I used to be able to write of love and loss, as if it were nothing; I thrived off of the bittersweetness of how I could manipulate words and characters to convey emotion I had never really known.

Until I came to know it myself. In my own life.

And now I can't even read my own writing anymore. It triggers too many memories; memories in no way at all connected to my words.
