Being #authentic is important to me as a #photographer . This weekend, I had the #pleasure of spending a few hours with a dear friend of somewhere north of 20 years, @dacianfalx and his #family . This is my personal favorite from their shoot, and a big part of why is that this is #real . Sure, some of my fantasy #portraits use a lot of special effects - but the #people in them, their expressions, are #genuine . And that matters, because while I *can* pose and direct models - and some people need that - I much prefer to just talk to folks, to #connect ; to help foster those #moments that show the real people, and then #photograph that. To me, a real #smile that shows in the eyes, or #laugh , or mischievous grin, looks 10 times better than the most flattering and elaborate pose. When your job is to help people make #memories that will last, #authenticity matters. The #experience matters. And the #difference it makes really shows.
