[[ WOW SORRY uh

…Well this was another person Lysandre wasn’t expecting to run into - at all. With a frown, he considered stopping in his steps and merely watching the boy walk past him, not bothering to address him, but he honestly didn’t see himself cowering in front of a child. He wasn’t afraid of the boy, but he was attempting to avoid confrontation… again.
Unfortunately, fate had other plans.
Litleo’s ball secured on his waist, Lysandre had decided to explore the territory a bit - which brought him to this point in the city. This exact spot which pitted him against one of the foils to his plans in the end.
"Hello, Calem," he rumbled, crossing his arms.
His silent plea to the gods of destiny had certainly been answered, except by halves, or rather, fourths—he hadn’t been liberated and the figure before him was no grunt—this was Team Flare’s own boss and Calem had, by sheer chance, gripped one arm he did not want to grip, honest. Now he was infested with Team Flare cooties.
Nonplussed. The word fit the current mood.
Such distaste held within couldn’t possibly be conceived by the face he reflected. Inside, Calem’s tongue formulated words enveloped in fire to hurl at the other, ready at a go if the man was still insane, but alas! He swallowed and they were gone. His face stood serene.
He had the gall to smile as he took three steps back. “Bonjour. Fancy crossing you here, of all places.”
"I don’t believe much has changed since our previous encounter, mm? How are things going with the… organization?”
Lack of poise wasn’t something allowed—every conversation followed a certain procedure, depending on the card on deck. In this game, everything would be dealt with concealed salt; sugar was its best mask. And yes, he still disliked this man despite his ruinous defeat. Many times a personal opinion would withstand.
The boy gripped his arm, but he thought nothing of it. He'd learned long ago from Sycamore some were more touch-oriented than he was. He could care less about connecting with others in such a manner.
Sighing, the man responded in a matter-of-fact tone, "You know as well as I what happened in Geosenge Town. The Ultimate Weapon was destroyed, and I... was crushed."
He wasn't sure if he had died, and that was what confused him the most. Clearly, if this boy was here, it wasn't a sort of afterlife or limbo...?
"Would you mind telling me what happened? After the collapse, of course."

