Some days are so much harder than others

My head swims in memories of you  And I shed my tears like an undercoat—fine feathers stirring I'm caught in the undertow of dreams that only ever drown my livelihood. I'd carve your name on my lips if I thought it would make you hear my words, but nothing will ever carry the sound of my voice over the pounding waves. 

No one sees your tears when you're standing in the rain.

I DROWN

my head swims in memories of you. I shed my tears like an undercoat of fine feathers, where I’m caught in the undertow of dreams that only ever swallow my livelihood. I’d carve your name in my lips if it would make you hear my words, but nothing will ever carry the sound of my voice over  the clamor of your pounding waves. “Tidal Waves” are the only words written  on your title page. and I drown in them again and again every time I think of you.
