Bedroom bliss.
How does the colour of your room effect your emotions so deeply?
The bedroom for me is a sanctuary used to free my mind and relax my body. For others, it may be a place used to recconnect with a partner and make memories that last a lifetime.
Colours of the wall may be chossen for aesthetics, but the colour can reflect deeply on your underlying thoughts and feelings. Colour is a universal, nonverbal language, and using colour, one can escape the daily struggles of life.
When choosing a colour for the bedroom, find a colour that not only means something to you, but has a calming effect, such as a light purple that represents lavander (a colour known to many that relives stress). I choose pink. Pink for me isn’t nessasarily a relaxing colour, but reminds me of my childhood and the happy memories I made. The pink represents red for blood, a white for innocence and some orange for my enthusiasm to keep my warm and grounded.
I forgive the ones that once hurt me in my room, and I let my mind be at ease. Choosing a colour is not as easy as picking one that is popular or pretty, in order to feel a sense of “at home” choosing a colour could benefit or worsen your life.
This is so true!! When choosing the perfect colour to represent your bedroom, make sure it reflects clearly on the emotions of happiness, peace and well-being. Without a clear headspace, your bedroom will never be perfect.
