I’m not dead

My childhood has supplied me with a perfect depiction of my executive dysfunction carrying my creativity.
I am actually working on stuff believe it or not, & have been for quite a while. Just swamped with being a mother-type-creature & ensuring the smaller less deadlier versions of me are staying out of trouble; getting to bed on time & all that other parent-related responsibilities. Regardless; I’ve made quite a bit of headway with some personal projects, even got some shit drawn on paper... Shocking; I know. I’m not going to sit here & give some spiel about how I expect ‘such & such in this time frame’, because experience & life has shown me it tends to never work out that way. Nevertheless, what I DO have planned is that I should get a shit ton of backlogged work under my belt, that way when I do commit to a regular schedule; there won’t be any risks of falling behind on the workload. The good news is; even after a recent drop in creativity due to some personal stuff, I went back to what I was working on & fell back in love with the characters & story all over again, & found myself eager to jump back into the saddle & get this thing finished. That; to me, is one of the best signs that I will get my plans completed. It’s also a great boost to see just how much I already have completed, & that alone is a great help in getting the creativity sparks flaming again. Slow & steady is better than nothing at all :)
