One Step at a Time
Okay. My first step here is vegetarianism. I told Jeff and my parents, both were slightly frustrated at first, but Jeff especially has become extremely supportive. I've been vegetarian for 1.5 weeks total (not long I know). It took me a week and a half to get rid of my meat I had in my fridge, and now I'm a week and a half in. Things I've already noticed. 1. I've started having more energy these past couple days. 2. It's not that hard to do, I'm finding plenty of meals that are just as good as meals with meat 3. My digestive functions were and still are kind of thrown off. First 5 days I was extremely bloated and felt disgusting. Now (sorry for the TMI) I just have horrible, deathly gas... that I harass Jeff with. 4. My grocery bill was CHEAPER. who knew! 5. I've lost 2lbs doing nothing else different. 👌 Something I'm personally proud of, people don't know I'm vegetarian. I'm not going around boasting my new way of life. I'm not going around thinking I'm better than everyone else. I'm just living life. Unless the subject comes up, I will not force it upon a casual conversation. This is a me project (with some blogging), not a them project. If I wanted to do social experiments I would be in a different field. ✌
I'm Gonna Do It
Who else on here has seen "What the Health" on Netflix? This documentary keeps haunting me. I keep going back and thinking about it. Cancer, health, large corporations choosing money over their customers... it's all pretty scary. That's why... I've decided to.... try to be vegan. Jeff is disappointed; he's one of most enthusiastic carnivores I know. So much that he made his dad a smoker for father's day. So what's my plan? I'm not fully vegan yet, I'm trying to get rid of the meat in the house that Jeff won't eat, aka the honey ham lunch meat. Thankfully, Jeff will keep me grounded; I'm not trying to become a preachy vegan, this is for me and me alone. I'm not going to tell my parents, nor most of my friends. I don't even think most of my friends follow me on tumblr, so this isn't really me "telling my world." I am however, a scientist. So I will record my weekly check ins, discuss energy level, discuss health and discuss weight. I will post some recipes I find to be good in taste and I will also happily support all carnivores. We were made it eat meat you know, we don't have "fangs" for eating vegetables. Just an update on me, myself and I.

I am out of my own options I guess lol not sure where else to look. I'm stuck in this weight plateau I'm not even losing inches anymore. can you help point me in some kind of direction?
Hey anon, it’s very common to have a weight loss plateau. Here are two options that will help you overcome it.
1) Take a closer look at your nutrition and see if something can change: shifting carbohydrates calories, decrease overall caloric intake or try fasting:

2) Increase the intensity of your workouts / do some high intensity interval training (HIIT) it will help you burn more calories than your regular workout:

Except it's jeffles, and he's just dancing around me making obscure noises.
I'm having difficulty this morning, my whole body aches and I'm still tired, but this is the only time I can work out today I think. Ugh, why am I still in bed!
