Don't stress, do your best, forget the rest
Post-College Stress
We all know that the period between graduation and finding a job can be a very stressful time. You suddenly find yourself in a world where you most fend for yourself, you no longer have your best pals or your parents to help, you are on your own and its your talent (and only your talent) that should be your secret weapon.
The small-insignificantly-tiny problem is: What the hell is your talent?!
You certainly feel that you are good at something, otherwise you'd sill be in school trying to graduate. The truth is that out here (in the real world) in your sector, there are thousands others as good or better than you.
Its not uncommon for graduates to get into a slight depression or extend indefinitely their job serch for fear of rejection or simply finding out that you are not a real-star, when all your teachers and mentors told you, you where.
Don’t fret its not over yet. Our generation has a secret weapon. Social Media (wait let me finish), it’s not just to keep in touch with your friends or have you five minutes of fame with that pic that got 100 likes. It can be a powerful working tool, that our generation knows oh-so-well. What I found is that online-networks give you the power of collective-knowledge and group-Inspiration at the grasp of our hands. Make that social-knowhow your extra talent that the generations before us not have.
Being Villain: Its not just mr.google that can help.
you can do this!

I'll try to keep this in mind, while having my next DRAMA-ATTACK
Write it out
Having this Tumblr has become somewhat of an escape to my own thoughts, its the little corner of the social-universe that makes me feel comfortable enough to just write. Its where I can let go of ideas and opinions (that kind that you most tell someone - kinda like gossip).
I most be the tenth million tumblr-blog and provably (a secretly hope to) won't get many followers. i think to myself, who are you? Why would people want to read you? you are not famous or a millionaire entrepreneur, Why would someone follow your (not design and visually pretty) blog?
Well you know what .... Who cares?! this types of blogs are meant to start for you and you only. So i'll keep blogging and you should start too.
If you don't like to write; start documenting your ideas, thought and opinions. Be it with mood boards, collages, post-its, a collection of quotes, you name it! The important thing here is for you to recall the subjects and inspiration sources and tingled your bones.
Being Villain: Write what you know, they say. So start writing!
Be a proper Hero
a good source is never revealed
the always-prompt Intern
Be noted in a crisis
There is no agency that is absent from crisis situations; the client changes the presentation date, one more concept-idea most be created for the next day or (my favorite) the boss realizes the team can present something better by the end of the day.
Even thou it may seem that this types of situations have little to do with the Intern, "au contraire" my friend, is the right moment to shine.
Use the best intern "job" there is, (besides photocopies of course) RESEARCH. I know, it must sound boring and the picture in your mind is provably of you surrounded by piles of books or more likely tabs of google pages. You can be the hero.
Before you open the champaign, I know that you kept bookmarks of interesting ideas and best practices while doing the first research, right? (picture me looking at you with teacher-like dropped glasses). Anyhow, know that they will come in handy, the award-winning-solution to the crisis might just be buried in that preliminary work you and-only-you did..
Being Villain: Be the Hero with a tough of villainy.
when in doubt ... have both
