I can't get this thorn out
And how’s the thorn coming along, sweetheart?
Nothing I can't handle.

I can't get this thorn out
And how’s the thorn coming along, sweetheart?
Nothing I can't handle.
I can't get this thorn out
We’re a clever one, aren’t we?
I certainly like to think so.
I can't get this thorn out
Oooh, I stand corrected.
Do florists sell hemlock nowadays?
Make sure you don't forget.
Not selling it doesn't mean I couldn't own it.
Saturdays are the best days
Oh yeah! No school, no homework….the best days ever
And what do you do with your free days?
I can't get this thorn out
I never thought that working with flowers could be just a dangerous job.
People always underestimate flowers... some of them are poisonous, you know.
drabble
Humming to herself, Belinda leaned down to stare into a terracotta flowerpot, inspecting the herbs. "You look just about ready," She said, smiling slightly in approval as she reached out and carefully began to remove what she needed, dropping the ingredients into a bowl.
Doctor Hopper was the one that gave her the idea of growing her own herbs. She'd always kept plants, but she hadn't bothered beyond decorative before he told her that growing things to season her own food with might be a good idea. And it was, it tasted better than anything out of a store and gave her something else to baby at her house, the dark pots taking up every windowsill she had in the kitchen.
She kept humming as she ground up on the herbs, planning on using the shredded green leaves as a topping for her food. She hadn't planned on it, but she'd turned into quite a good cook after she'd got her hands on a cookbook from the library. So good, in fact, that her lasagna was her favorite meal and she made a pan full of it every week. It was probably just as good as Granny's, but she wasn't going to say that out loud.
Smiling in satisfaction as she finished her work, Belinda moved over to her place of still-warm food and picked up the minced herbs, sprinkling it lightly on top of melted cheese before setting the small herb bowl on her table and setting down. Arranging her skirts around herself, Belinda took a small moment to say a word of thanks in her head to anyone that might be listening before she grabbed for her fork to dig in.
Saturdays are the best days
It is nice to have the freedom to do as you please for the day.
I can't get this thorn out
And how does one get a thorn stuck in them?
I work with flowers, I wasn't careful enough.
I can't get this thorn out
It's really starting to be bothersome.
Yet another new week
Perhaps this one will bring something of interest.
So bored tonight
Maybe I'll talk a walk and stare at the stars from the park.
Suppose a quick dinner out wouldn't be so bad.
Sundown so soon.
No promises. I tend to just find the carnage the next day.
You almost make it sound like a miracle you haven't been arrested. Or perhaps I'm speaking to a former convict.
Sundown so soon.
See, that’s the great thing, I’m teflon and bulletproof armor rolled into one. Nothing can take me down.
I'll make note that you're a human tank. Try not to destroy anything, won't you?
