🫧🌻WIP Titles Game, roommates au, pls!🌻🫧

(But just how many can I send you Becky, this was such a touch choice. 🫣)

I gave way too many (and have since realised I also forgot one 😅) but this is a fun choice! I actually started planning this one way back during lockdown when my sister's classmate had an unfortunate incident occur on zoom (they were entertaining and forgot to turn their microphone off) and from that moment, roommates au was born! 😂

The concept is that Anne and Gilbert are in quarantine together as they're roommates in college and they decide, to make life more lively when they can't go outside, they'll begin to practical joke each other until they reach a point of no return for their relationship. I imagine it to be cheeky and fun like a romcom with these random little chapter titles:

omg i got so excited when i saw the length of your WIP list!! the ones i'm the most curious about are The Literatist, Between the Pages of a Book, and Bookstore au. and i wonder if they're all connected. hope to read something written by you soon!! x

I have a lot, yes! Some are quite well developed and others are still shreds of a plan - these happen to be the three you have selected! But thank you for choosing them; one of these three I feel may be my favourite (if I ever get around to finishing it).

Here is a little info on each so your imagination can run wild:

The Literatist:

This is intending to be an explicit story with Anne enlisting Gilbert to aid her in an assignment on love and intimacy but they soon find a more practical approach is more inspiring. I imagine it to be very sensual, with a vintage 1960s library stacks feel.

Between the Pages of a Book:

This is a 5+1 I was exploring, with each section being a different romance trope (enemies to lovers, forced proximity etc). The concept was that a rival Anne and Gilbert work together and have a competition over sales in store. Mainly a fun little story in a gorgeous bookshop.

Bookstore au:

This will be my magnum opus. It will centre Gilbert as the main character, owner of a bookstore with a gift to heal souls. The only one he can't seem to heal is his own - and then comes Anne. I hope it'll be beautiful although it's still in the planning stage.

hi i don't mean to be annoying but when will you update The Love Letter 🥺 i miss it sm 😭

Gosh, I'm so sorry this has been sitting unanswered for so long!! Please don't think you're annoying. I'll let you in on a secret - people still loving The Love Letter makes me very happy indeed. I do too. It will forever be my favourite. In terms of an update, I'm not sure when that will be. To finish TLL is something I really wish I can do but it can be quite emotionally taxing to write and with what was happening irl too, I found it all a bit much.

I hope it'll be back but I couldn't give a definite answer to when. Sorry to be so vague but thank you from the very bottom of my soul for still thinking of it 🥰

Hi there!! So sorry for the Doing Time delay! Life got very busy and I took stage fright. Can't say when exactly (life is still a little too busy right now) but Doing Time will hopefully be back before Christmas.
