i really missed alice and gwen's dynamic & now that it's (mostly) just the two of them in the office i think they should kiss on the mouth
this is how I imagine W btw
grab your shirts everybody WE MADE IT!!!!!!!
Man where the fuck do I even start.
The DR Never-Realm! It's not the most visually impressive I'm gonna be honest, BUT...
Is this a new formling, or someone familiar, who also has black hair and a tail-shaped cape...
Yup, Euphrasia is officially part of the team.
What the fuck is going on with Zilvar? The weapon's eyes are glowing, usually the whole green thing glows, not just the eyes. Also, they're usually gold, NOT ORANGE/RED. IS RAS'S MASTER TALKING TO ZILVAR THROUGH THE WEAPON?!!??!
Percival is getting attacked by a giant robot monster that I can only assume is of Imperian origin in a very... unknown place. It reminds me of the City of Temples tho.
ROBY!!!!
Flying cars??? Like from Rebooted, or something new?
The ninja are in the Land of Madness, being tailed by a bunch of samurai in cars and bikes? WHO are these folks
WHO THE FUCK ARE THESE CLOWNS BACK HERE... also it seems we're getting a new/old ninja team split-up this season which is very intriguing.
My thingy went up a little.
Is there like an illegal sky race going on or what's up with everybody?
Wait is this pre-amnesia Jay? Is the Quintesson affiliated with the Administration or what happened here??? Who is this freak???
Ok so the Weapon is burning through Sora's protective case and going absolutely fucking haywire???
Hey, more of those samurai dudes!
Ok so Frak is seemingly doing his whole own thing with the Loyalists rn, sure.
I have mixed feelings on how Grimtak looks but this is really cool.
SORA'S OLD MECH IS BACK! And she's in another Mech-Master race it seems, like a... a Mech-Master 10,000 of some sort?
Oh god get that horrific hunk of shit out of my face. Wyldfyre please eject the godawful car at once.
Ok more Loyalists terrorizing the Crossroads, interesting!
Lloyd aura to end off, okay, interesting!
There’s a quality that certain books/movies/TV shows have that leads me to say, “Yeah, I can see people making fanfiction of that.” It’s something to do, I think, with how tight the story is, how much feels open-ended or like it could be elaborated on.
Something like Breaking Bad, for example, has low squiggability (that’s what I’m calling this quality). It’s tightly written, the characters are consistent, there’s little left to interpolate or extrapolate. Obviously, people DO write fanfic of Breaking Bad, but it still has a low squiggability score. Whereas something like Supernatural has a high squiggability score. Fantasy and science fiction often have high squiggability scores. This suggests squiggability could also be related to worldbuilding and potential for people to borrow a premise or setting.
And sometimes you’ll read or watch something and you’ll say, “Ah, low squiggability,” and then you’ll open tumblr and find out that everyone else seem to think its squiggability was very high indeed.
He's so handsome. You'll all be sorry.

Those are the people responsible for all this mechanic stuff. You are telling me Pixal who was IN SOMEONE ELSES MIND was the only one able to rebuild her body? After 7 seasons? None of them would even try? None of them even thought about it?
I will be mad about this forever 🤦♀️
Edit: This isn't hate to any of those characters! It's abt the writing😭

shout out to book!grace, who blasted himself with 29 atmospheres worth of 210c (410f) degrees hot straight ammonia, in the hopes that rocky would survive. who carried rockys whole 168kg (370lbg) down ladders in a make-shift carrier. who turned around for rocky, fully expecting to die of starvation. sigh. who was just a little bit more of a bitch than movie!grace (whats that one quote where hes like "if i had a nickel for every parent i wanted to slap during my career, id have enough to fill a sock and hit them with that instead"). who was purposefully given memory loss, so he wouldnt sabotage the mission (something he threatned many times). who wasnt "friendless", like he was depicted in the movie. i miss you so bad. you were everything.

I love Carl's introduction. It's such a great establishing moment.
Ryland Grace has made it all the way to his bike with Eva Stratt at his heels, so her trusted security team has correctly assessed it's time to move in the cars, and Carl is approaching off-screen.
Grace comes out of the little "I don't know why that makes me such a nut!" rant, and there Carl is, stepping up into frame exactly next to Stratt. Tall, broad, unimpressed, unmistakably a force to be reckoned with, unmistakably a trusted professional.
But also a nameless goon at this point. An extension of the threat Stratt seems to represent to Grace. A depersonalized tool.
Grace clocks the cars, his presence, the unfolding situation, instantly and incredulously. And he does something clever, something he always does, which is to call attention to the absurdity of the unspoken threat by trying to force the situation into a normal mold.
"I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name."
Turning Eva's nameless goon into a person with agency. Trying to force a relationship that hinders coercion.
Ideally, this would force them all to acknowledge how abnormal they are acting and retreat a little to keep up the appearance of normality. Or admit to what they are doing by refusing. Either way, the ball shifts out of Ryland's court into theirs.
Neither happens, though.
Carl sees exactly what he's trying to do with that and interrupts him mid-question. "Carl." And then keeps staring at him the same way as before. One word, and we already know so much about him.
He is not a nameless goon. He is an individual named Carl.
And he fully supports what is happening there. Because nothing is normal and it's stupid to pretend that what is happening isn't happening.
So yes, while he bonds with Grace over silliness and is the astrophage-coparent and instigator of Carl's Hypothesis... he is also entirely introduced to us as the man who will wish Grace the best of success on the mission while he's being sedated on the ground. Because Carl has a personal opinion about what is at stake.
"Sun's really dying, isn't it?"
"Yeah."

ryland grace is like the most interesting guy ever to me
like hes so so kind but also so so far up his own ass. he picks fights. he talks over people and doesnt like being interrupted. he likes making others laugh. he likes kids. he simultaneously takes things too seriously and doesnt take them seriously enough. he'll yell and throw shit but tuck his tail between his legs and run the second his ego is threatened. he only sleeps when he starts getting stupid from sleep depravation. his fear of intimacy makes him easily annoyed with other people, but it also makes him not want to worry anyone. he doesnt swear but only out of habit. he's scared of most things but was adventerous in college. he is a coward and also the hero
To be quite honest with you all I do think that aro/ace-spectrum fans in fandoms where people are desperately inventing crossover ships and humanizing non-human characters in order to have a conventionally attractive guy to ship the main character with, instead of possibly having to enjoy a story with no romance in it, have the right to refer to everyone else as cowards.
Sorry you almost had to entertain the idea that people like me exist, I'm sure that was very painful for you.
“we want complex female characters” you guys can’t even handle tracker o’shaughnessey.
