Just a place for me to post my beginner's work on gunpla kits! I know I've still got a lot to work on and learn like panel lining and proper nub removal but I'm working on it bit by bit!

1/144 Scale High Grade AMS-119 Geara Doga

Cranked out another kit from the backlog, been wanting to do this one for a while to! NGL the feature that drew me to the kit was the shotgun like weapon it has for an accessory, really loved the look of it (and honestly wish more mobile suits used shotguns...cuz why not?) Overall a fun kit, tho the asymmetrical shoulder pads, while cool aesthetically, were kinda awkwardly engineered build wise. Fun kit regardless, def recommended!

1/144 Scale High Grade Io Frame Shiden

One more kit from the Iron-Blooded Orphans series, and wow not gonna lie, probably one of my favorite ones that’s not the main protag suit. The simple design made me iffy at first, but as I built it, the aesthetic won me over. I’ve got some minor gripes over the leg/feet armor, but otherwise it’s a fun kit with a lot of possibilities, especially with all the accessories you could get for it. Warning, there are some really bad nub marks on the kit, but otherwise it’s great!

1/144 Scale High Grade RX-93-V2 Hi-Nu Gundam

Finally my first proper kit since moving, and boy howdy was it a fun one. For a kit from 2009, this thing is shockingly well engineered and was a pleasure to build. The part separation was really impressive for a high grade and was overall just a lot of fun to see being completed part by part. Was also neat how the gray runners were molded in a metallic gray instead of the usual dull version most kits have. My only gripes are that the knees are a bit weak and if you choose to use the bazooka, the ammo pack in the back clashes awkwardly with the fin funnels so it can’t really be held in the shoulder super well, but otherwise it’s a fantastic kit, would definitely recommend it!

1/144 Scale High Grade Petit’Gguy Strayblack & Catcos

Decided to do a small quickie kit to get back into the swing of building again, and this fit the bill just nicely. It’s super easy and charming , just wish it came with an instrument or something, but oh well! Hopefully I can get back into my log of kits soon!

Finally moved in, I just swapped all my gunpla kits from my brother’s larger closet to my own room, gonna have to go through and organize those when I get the chance

UNFORTUNATELY during the move, one day while I was at work, dad kinda went through my already built kits and chucked them hastily into a random box, so chances are most of those kits are FUBAR ;-;

good thing I’ve got plenty of other kits left to build, which I’m hoping to do starting tonight or tomorrow depending on available time!!

it’s perfect cuz I recently got into FFXIV too but it’s down currently due to server transfer stuff for the next two days so...at least I’ve got something to do ;v;

Meanwhile, I’ve also started to watch the grandaddy OG series, Mobile Suit Gundam, and I’m really enjoying it tbh!

all of my unbuilt gunpla kits have been stored away at the new house I’ll be moving into in roughly a month or two after renovations, so no new models for me until then ; - ;

sucks cuz I wasn’t planning on moving them all quite yet, but plans change, just gotta pack up the built kits safely for later

So I got a gift today and it was a small “Gundam Converge” mini model for the RX-0 Full Armor Unicorn Gundam (Awaken Mode) and it’s one hell of a prize for a gatchapon toy considering how much stuff it has going with it. Really fantastic with all the accessories, and I’ve always been a fan of the blue/green psycho frame

anyways, again, I apologize for the huge delay on new model kits being built, I’m planning on moving a town over and I really don’t want to build a kit then stuff it back into its box and transport it, so all new kits are on hold for another month or two unfortunately, but I definitely have quite the backlog to work with and share with you guys when I get going, including the HGUC version of this mini model!

1/144 Scale High Grade Gundam Astaroth Origin

The original form of the Astaroth from Iron Blooded Orphans, before its armor and armaments were swapped out and chop-shopped the gear from other mobile suits. I love both designs tbh, and it was a lot of fun to build the origin version, still felt different enough from the other one that it felt fresh and interesting. My ONLY real gripe with the kit was that the stickers were GOD AWFUL, like yikes this has to be the first time I literally only used 3 of the 10ish stickers it came with. Otherwise, it’s a great kit! Also I LOVE the fact that it comes with a shotgun, it’s so tough finding mobile suits that do.

Master Grade, High Grade, and Assaul Kingdom Gachapon Prize versions of Shining Gundam

1/100 Scale Master Grade GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam

And now the master grade version of the shining gundam!! I love the kit and design, but I had 3 big gripes with the kit unfortunately. The stickers are horrendous and will most likely fall off (the front skirt ones are fine but the ones on the ankle armor started to peel almost immediately, rip) so you’re probs better off painting them in, but thankfully there are hardly any stickers to begin with so it’s fine. The way the chest part is designed means I keep popping it into the body by accident while trying to handle it (it’s actually popped in during the third set of poses, I completely forgot to reset it). The final bit is that the kit uses screws for the major joints, which, while it makes it RIDICULOUSLY sturdy and super well structured for wild martial arts poses, they’re a pain in the ass to actual screw in, since some of the armor pieces need to slide snugly over the top of some of the screws, so you really need to make sure they’re in there super tight or the armor won’t fit right.

Barring those gripes, it’s a fanstastic kit and a great introduction to master grades as a whole, with a good mixture of simplicity and complexity for certain parts. And again, I love just how poseable the kit is <3

1/144 Scale High Grade GF13-017NJII God Gundam

ERUPTING! GOD! FINGER!!!! Domon Kasshu’s second mobile suit, used during the second season of G Gundam. The build is a lot more solid feeling then the Shining Gundam, and I really do enjoy the extra martial arts posed hands they give with the kit for some neat poses. I do kinda miss the asymmetrical beam saber placement that the Shining Gundam used, but as a whole the God Gundam looks solid as is. A bit bummed out the middle chest insignia doesn’t use a clear piece like the Shining Gundam used as well, but oh well! The core lander in this one is a lot more detailed too, which is fun, still pleasantly surprised that they can be removed and such too, impressive for a high grade.
