Been ridiculously busy lately so here is one from a few weeks ago when I did my “Send me your pictures and I’ll paint them all night long!” on @instagram stories. Thanks again to everyone who sent me photos, I had so much fun doing it and I’ll definitely do it again! I also got to know some of you more which I loved. ❤️ Come visit me over there! www.instagram.com/beccaberezuk_illustratio

Another before and after of a botanical plate in the Gravesia genus, (Melastomataceae) from Madagascar. Working on several species with a focus on the domatia across all specimens. Solely working from herbarium specimens so there was a lot of reconstructing, (which I love! Best job ever!).🌿🔬❤️
So happy to be home with my family in New York! Here’s a throwback from a few years ago- Birch Trees in Winter, 2011. Watercolor. Hope you are all enjoying the last few days of 2016!❄️
Hiii, what are those paints? On your last post?

You have my dream job! This is such an inspiration. Do you mind talking a little bit about the classes you took, how you got into the field, and anything else you think might be helpful. Thanks for sharing all of your beautiful illustrations :)
Hi there! Thank you for the kind words! I attended the scientific illustration graduate program at California State University, Monterey Bay. It’s an amazingly in depth program, and if you are interested in scientific illustration I recommend checking it out.-http://scienceillustration.org
As for classes as an undergrad, they were split 50/50 between a variety of sciences and fine arts classes.
If you are still interested in learning more about scientific illustration check out the GNSI website (https://gnsi.org) and of course feel free to ask me any more questions!

Your work is amazing!!!
