So every year(-ish) in December I do a drawing of a favorite comic character of mine, Phoenix of the X-Men, as a sort of #anyonecanimproveatdrawing and mainly to check my own progress.

I like this year’s a lot, showing how I use inkwash a lot more in my work these days, and I’ve narrowed my use of color, clarified my details (and still don’t know how hands work). 

Looking forward to when I have like 15 of these (but I’ll be 32 at that point, yikes!)

Introducing my webcomic I’ve been teasing forever!!! It’s called Citadel, the story of a human woman journeying to the mythic Citadel of the Gods in hopes of a miracle. There she encounters dangerous trials, horrific monsters, and magical environments, all in her quest to find the Green Goddess. The 7 page prologue will go up on 9/24, but until then I’ll be posting every other day some character art, and some BTS stuff. Please check it out!!! Reblog this post! Tell ur friendz!!