A list was in order.
Inspect all surroundings.
Ask, about everything.
Locate water and food.
Find this… so called District Epsilon.
Always be on the lookout for familiar faces.
Wait.
For what?
Good Arceus, in this situation, Calem would be more than relieved to spot a Team Flare grunt stealing past the street, or any other evil organization seeking world domination—the outlook of destroying them with a single Pokemon on-hand seemed easier to attain than an escape route from this place, and escaping without roasting the big fish foremost was never the way he rolled.
His thoughts remained slightly distorted, but he kept his cool. Froakie was with him, and, he was not dubious about encountering fellow Kalos natives in these parts. To adapt in enemy’s territory was a godsend.
"C’mon, we’ll mull over this later, for now we ought to ask for directions." He placed his blue friend atop his shoulder and made his way down the crowded street in a steady pace, looking people in the eye, inspecting their clothes, brushing past them—noting that seldom did known Pokemon appear, sometimes strange creatures and… beings… clothed in eccentric attire. Finally, he edged his way behind somebody and reached for their arm, grabbing it lightly as to avoid imposing a threat, and waited for them to turn around.
...Well this was another person Lysandre wasn't expecting to run into - at all. With a frown, he considered stopping in his steps and merely watching the boy walk past him, not bothering to address him, but he honestly didn't see himself cowering in front of a child. He wasn't afraid of the boy, but he was attempting to avoid confrontation... again.
Unfortunately, fate had other plans.
Litleo's ball secured on his waist, Lysandre had decided to explore the territory a bit - which brought him to this point in the city. This exact spot which pitted him against one of the foils to his plans in the end.
"Hello, Calem," he rumbled, crossing his arms.
Lysandre just chuckled along with Sycamore’s attempts to switch to the bed, only to watch his friend cling to his pillow and breathe in. Narrowing his eyes, the Team Flare leader curiously watched the other man cuddle up in the bed. It was amusing.
He wondered if Sycamore wanted company, but then thought better than to ask. He wasn’t in any place to request such a thing (even though he meant it in a platonic sense).
Sighing, he pulled out some blankets and tossed one to Sycamore before turning to lay down on the couch himself.
The professor inhaled deeply again, taking in the familiar scent of his friend. It’s much stronger than he expected—though that makes sense, as he’s laying in the bed the other usually spent his nights. It’s very pleasant.
He would normally fall asleep quite easily. In the past, he would fall victim to the SandGengar’s Hypnosis attack as soon as his head hit the pillow. But now, his mind is running a drunken marathon and the room is spinning. He loves drinking, but always ends up hating being drunk. Speaking of regrets, now he’s dreading the morning after, when every sound and light claws at his senses.
All these and more flow through his mind as he tries to force himself asleep. Sycamore’s tossing and turning helps some, and eventually he drifts off to a deep slumber.
His mouth hangs open and drool pools out. It’s not an attractive sight.
Lysandre shook his head with a tiny smirk, curling up on the couch. It felt strange to be with his friend again, to act as if nothing had changed between them. The red-haired man knew everything changed, after all, and he couldn't exactly fix what he had done (not that he wanted to at this time). Team Flare went up in a blaze (sick pun intended), and Lysandre was sent here for some reason. Perhaps he had died in the cave-in, after all.
In the morning, he decided he'd ask Sycamore more about it. It was only fair, after all - plus, he was a little curious to see how his old friend took everything (along with his group of proteges).
For now, he chose to sleep, drifting away from his thoughts into the darkness.
“The professor is here? I haven’t ran into him yet.” So it was just her and two older guys - the professor and Lysandre. While she enjoyed the professor’s company, she did really miss her friends a lot. She needed to find people her own age.
“Do you know where he is? His apartment number and what sector he’s in, at least?”
… This was getting awkward. Her feelings towards Lysandre were complex. She knew they would never be friends. After what they’ve been through, she really couldn’t be friends with him, or see him as an ally. Of course, after he gave her the professor’s whereabouts, she would leave him alone - possibly for good unless they decide to cross paths again or if he speaks with her.
He pursed his lips, considering his options. He could refuse to tell her here, now, and risk... whatever Pokemon she was awarded defeating his lone one. If he did tell her, would there be any dire consequences?
Certainly not.
Lysandre crossed his arms and looked towards the girl. He couldn't even imagine her feelings right now - mostly because he saw his strive to make a beautiful world as righteous, and she clearly did not.
"The same Sector as me. I couldn't tell you the apartment." Sycamore had been drunk and mentioned living in the same Sector, but hadn't even said his specific residence.

"I really cannot tell you much," Lysandre murmured, shaking his head in disappointment. "I am new here, as well. I arrived a few days ago, and so far, I have only found my home and spoke with a few people. All of which were also relatively new to this city."
The man smirked at the image of the Gible and his Litleo eying each other, wanting to battle. He agreed, this was no time for a battle. But it was nice for his Pokemon to interact with others socially for once.
He shook his head. “This is nowhere like the cities in Kalos. I assume it’s the same case for Sinnoh?”
Shirona sighs with a bit of disbelief but holds her chin to her hand. Thinking to herself further into this situation. She looks down watching her Gible as it’s mouth opens wide to let out a gurtle sound. Closing its mouth in a snap, aiming to scare the litleo into either flinching or running. Finding the interaction in itself to be aspiring she smiled. Looking to the other as he spoke of her her home continent.
“Sinnoh…. Our biggest city had been Jublife. However, from what I was told the city only extended out so far. Nothing like this, with mysterious to behold in every corner." Shirona kept in mind of the others region. Kalos, a place she had been to a few times but only to Lumionise. To meet up with a few scientists, "Well, would you mind helping me then? I have yet to know which direction I should start. It’s almost as if I feel like a teen again. Out on an adventure but with no real set purpose… For the time being at least.”
Litleo didn't seem intimidated by the Gible's gurgling noise, and instead tilted his head and batted at the other Pokemon with his paws, letting out a playful growl. Such was the nature of Lysandre's team - fearless, even in such a setting (though he certainly didn't promote play for his partners).
"Ours is Luminose City," the man replied thoughtfully, crossing his arms. "It is quite large, but I believe this 'Hive City' is even larger."
And she proposed being pointed in the right direction; he nodded. "Yes, it does feel strange, being here with no given purpose or directions. In any case, I can escort you to your home, if you prefer."
"…Indeed, I am."
He frowns, glancing down at the younger girl with disdain written all over his face. This was the… child who defeated him so many times. How could he not be bitter?
“There’s not much I can really say to you, honestly.”
She shows no signs of backing down. When he glances at her with a disdain look, she only straightens her posture and stands tall against the man. He was pretty bitter. After all, she was only a rookie trainer when they first met. She technically still was.
But she can’t really hate him. As much as Serena wants to hate him, the only thing she really feels is… Pity. Pity that his ideals and view on life is so distorted, pity that he couldn’t realize his mistake before it was too late. She can’t tell if that was worse or not.
Maybe Lysandre was once a good person; he was friends with the professor after all. Maybe there was a time where he didn’t have twisted ideals. But he was gone now. She wants to leave, but her feet don’t allow her to move. She doesn’t want to awkwardly stand there so she uses this as an excuse to get information.
“Have you seen anyone else here? Anyone from Kalos?”
He had nothing to say to this child. What was done was done, and though Lysandre expressed his emotions - his regrets at having not succeeded in his plans - with Sycamore, he saw no reason to open up to the Trainer. They were not friends, nor anything close; they were merely two Trainers who could use Mega Evolution, and nothing more.
Did he owe her answers? No, not at all. He owed her nothing.
But he still opened his mouth all the same and murmured, "Just Professor Sycamore. I trust you've run into him?" Or perhaps not, given how she phrased the question.

