Roxanne couldnāt help but chuckle as he tried to explain his relationship with his phone.Ā āDonāt worry,my father act the same way around his phone. We keep cheap replacements around when he breaks them.ā She said shaking her head.Ā āIs it on voice command? It really helps. My dad has actually made a friend of it in a way⦠even though he still canāt figure out facetime.ā She said laughing.Ā āAre you sure you donāt need any help? I am really good with a phone.ā
āYour father and I have the phone smashing in common. This is my third this monthā he shrugged, holding it up briefly.Ā āYeah, the voice command is on and this Siri lady keeps ignoring me. Fucking rude if you ask me...and Iām not even going to venture into Facetimeā he grinned his awkward smileĀ āI think Iāll be fine. Iāll just reply by text, I think the music in here might be throwing it off a bitā
āWell then your talking to the wrong bar tender.ā She said with a grin.Ā āItās a phone not a high tech fbi computer, itās not that hard.ā
āIām well aware, thanks for thatā he said, huffing a short laughĀ āLook, I donāt like tech and stuff. Most of it I only tolerate because we use it for the animalsā
What a party. What a crowd. Roxanne had somehow lost Stacey somewhere in the bouncing crowd and a bit over whelmed herself turned to the bar for just a minute of recuperation only to find a man screaming at his phone.Ā āHere. Let me help you.ā She said holding her hand out to offer assistance.Ā āAre you just looking to send a message?ā
Beauās minor rage disappeared when he looked up to see a girl offering some assistance.Ā āItās fine, this thing is really temperamental and it doesnāt help that iām not big on technology.ā he explained with an awkward shrugĀ āI usually just shout at it until it worksāĀ
Sheila placed the drink in front of the man and watched as he struggled with his phone.Ā āScream at it again, I donāt think it heard you the first time.ā
āIām going to need the sarcasm to take long walk Sheilaā he said with his dry humour.Ā āIām a vet not a tech guy. I hate these thingsāĀ
Beau had just arrived at the celebrations and ordered his first drink at the bar when his on-call work phone started ringingĀ āFuckā he hissed to himself and picked the phone from his pocket. Looking down at the screen illuminating his face in the dim lighting, Beau paid the bar tender and began forming a text message to send since he knew that he would be unable to hear anything over the music.Ā āWhy wonāt this stupid thing work. Send. Send message! Send message!ā he yelled at the small device.Ā
āOkay cool. I mean I donāt actually need anything but my dog likes to get into everything, wrapping paper, food, tape, bows, presents. So itās nice to know that if she gets into anything I have someone to call.ā
āSounds good. If thereās any problems just call the on call number and Iāll be able to help you. I canāt imagine there being any hassle with your dog but itās better to know that thereās somewhere you can call if something does go wrong.ā
Ā noelle listened to her head resident speak to the customer at the desk. it was nice to have the holidays off, but she would much rather spend it at the clinic than at her house, doing nothing. not having any family around when the holidays slowly came about, sucked. sure, she had friends, but she didnāt want to intrude on their plans. smiling politely at the lady as she watched her leave, before turning to beau.Ā āyou know i donāt mind helping you out for the holidays if you need someone.ā
As much as he had patience for the customers of the workplace, Beau felt sick of repeating himself when it came up to the holidays. He didnāt have family so it made sense for him to stay on and work while the others could go home to theirs.Ā āItās fine Noelle, Iām sure youāve got plenty of plans over the holidays. What kind of boss would I be if I didnāt give you the holidays off?ā
āBut Beau, I have never watched a cat before! what happens if he gets hurt and youāre in the shower and I canāt get ahold of you?ā Rydel held the rather large grey cat in her arms, letting him hang over which he seemed all the more pleased to do.Ā āOr what if itās very late and Bozo getās hungry and eats something he shouldnāt and then chokes. You will have to make sure you are around to save him! You have to promise me that you will be around whenever I call you.āĀ
āItās alright, chill out.ā he reassured herĀ āWait, I have a few questions and answers here. First of all, how long do you think I spend in the shower? Jeez. And thatās was speaker, google assistants and Siri are all for. I wonāt miss your call, Iāve got youā he nodded and reached out to bounce one of the cats paws with his finger, something that the animal seemed to be pretty happy aboutĀ āSecondly, Bozo is a cat...that has teeth....specifically to break things down before he swallows them. Just donāt leave small things laying around like earrings, rings, batteries, crayons or whatever the hell you keep around. Heās a smart cat, heāll go for food before anything else.ā Beau reasoned again in an attempt to reassure herĀ āAnd thirdly, if you call me needing my help with Bozo then Iāll come and help you. I promise. Now will you please, for the love of all that is holy, stop worrying. You do great.ā
āUm no, the vet wonāt be open on the holidays but Iāll be on call so if anything does happen then you can reach me that way. Iāve got to give the other staff the holidays off, Iām not going to force them to come in. But if you need things like vaccines and prescriptions I can get those for you before the office closes if you give me enough noticeā
There were few things in life that consistently made Elsie super happy. One of them happened to be her sweet Samoyed Olaf, whom she adopted a year ago when the vet clinic partnered with the shelter and offered free vaccines for any of the animals that were adopted that day. Feeling like she needed a companion of some sort if she was going to live alone, it was truly love at first sight when she laid eyes on the year old fluffball. Now, a year had passed, and Elsie was starting to grow concerned that maybe Olaf needed a companion, especially with her longer hours during the winter and summer holiday seasons. With that in mind, Elsie went out and instead of going to the shelter, she chose to sit down and consult with perhaps the one person in the entire world she would entrust her sweet Olaf to: Dr. Rhett at the clinic. Walking in the door like the regular she was, she made small talk with the receptionist, fiddling with Olafās leash and a small Christmas package.
