i feel like being constantly around adults on the internet has hurt me more than helped. i worry that my feelings are too childish and that i need to repress them and "grow up", I feel embarrassed to ask people to help me not have to see the names of those who bother me. I feel childish. I fear being judged by the adults who follow me, that they're looking at me as just "the teenager". I am a teenager, but also I don't wish to be looked down upon for my age. I may not be the most emotionally mature individual, I never have been, but I don't want to be seen as othered due to the fact that I'm not an adult. I hate the mindset of "you're so mature for your age" because maturity for so many people is incredibly different. I personally think I can be apart of more adult conversations, I have been for years at home, but when I get into small arguments I spiral. I don't wish to be seen as lesser due to the fact I do not understand how to control harsh emotions I feel while stressed.
Does this make sense??? idk i really. really hate being looked down upon for my age. the whole vesperione "a minor started a fight with me" and having people back me up because i was a minor kinda bugged me and im thinking about it again. what does age have to do with most things anymore? 30 year olds and 15 year olds can bond over fandoms over the internet, and while kids deserve internet protection from harsher topics, i don't like the idea that minors need to be sheltered from conversations they have the life experience and intelligence to be a part of