"……..Well."
This certainly is a surprise. He wasn’t expecting to see her here, of all people.
“… You’re here too.”
Not even five minutes here, and the first person she sees is the man that basically tried to destroy all of humanity, to make a better and beautiful world. But he was technically… Well, you know. Kind of sort of crushed, right?
She had no idea what else to say to him.
"...Indeed, I am."
He frowns, glancing down at the younger girl with disdain written all over his face. This was the... child who defeated him so many times. How could he not be bitter?
Lysandre sighed, grabbing a mask for himself and Sycamore once he entered his Sector’s underground section. He shifted the man in his arms slightly to place the gas mask over his face, placing one over his own mouth shortly after. It was merely a precaution, and Lysandre was one to take all necessary precautions (especially before acting in a broad way).
Anyway, he made it to his home and tossed the masks aside, opening the door up and dragging Sycamore inside. He wasn’t sure if he had roommates (he hadn’t seen them yet), but no one appeared to be there.
He skipped the couch and laid Sycamore on his bed.
"Augustine, you’re in my bed. Please, take all the time you need to rest."
Deep down, he cared about his friend. More than anyone else, really. Sycamore was special.
Suddenly, Sycamore felt something unfamiliar being slipped over his face. His eyes open slowly, taking in the glass windows that allow him to see outside the mask. When he spots Lysandre placing his own mask on, the professor tsks. Muffled sounds emerge from the mask as he attempts to tease the other.
"Ah ah ah~! Secure your own oxygen mask before attending to others~!" is what he meant to say, but instead it came out as a series of drunken hrrmphs and hms. Regardless, he found it hilarious, so a few more muffled sounds emerge as he laughs at him own joke.
After a while, he feels the mask being pulled from his face. He glances around the apartment, taking in the sights of the place. When they pass the couch, he gets ready to comment, but then he feels himself being lowered down towards a soft bed.
"Wait, my friend…!" he says drowsily. "I can’t… take… your… …" His eyes close as he attempts to complete the thought. "Your… bed… mine is the cou…." but his words die off as he snuggles into a soft, warm pillow drenched in parfum d’Lysandre.
Lysandre just chuckled along with Sycamore's attempts to switch to the bed, only to watch his friend cling to his pillow and breathe in. Narrowing his eyes, the Team Flare leader curiously watched the other man cuddle up in the bed. It was amusing.