After a moment, she was ushered into a room, where Olaf promptly decided to nuzzle his fluffly body into Elsieās petite lap. She turned around as the door opened to see none other than her favorite vet.Ā āDr. Rhett! Oh itās so good to see you. I appreciate you taking me for a consultation today, as Iām sure your quite busy.ā Elsie said, giggling as Olaf jumped off of her lap and practically leapt onto the good doctor, pawing at him and licking him like mad.
Beau had been in the office for the best part of two days. Heād been monitoring a dog after he had to preform surgery on the animals leg and his conscience refused to let him go anywhere other than sitting by the dogs side. It wasnāt until he was happy that the dog would make a full recovery. After that he spent the rest of his time taking extra bookings from patients since he wasnāt going anywhere anytime soon.
He didnāt have many patients left to see for the day and he noticed Olaf was the last of the day. Finishing up writing the prescription for the small tabby cat that had managed to eat a bumblebee, Beau reassured the old woman that her cat would be perfectly fine once itās puffed up right cheek would die down.Ā āIt was nice seeing you againā he smiled and held the door openĀ āand Charlie...stop eating bees please. Thatās your third bee over the last few monthsā he warned the cat - which resulted in a disinterested meow, which Beau knew heād be seeing the cat again soon with another bee sting. Shaking his head, he let the reception know to send in the last patient of the day.Ā āElsie, itās good to see you and itās no problem at all.ā he smiled to the woman before being playfully tackled by the dogĀ āAnd Olaf, how are you buddy?ā he asked, crouching down and scratching behind the dogs ears.Ā āSo what can I do for you both today?ā
thatās ( beau rhett ) walking down the street, the ( twenty six ) year old, who looks like ( adam driver ). here in apple peak, they work as a ( veterinarian & a environmental charity chairman ). some say he act(s) like ( tarzan ) from ( tarzan ), since he can be ( dedicated), but also a little bit ( fiery ). ā binky, 21, gmt, she/her.
So as mentioned about this is my guy beau and iām binky. please see below for some basic information on beau and Iāll update this as things move along with him.Ā
- beau was born to a freelance artist & documentary maker for a mother and a zoologist for a father. they had taught beau to see the beauty in life and all living things, showing him that he should take care of things and people that cross his path. he grew up in a very creative household. one that favoured life over material goods. he spent a lot of time travelling with his parents thanks to their jobs but this opened his eyes to the world.
- with this ideology in mind, beau grew up to become a veterinarian. he always loved being around animals when he was a kid and growing up so becoming a vet was ideal for him.
- shortly before beginning his studies, he received a call that his parents had been mauled to death by a leopard while out making a documentary in the african jungle - and just like that beau rhett became an orphan at sixteen years of age.Ā
- after this beau had lost his way in the world for some time, unable to figure out what his next step would be knowing that his parents would never take another. his studies wavered but he powered through to graduate and he owes that to one of his professors at the time.Ā
- beaus people skills are not the best, mainly why he became a vet and not a doctor. heās a free spirited guy and it can come across as a bit weird, but itās mainly his lack of having a filter that puts him off speaking to others. he grew up around animals while travelling with his parents so he never really gained the social constructs that most people possess.Ā
- he started up an environmental charity in honour of his late parents and the first place the funds went to was the african jungle - the same place his parents were killed. beau wants to help as many places he possibly can in the world and lends his expertise on the animal side of things.Ā
- beau often helps out the university with helping students train and offering side lectures.
- throws charity events under the charity names but never shows up and keeps himself anonymous from people knowing that the charity is his and why he started it up
- has got one hell of a temper if heās provoked enough. when he found out about his parents death, beau smashed up the entirety of their house.
- hermit person
- loves his job, its what keeps him going and keeps him focused
all in all...loves animals, meh about people, hates cheese.Ā
