what secrets do you hide that are so terrible?

many…  unspoken  dark  thoughts  swarm  him,  the  blood  of  his  family  spilt,   he’d  not  seen  it…  he’d  not  wanted  to.  but  the  money  that  followed?  it  stayed  with  him,  and  perhaps  now  his  hands  and  his  soul  were  stained  with  the  blood  of  his  little  niece,  his  nephew…  maria.       frankie  ,   that  was  the  one  that  would  sting  the  most.  he  felt  his  stomach  lurching  at  the  thought  of  him  rotting  in  the  ground,  maggots  using  him  as  their  supper.        in  the  end,     it  had  to  be  done.    for  billy  to  rise  in  status,  in  the  world.  to  become  something,  someone  must  die,   and  the  gods  chose  frank  castle.       then  he  thought  of  arthur…  he  tried  so  hard  to  wipe  him  from  his  memories  but  the  word  he  loved  to  use  followed  billy  to  adulthood…  it  sounded  better  coming  from  frank…  but  it  still  twisted  inside  him,  making  him  feel  rotten…  his  shoulder  ached  at  the  word. 

even  with  the  darkness  that  clouded  his  heart  he  still  managed  to  give  her  a  smile,    it  was  a  bit  mischievous,     maybe  too  playful.   his  eyes  widen  with  his  grin.   ❛  haaah….  i  bet  you’d  really  like  to  know,  huh?  ❜   he  says,  pointing  to  her.  ❛  i  am  secret  free  —  oh…  ❜   he  cants  his  head,  wearing  a  thoughtful  expression,   then  smiles  once  more  at  her  with  laughter  building  in  him.  ❛  ‘cept  that  one…  ❜

for  a  moment  he  sat  and  stared  at  her  ,    wondering  how  often  she  allowed  people  to  treat  her  with  disinterest  and  dismissively.  he  gave  a  light  shrug.    he  wouldn’t  stand  it,   it  read  as  disrespectful.   then  again…  it  was  an  easy  escape  from  a  conversation  she  didn’t  even  seem  all  too  interested  in.   smart.  ❛  if  you  ask  me,   i’d  say  he  was  drunk.  ❜  shaking  his  head,  he  smiled  at  her.   ❛  too  drunk  to  even  string  sentences  together.  ❜

eyeing  her,  curious.   ❛  but…  since  you  brought  it  up.   why?     it  happen  that  often?  ❜  he  looked  back  to  the  man  who  just  soiled  his  shoes  with  his  drink.   ❛  unless  you’d  rather  not  answer.  ❜   he  pressed  his  bottle  to  his  lips,   still  smiling  at  her.
