The funny thing is, when you make an account on here with your Gmail or Email address, it asks for access to your account so they can send notifications and such. But wouldn’t it fix all the problems if it used your age from your Email? I mean think about it, you’re required to input your age to make the Email. And if they did, they could make it to where only a certain age range can see each other’s posts. And anyone that has associations with your account(through Emails and other socials) you're automatically able to see that way you can still see your family or friends blogs without having to hunt them down or fake an age check. Because there’s no reason a 25-30 year old is hanging around and talking to a 13-16 year old.

That actually makes so much sense bc like why not use the age of the gmail acc?? I think they js want ppl to lie abt their age to talk to ppl older which is pretty sad

There’s been plenty of ban waves here, the only issue is that they target the victims and not the predators. I’m assuming their thought process is that if there’s no minors to groom, then predators aren’t going to be interested in the platform. However, unfortunately, children will find a way to get in because, let’s be frank, there’s nothing physically stopping them from just making a new account.

Exactly!! It's so weird to js ban things that aren't predatory(I think some other communities are but not the one I'm in) but the second there's a predator they do nothing abt until it's too late and it's js sad bc now there's victims that don't even understand they're doing something wrong esp ones posting csam since that IS illegal I wish feds js went through these type of communities instead of some other communities bc "violence in media start gun violence!!!"(even tho that isn't as close to why that happens)
