sorry if this has already been answered, but where was Vi after Vander passed? I know she was in (and out of?) prison as a teen, but i assume she wasnt there the entire time; did she ever stay with a foster family? and if so, do you think she still keeps in touch with any of them?

vi was just kind of. everywhere

she couldn’t stay at the last drop after a while because it was falling into disrepair so i think she just packed a bag and took off and stayed wherever she could. she stashed her old stuff there and used it as a base sometimes but it was just too painful to live there permanently

she probably couch surfed for most of it since she did know a lot of people even if she had nothing else, and she lived that way for two years up until she went to jail

Okay I know how this might come off with how much people shit on the fact that Jinx and Ekko don't want any more kids but bear with me, this is just an idea

They'd make some sick ass foster parents

this is the ONLY version of it that i’ll accept because they absolutely WOULD be

like once jinx and ekko (and isha) are a bit older and they’re more stable i can totally see them doing that. maybe not in a long term kind of way but you can’t tell me they wouldn’t volunteer to be an emergency bed for the night if someone had nowhere else to go

to lighten it up since you've been dealing with stupid people and to talk about found family again: what's ekko's family situation? you mentioned he's adopted too, did he still grow up with benzo?

yes he did!! i kept his background the same as canon, his bio parents are actually still alive but he was adopted when he was little

when he and jinx+vi were growing up it was really really REALLY bad where they lived, and his parents were in a rough spot and couldn't take care of him so he went to live with benzo instead.

when things got better they probably didn't want to uproot him again because he was so settled (and also his best friends are gone. he's been through enough) so he stayed there, and they were definitely still in his life even though they didn't live together

idk if this was intentional but i LOVE this parallel of Jinx crowd surfing before vs after getting sober and reconnecting w her family :,) seeing her get to have these amazing experiences and ACTUALLY being present for them, AND getting to share them with Vi, oughhhh my heart

also,,, idk if i'm making this too deep but the fact that in the first one she's in the dark at a shitty basement show and in the second one she's outside under the sun,,

not to keep beating this horse but the further we get into this arc of jinx lore the more i realise that a lot of people GENUINELY think that biology is some top tier sacred thing and that not having a kid you're related to is a tragedy

So it’s established that Jinx definitely doesn’t want any more kids, but what would she do if Isha asked for a sibling? (I have many friends who are only children and hey talk about wanting siblings a bunch)

ok so hypothetically speaking because i really don’t think she would, but if she DID

i think the way it would go is jinx would ask her WHY. like what purpose would it serve you. is it because she wants someone else to hang out with at home? is it because she’s seen the bond that vi and jinx have and wants that for herself?? is it so they can form a tag team and start plotting against her

and the answer would probably be that she really needs to shove someone into the pool. and jinx just says well you see, you already have an aunt and a stepdad for that so don’t worry about it

I have to ask, because I've heard new parents complaining about it forever. What would be Jinx reaction if someone went "aww she's adorable when are you having a sibling for her?"about Ihsa. Because apparently that's something people ask

i think she would have 2 options:

make up an absolutely horrific story about why she can't have any more children (complete with tears. because if you ask questions like that you should be prepared for a horrible answer)

tell them that she actually has six others at home, this child is just her favourite and the only one allowed outside

if anyone said something like "oh don't you think she'd be happier if she had a sibling to play with?" she would be like. well funny you should say that because i have a sibling and that actually caused both of us a LOT of trauma. so i think she's fine.
