clothes I wear are yours,” she reasoned. Stella thought his suggestion over. The smallest of pangs in her heart made itself known, only because if Isabella were still here, Stella knew she’d be stealing clothes from her to wear. But Izzie wasn’t here, so their neighbor would have to fill in–Not that Stella didn’t appreciate Cora, it was just hard knowing she was almost a substitute for the older sister Stella had lost. “I’ll snag a few of her dresses and send her a text when we’re already on our way there,” she planned, letting out a little laugh. Her arms wrapped around him, giving a squeeze before trying to pull him from the couch. “C’mon, let’s start packing now.”
Beau tried to hide the nerves that accompanied the idea of not only seeing his family again, but having Stella see his family too. He didn’t want to make a face that concerned Stella, so he tried to look down instead. Mocking offense, Beau rolled his eyes, insisting, “You’re never quiet either!” Beau laughed at her then shrugged, “What’s the worst that could happen? They send us home? They stop giving me money? Oh, wait...” He joked, because both he and his parents knew that sending him home was no punishment, but he tried to forget the blackmail his father was holding over him that could serve as an actual punishment. And that punishment would be way worse than normal punishment given out by parents.
“I do have a good fashion sense,” Beau joked, but only partially, as a good bit of his clothes he bought with his parents’ money was designer. Beau was still getting used to not being able to buy any expensive article on a whim, having spent a lot of his free time previously online shopping for things he didn’t need and sometimes didn’t even really want. “Oh, grab some condoms from her cabinet too while you’re over there so we don’t run out at my parents,” he said, completely serious. He gave her a pout as she tried to get him to move, “We don’t need to pack now. We have plenty of time.”
