I like to start everything I do as though we are the oldest of friends, so here it goes. My name is Krysten. I won't sugarcoat anything for you, but only because I think you only deserve the rawest truth there is. I believe that people have stories, and I, well I am here to tell you my story as well as piece it together. So take a seat my dear as I dare you to pass mediocrity.

Sometimes crying is the holiest thing you can do. Sometimes it’s sleeping. Or cooking for a friend. Or sending a note in the mail. Or listening to someone share how bad their work day was or about how scary the future seems. 

Sometimes sitting in silence - really sitting in that excruciating emotional pain and muttering the words “I don’t understand” and “God, please help me” over and over - sometimes that’s the most intimate and raw and spiritual thing.

Sometimes what we think is the least “holy” is actually so close to the very heart of God.
