i am a business owner and am in the process of moving from one house to another. in addition, i am fostering kittens and dedicate a lot of my off-time towards work. as such, my activity will be extremely low. i can be found on discord very easily.

i always softblock when unfollowing. if you were unfollowed but not softblocked, it was a tumblr glitch. let me know if it happens.

sometimes, i make google docs templates for fun. if you want one, i usually won’t mind making one to your specifications. (examples)

𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐓 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄,   𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐈𝐓 𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐂𝐄𝐄𝐃𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐗.        Fragmentary rumors had reached her ears,   whispered by frightened yokais and restless specters,   and although the vulpine - she had initially dismissed them them as naught but insignificant chatters spoken by equally insignificant mouths,   a sudden surge of power in the land had been enough to change her mind and pique her attention.        If it was true that the Great Serpent was really planning on coming back,   then who was she to ignore the dire consequences of it   ?   The sole prospect of a new era of chaos and carnage had effortlessly awakened the ravenous beast within.

And here she is now,   golden gaze settled ‘pon the visage of the young man whilst Tamamo no Mae observes him with the keen eye of a strict and merciless critic.        Although normally the ancient beast would have maintained her true identity a secret,   she was not willing to lose the precious chance of conversing with him,   free and unbound by human façades and polite white lies.        A sway of flame - coated appendages behind her proud silhouette,   the languid curling of cherry - laden tiers into a simper wholly drenched in greedy malice.        ❝   It seems that my informants were not lying…   So Yamata - No - Orochi is really trying to return to the ugly world of mortals.   ❞        A brief pause,   the crooning of her head to one side as a single fine brow is raised in curious inquisitiveness.        ❝   And you,   young man,   are desperately trying to stop him.        WHY   ?   ❞

    standing before him is something curious; perhaps the very sign that he is being watched -- that, in the shadows, they whisper his revered name. the proof lies in the existence of supposed informants, and now, burning bright protuberances that blind him with the back-lit figure of an ancient power that is dutiful to turmoil. bound by the breadth of the archivist's cerebrum, the yamata-no-orochi, perplexed, laughs with the depths of its acid-laden soul, and coils comfortably in its rotted homespace. an ally is what exactly what the serpentine beast had been hoping for; though, perhaps not one such as the tamamo-no-mae.

     the human panics. 

     he is not even given a chance to conceal a single thing, eyes warming over with the ancient, baleful glow of the serpentine king. though normally he is quick to quip, the shock seizes his tongue and stalls his words, forcing him to marinate in the vixen’s ubiquitously powerful aura. he almost forgets about the heavy grocery bag in his hand, until the plastic begins to dig into his fingers -- he clutches it tighter.  “ ya know what’s real fucked up? “  eyebrows draw down in harsh, offended lines.  “ i’d rather be takin’ a nap at home right now, but instead, i’ve got an asshole in my head that tries to brainwash me into killing people every couple o’ hours, “  he spits.  “ endure that for twenty years and see where that drives ya. shit’s annoying. “

    The  only  time  she  could  sleep  was  when  he  was  laying  next  to  her ,  Selene  intimately  familiar  with  the  inconvenience  of  NIGHTMARES . With  one  hand  maintaining  her  hold  on  his ,  the  other  reaches  out  to  gently  caress  his  face . Hoping  there’d  one  day  be  a  cure  to  her  nightly  horrors  had  been  WISHFUL  THINKING  until  she  met  him ;  Selene  admittedly  SURPRISED  when  she  rose  to  the  sound  of  birds  singing  and  sunlight  peaking  through  the  blinds ,  Seiji  breathing  beside  her  as  the  ceiling  fan  continued  its  lazy  rotation ;  all  things  she’d  prefer  over  the  SCREAMING .

 ❝  Good  morning .  Is  everything  alright ?  You  seem … ❞  she trails  off ,  a  word  to  describe  what  was  off  about  him  evading  her  barely  awake  mind .

     seiji welcomes the touch, leaning into her warm, soft palm. it feels good after a night of feeling lost and cold. it feels more like home, even though he had never really known one. his heart settles into a false sense of relief, simply wanting to enjoy her in the bleak starting minutes of his day. she calls attention towards his disposition, and his smile falters slightly, knowing that he won’t be able to keep it up for long. 

     “ ... just a bad dream. “  his head lolls to the side in lieu of a shrug, face sinking further into the pillow. he always had a knack for letting bad things bother him anyway.  “ to be honest, i don’t even remember what it was about. “  tightening his grip a little, he pulls her hand toward him, resting the back of her hand against his chest. his heart is still climbing down from an austere high, but feels more steady than just a few moments prior. 

     “ it’s easy to forget all the bad things when i’m with you, “  he laughs, half-joking.  “ so don’t worry about me. did you sleep well? “

        “how cute~!” morana laughs, making no effort to muffle the mirthful sound, though she does draw her wife into a comforting hug. she rubs her cheek against the top of kaoru’s head. morana has forgotten what it is to fear anything, let alone bugs, but a plan to kill all the ones in the house stews behind her eyes. “there isn’t anything going on in their little brains. just survival. they couldn’t care less about you or me.” 