Sycamore had been offered membership to Team Flare on multiple occasions. Of course, at first it was merely a small group his friend was planning on putting together—like-minded individuals with a love for beauty. Nothing wrong with that. But the professor was, at that time, incredibly busy with his research, having just discovered Mega Evolution and desperately wanting more information. So he turned down the offer.
As the group grew and Lysandre became more passionate about his… unorthodox views, Augustine’s desire to join the fashionable team diminished to nearly zero. The only reason he would ever consider it is that his closest friend heads it—and that he would likely not have to spend the outrageous amount of money to buy the suit.
But again and again he refused, playing the decision off as no big deal. ‘I’m far too busy,’ he would say. ‘Perhaps when there’s a lull in scientific discoveries.’ ‘I can’t join now! I just recently send those children off for an adventure! I must be here in the lab in case they need me!’ ‘I just caught a Gible! I must train him to a Garchomp to discover if he can Mega Evolve!’ Meanwhile, in his head, he was constantly questioning his decision not to intervene in the man’s plans.
Oh wow. Tangent. Where was he? Oh yes! Bed time. Sycamore drops more of his weight on his friend, leaning a head on his shoulder.
"Mmm~ oui. Bed. Good idea!"
Lysandre sighed, grabbing a mask for himself and Sycamore once he entered his Sector's underground section. "No, it is understandable. My Pyroar has been transformed into a Litleo again, I’m afraid. I don’t understand why this is occurring in this particular city." He remembered, briefly, reading something about Team Rocket attempting de-evolution many years ago.
Holding up the PokeBall, he let out the tiny lion cub, hearing it cry out in greeting and plop to the ground.
"You see? He is small now."
So she was the Champion of Sinnoh. That would explain it, then; he’d seen her before. “I am Lysandre.” He hoped he wouldn’t need to expand further on that.
“Oh goodness! I’ve heard so much about these little buggas and read that they are quite the firey bunch!” Excited to have stumbled upon a new Pokemon unfamiliar to her she bends down so that she could get a good look. Her own gible starts squirming about and lets her faithful companion go. Watching as her dragon get into battle stance, “Now, now as much as I enjoy a good battle. This moment isn’t the time for that.”
Shirona lets her pokemon lock the other in a staring contest as she rises back to eye level with the other, “Lysandre is it?”
Having not recall that name to her memory she smiled to the other in a more cheery greeting, “Well then you wouldn’t mind telling me a bit more about this place? Is it really as they say, a city enwrapped by scientists and their little social experiment?”
"I really cannot tell you much," Lysandre murmured, shaking his head in disappointment. "I am new here, as well. I arrived a few days ago, and so far, I have only found my home and spoke with a few people. All of which were also relatively new to this city."

Lysandre glanced over and noticed a woman approaching him, a friendly smile on her face and a Gible in her arms. He blinked, surprised to see another with a Pokemon in this city. Perhaps he was incorrect in that there weren’t those sorts of creatures here?
He turned to her one she asked for help, raising an eyebrow. He probably didn’t look the friendliest appearance-wise, but he had no qualms about helping her. She did look familiar, as well; perhaps she was from another region?
"Yes, hello…" he murmured, lowering his gaze to the small creature she was cradling. "And hello to your Gible, as well. It looks quite happy." He loved it when a Trainer and their Pokemon were in sync; it was a beautiful relationship.
Although the other seemed to have a collective intimidating demeanor. Shirona knew better than to judge a book bye its cover, which had been further strengthened by his evident kindness. As he spoke to her with a low yet defined voice. She had no qualms with being overly cheery that she had managed to cross paths with someone who had been from her world.
“It’s a pleasure to meet someone well acquainted with the names and knowledge of what a Pokemon is. Though don’t mind her if shes a bit off, having been some how transformed into the baby that I once knew her to be." The champion quaintly pats her Gible upon the head, as it murmurs peacefully wiggling its feet within its trainers arms, "I apologize for not having introducing myself at first. I’m Shirona, Champion of Sinnoh. You might be?”

The tv flickered off at once with no sense of remorse for the captive that had just newly arrived. Shirona had been prompted to leave shortly afterwards. Told that her pokemon had been taken and that she would be living in a district called Alpha. The only pokemon she had been given had been her prized Garchomp. Who’d been somehow de-evolved into a gible.
“I guess this means you and I are starting from scratch once again, but we don’t have sinnoh to travel through this time…" Consequently, the pokemon who had been transformed to its most prime state. Had also seemed to retrieve its childlike personality as well. It brought back memories from when she was a child and they strove through forests as the best of giddy partners. Placing her head around the gible who promptly sat on her head like a hat, she pulls her off.
A small smile would be placed on her lips, for even in the darkest of moments she would hold herself well. Instead of panicking or fretting over what would happen to her in this situation she opts for breaking down the situation. Thinking quietly to herself as she cradles her Gible within her hand. For a moment she looks around, eyeing the cars chugging away and the people passing by her.
Shirona had a feeling she’d find a familiar face soon enough, and found it best to ask for help for the time being. Reaching out to the most intriguing character she could find she approaches them and asks, “You wouldn’t mind helping me would you?”
