Sanaa recalled the day they met as if it had happened yesterday, but she had known it was a night she would never forget. Actually, each encounter she had with him prior to their marriage the brunette remembered all of it vividly. As they of that night, so many memories came to the forefront of her mind and it made the brunette smile as Thomas kissed her hand. For a moment, she found herself staring at him and when she spoke she lowered her voice as the words were only for him, “no, thank you for saving me.” Thomas would know what she meant - he had saved her in her so many ways. Sanaa snapped out of her trance when mummy spoke, and this time she was a bit embarrassed as she realized the woman was eying the couple with a fond smile.
Lily had known there was something between them since she first watched them interact, then learning they’d been involved before made a lot of sense.
Dinner continued with the three making small talk while they enjoyed their meals, it was quiet and relaxing until Weston woke up and began fussing. Although Sanaa wasn’t surprised, she learned her little boy hated being in his stroller.
Lily smiled, smiling at her grandson, “you two eat, he’ll sit on nanni’s lap.” Using the Hindu term Sanaa had taught her, and one she quite liked.
“Thank you, mummy. He’ll behave with you.” She smiled at the cooing baby as Lily placed him on her lap.
Through all the jokes and banter, Thomas felt his heart sing when Sanaa thanked him in return for saving her. He knew exactly what she meant, and without saying another word, he leaned in to press a kiss on her lips. “I love you, Sanaa Lexington. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you. Remember that.” If he could kill his own father for her, she should already know that she would always come first to him. He loved her more than he loved life itself, and his life would be incomplete without her.
Meanwhile, Lily was watching the two interact. Her heart felt full seeing that her son was happily married. Sanaa was good for Thomas and she could see that he was good for her too. Dinner went on and right as the waiter poured her another serving of water, Weston began to stir. She told the two to continue eating before grabbing the baby from Sanaa and rocking him. “Don’t thank me. It’s my pleasure, Sanaa… He’s getting so big.”
“And heavy too. Pretty soon, he’s going to dry out his mom’s milk.” Thomas stated with a chuckle.
