Actually. That’s a lot easier than going through and saving what I wanted to keep. Thinking more on it I’d more than likely completely regret deleting it later on.

I do plan on following people on my personal account. I do consider quite a few of you guys friends even if we never actually talked. So I’ve been thinking on this a lot and I’ve decided to delete this account.

As much as I keep saying I’ll try to be on more I just can’t bring myself to do it. I don’t remember the last time I even touched the game and I’m not sure if I’ll even continue it.

I’ve been in this fandom for so long it’s almost sad to leave it but there’s just no use in keeping this account if I’m just never going to play the game again.

Ill probably go through the tags here and there just to see what’s going on but otherwise I’m stepping away. I love you guys for putting up with me and I’ll really miss seeing a lot of you.

I’m giving myself a few days to go through and save anything I do wanna keep before completely deleting this blog.

Hopefully another Amber will come up and be able to keep more active than I’ve been (if there hasn’t been one already 😅)

PSA for teens:

the people in your rp group are most likely older than you are. make sure that it is an established thing that you know their ages, or at least whether or not theyre 18+, AND that you’re a minor.

you do not have to give away any personal information that you don’t want to. the people you rp with might start to give out their names, where they live, and other personal details as you all get to know each other. if you’re pressured to giving out any personal info, you might want to reconsider your trust in them.

if it’s something impersonal like omegle where you’ll probably never talk to the other person again, be wary. you don’t know if that other person is 16 or 30. at some point probably ask out of character about their age, or just straight up say you’re a minor and see if they’re cool with it.

you do not have to rp sex scenes. especially with older people, and no matter what your IRL experience. i was pressured into smut rp when i was 15, with a person who was at least 21. i’d never even had my first kiss before at that point. don’t do it.

it’s okay to say no to scene ideas. no matter what they are, if you don’t want to do them then you don’t have to.

make sure that the people you rp with censor or tag explicit content. if they don’t, or if they make fun of you when you ask, that’s probably a big red flag.

PSA for adults:

censor your shit. everything from gore/violence to smut– if it would put the rating of a movie up to at least a PG-13, tag it. 

if you don’t want to rp with kids, find a group that’s 18+. there’s a bunch out there.

if you DO rp with kids, remember that they are just teenagers. 17 year olds now were born in the year 2000. 16 year olds are still in high school. they don’t have the life experiences you do, and you need to take that into account.

do not make fun of people who don’t want to do a scene. don’t pressure people, and take care with how you prompt someone who’s a minor. 

don’t rp sex scenes with minors. like. yall

if you see another adult pressuring a minor into doing smth, or if they’re just interacting with a minor in any weird way, privately message them and remind them. i was doing a smut scene with someone my age, and another rp partner seven years older than me was lurking in our private chatroom to watch it. nobody else said anything. don’t let that shit be normal.

I’m from the States, but I live in South Korea, and let me just tell you, this is fucking awesome!

Do you know how bad issues of appearance are here? Getting plastic surgery is very much a common practice. Even though it’s common, people still deny getting it, because it’s better to be “natural.”

I’m a teacher, and I have parents putting their 5 year olds on diets because they’re too chubby. I have an 11 year old who thinks she needs to diet and exercise because she thinks she looks too fat. I once had to talk to a boy about eating because he wasn’t to maintain a thin image.

I can’t even buy any clothes here because all of my assets are too big, even my feet.

All of my kids ask if I’m pregnant, because it’s inconceivable that I could just be chubby.

Guys, the fact that she’s a plus size model is fucking amazing and I’m proud of her and hope South Korea can start to accept that they have tons of people in their country is is not stickly skinny.

So, this guy, Martin Pistorius, fell into a coma when he was 12 years old and eventually awoke completely paralyzed, at least physically. He was misdiagnosed. Doctors believed he was in a completely vegetative state, but in reality, he had regained full consciousness and awareness. He just didn’t possess any motor function, so he couldn’t communicate to anyone that he was alive in there. He lived this way for 12 years before he overcame it by sheer force of will and was given the tools to communicate. He tells his story in his book, Ghost Boy. Since then he’s also been the subject of the first episode of Invisibilia on NPR and had his own TedTalk.

Anyway, the breaking point that incited his plan of escape was being forced to watch Barney reruns all day, everyday at his care center. Sitting in front of the TV, he learned to tell the time by the shadows on the wall. If he had time he could know when Barney would end. With the ability to measure his days, he was able to pull himself out of the void and ultimately start down the path to recovery. Today, Martin can communicate whatever he wants with the help of a computer program, but there’s one thing he can’t articulate: “I cannot even express to you how much I hated Barney.”

So it turns out that the primal hatred people have toward Barney is strong enough to pull a disembodied consciousness out of the abyss of existential despair and into the physical world out of pure spite