     “ what part of that is cute!? “  that said, it’s hard to protest when she is pulled into the comfort of her wife’s arms. despite the grumpy grumbling, kaoru is happy to soak up the extra attention; but still half-focused on the topic at hand. at least morana doesn’t tease her human-ness like finn does.  “ you say that, but think about wasps. they’re just assholes. “

     it is a rare, lazy day in bed for kaoru. after what felt like months of nonstop work, having today to wind down and stay under the covers, even despite her workaholism, feels like a dream come true. it is winter when she feels it should still be fall; and regardless of their best efforts, the shared abode seems to have taken on the hiemal chill that has swept the city. her fingers, in particular are red and frigid. given any opportunity, the would find themselves tucked tightly in the bedsheets, except for when she wanted to check her phone.

     the day rolls by. kaoru falls in and out of sleep at her leisure, only rising when gavin calls her down for mealtime. she almost doesn’t realize that nightfall has come until jordan enters the room, sweeping in the aura of fatigue after a day on the grind. she glances out the window. oh.  

     “ hey, “  she smiles comfortably, watching him shed his varsity jacket to come join her in bed. the sheets lift just enough to let him in without letting her accumulated warmth escape. anderson slides in, and the doctor shivers slightly at the touch of his frigid skin. still, she ushers him closer, and wraps herself around him the best she can. helps him settle down and get comfortable. gives him a kiss on the head.

     “ good? good. “

the ride to the pin was spent in silent worry - they’d established she was safe, not too far out, but the thirty minutes it took to get there… well. not everything bad in the world would always happen. they’re still trying to accept that.

when he sees her on the horizon, he lets out a sigh of relief, and begins to decelerate. finally, eventually, he pulls of to the side, removing his helmet and turning off the engine. “kaoru-chan! hey. sorry to keep you waiting.” 

they throw a leg over one side of the motorcycle, and walks towards her - seeing her smile only causes his to grow, and he follows her gaze to the car. he’d have to remember to take a look at it. but, their attention is turned back to the telescope.

“… yeah. got all the time in the world.” they finally reply, looking skyward. “what’re we lookin’ at tonight?”

     part of kaoru feels sheepish, pulling out all of her equipment in the middle of the road. but who could blame her; at the quiet, scenic edge of town, it seems to fit the vibe just right.  “ callisto. i know it’s not very jaw-dropping, but i think it’s pretty charming. “  the moon, in its multicolor spectrum, looks like a galaxy of its own, collected into a small sphere next to the supergiant planet. 

     his growing smile makes her feel a little shy -- he sure is handsome. but being as she is, she prefers to break the spell before she gets lost in it. she casually raps a knuckle on his prosthesis and ushers him towards the telescope.  “ come have a look, “  she cheerfully muses.

     there’s evidence that she’s made herself comfortable: from the blanket draped over the lip of her open trunk; to the mostly-empty thermos on the ground; to her relaxed and open posture, which was usually hard-set and rigid.

     “ it was lucky that i happened to have it with me tonight. i would’ve died from boredom out here. “

they’re glad they aren’t too terribly invested on the collection of words on their laptop - they might have missed the soft buzzing of their phone, otherwise. eyes glance at the time on the digital clock on their desk - this late? a call from kaoru? for a moment, they can feel a certain pressure on their heart, anxiety slowly begins to creep in.

“kaoru-chan?” he answers, almost before his phone even reaches his ear. she doesn’t sound troubled, doesn’t sound pained - a silent, relieved sigh escapes his mouth, and he’s already nodding and standing.

“no, don’t apologize - of course i can. send me your location - i’ll be there as soon as i can. promise.”

they’re already out the door, at this point, one helmet in their free hand, the other holding a bag with a spare. hopefully she isn’t afraid of motorcycles…

     he sounds worried. of course he would -- kaoru usually had no reason to call him, much preferring to text on most occasions. the matter is more pressing this time around, though, luckily not by much.  “ got it. i’ll drop a pin now. “  she replies, the harrowing night sounding more agreeable when the line drops. a few quick swipes sends her location to renji’s phone, and then dials the nearest towing company to pick up her car. 

     although she nods more to herself, she cannot bring herself to disagree with being at the edge of a great scenery. she has her reservations, but ends up throwing open her trunk anyway, pulling out a large, heavy case.

     when renji arrives, kaoru has her large-lens telescope set up alongside her car. her eye is keyed into the eyepiece, which is set skillfully on one of jupiter’s moons. the roar of the motorcycle can be heard from far down the road, and when she looks up, she is not sure of who exactly it is until his head comes from under the helmet. her visage brightens instantly.  “ ah! thanks for coming, you’re a lifesaver! “  a gesture to her lame vehicle shows that it has not yet been picked up.  “ the towing company said they’d be a bit ... i thought it’d be a good time to do some stargazing. if you aren’t busy, maybe you’d like to as well? “

the welcome mat. How long have you been stained? I bet you can’t even remember the shoe that left it there, I bet there have been too many visitors to keep count. You watch people welcome themselves into your home, listen as they smash things against the walls and throw things to the floor. As they leave, you smile, say “thanks for stopping by!” and sit still as they wipe the blood off their shoes. You’ve gotten very good at that. Smiling when you want to scream. How long before your teeth are not enough to keep the sound inside? How long until it is their blood that is tracked across your home? I bet you’ll remember when and where you got this stain. I bet it’ll taste oh so sweet.

     “ you’ve just seen it all, haven’t you? “  she puffs, the tension in her shoulders releasing when the bug vanishes. for whatever reason, it sounds like she should be used to seeing centipedes, but she can say that she has gone several safe years without even catching a glimpse of one.  “ humans are predictable! bugs, though ... you just don’t know what’s going on in their stupid bug brains. “

     “ i couldn’t come up with another reference! wait, hold on -- “  he rakes his head for a moment, face scrunching in a faithful amount of thought.  “ you wouldn’t give someone water in place of a blood transfusion! i use chemicals for the film -- chemicals can be clear, you know? “
