Age: 26

Born: 20.03.1996

After so much crap in her life Ara doesn't ask for much - some peace, some quiet and some beer once in a while. Unfortunately, as an overworked accountant and a sister to Yves, she gets only beer. It's not all that bad though and, as much as she wants her sister to find an ACTUAL job, helping Yves out as a stream manager and cameraman has become a surprisingly fun pastime. If only she didn't have to pick her up from the police station so often… At least she can count on John and Adam to keep her older sister out of trouble while she's there.

She might not give off the most sociable first, or even second impression, but as long as you don't act as an absolute garbage of a human being, her polite, yet distant, demeanor will gradually change to something more warm and open.

Just don't pry to much into her past.

Age: 27

Born: 08.03.1995

Missing some main character energy? Look no further, this gal lives like she's got plot armor for years to come, much to her younger sister's dismay. Thankfully, while this doesn't exactly help her navigate a conventional adult life, her childlike curiosity and energetic personality drew quite some attention to her ghost-hunting video channel. Not enough to quit job-hunting at whatever places that didn't ask for a college degree, but just enough to cover at least some of the bills at her sister's flat. And maybe to grab a cold one with Ara, John and Adam on their day off.

Love her, hate her, Yves is going to march through it all to the beat of her own drum, even if it gets her, and sometimes everyone around her, into all sorts of trouble.

But what's life without little bit of adventure, eh?

Jonathan Watts

Age: 29

Born: 14.02.1993

Dependable. Principled. Persistent. There are many ways to say why John belongs at his detective constable position, some might say that he was born for it. They would be wrong, though. If anyone can relate to the struggle that comes with changing your life around when you're deep down at the bottom, it would be him. Maybe that's why he got surprisingly well with Yves, so similar and yet so different from who he used to be, and why he didn't decline that invitation at the bar, despite their first meeting being far from a typical meet-cute, unless you somehow find an arrest of a trespasser in an abandoned building cute.

His past might not have contributed positively to his outlook on live, but at least with his cat, Adam, Yves and Ara by his side, he can't help having a good feeling about his future.

It's a shame he gets the worst cases of tunnel vision sometimes, really.

Anyway, meet Adam, the only put-together person in the weird friend group that is the main cast lol

Adam Oliver Colwick

Age: 30

Born: 28.08.1992

Kids love him, ladies trust him with their drinks, what can you do, the guy just have one of those faces that puts everyone at ease. Well, everyone except maybe chronically cynical people like John and Ara, but they didn't have a chance against his charm either. Don't be fooled tho, he's not just a cinnamon roll. He's a cinnamon roll with a gun. While he did join the police force to help people, if you take his kindness for granted, you'll see exactly how he passed his PE exams. And, considering how much patience Adam has, it would most likely be your fault, too.

Despite being the oldest in this weird little friend group, he still hasn't lost that youthful spark, helping Ara and John not to completely derail into pessimistic thoughts, while balancing out Yves chaotic nature.

His affinity for befriending all sorts of traumatized people should be studied, though.

i dont remember if i mentioned it anywhere in this blog, but throughout a couple of last years i've made a matching set of keychains with the main cast as a gift to my friends

anyways, late in november i finally finished the keychain design for Adam, who joined a bit later than other characters, and i went ahead and ordered it on my usual website

long story short i have no idea whether it was caused by winter holidays mayhem, or if there was some other trouble on carrier's end but now im placing a new order while waiting for the refund

and now "Adam lost somewhere in China" is our new inside joke lmao

Silly fact about Ara: she's so terrible at playing any game involving balls it almost feels like a curse, but not in a way you would think

John: Hey Ara, me and Adam were thinking about playing some basketball, wanna join?

Ara: I don't think that's a good idea

Adam: Aw come on, how bad can it be?
